This flat iron makes your hair very silky and doesn't seem to break the hair like cheaper versions. It is nice and easy to use and is a great product!

I had the old version of Sedu and I loved it so much. I lost it during a vacation so I purchase this one. It is a good flat iron but definitely not as good as the older version and not the best one out there.
Great Flat Iron

Before the Sedu, I used a Revlon flat iron, which definitely gave out over time. This iron definitely does a better job than the Solia, and seems healthier than the Chi. I think that it is well worth the price, especially if you can get the promotion where the 1/2 inch flat iron is free with a purchase of the 1 inch flat iron.
Is is ok..

I bought this because of all of the great reviews. I have wavy thick course hair and it seems I still have just as many split ends but it does make my hair a little shinier thats about it!! I thought this straightener would be different than the other but it really isnt!!

I worked in a salon and am very familiar with professional irons. The Sedu Revolution is good, but not as good as everyone says. The iron doesn't use heat efficiently, so it feels less hot than it is. It takes more time to do my hair. My hair is not as "flat" as I would like.... I used to use the CHI original. Maybe the original Sedu is better. Overall, I really feel like I settled for less than what I had.
Awesome flat iron

My husband got this flat iron for me for my birthday. I love it. It rocks my face off. I was considering a Chi but after reading reviews on them I changed my mind and I am so glad I did. My hair is baby fine and naturally very curly. The straighening part wasnt as much of a problem as keeping my hair straight in the high Tennessee humidity. With this iron, the humidity doesn't even touch my hair. Not only that, my hair is silky soft even after straightening it every day. My friends little girl is mixed and has very kinky curly hair. I used my Sedu on her hair and it was stick straight. She loved it. I would definately recommend this flat iron to anyone.

This is my first flat iron and I am very pleased with the product. The iron's adjustable heat setting allows me to get the right temperature for my hair type. The iron also makes is very smooth and shiny. I am pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone. The carrying case is great for storage, travel and from keeping the iron from burning the counter.
Very good flatiron

I have tried other flat irons in the past and never wanted to splurge on an expensive one. I had the Helen of Troy, and the Jibere most recently. It really makes a difference to get a good one like the Sedu. It gets soooo hot, and it makes your hair super straight. Buy it, and you won't be dissappointed. I have been using it for 6 months and it is perfect.

Great flat iron. I have an older Sedu with 1.5" plates and needed smaller plates. This fit the bill well and I like the improvement of the rounding of the places at the edges so I don't get dents in my hair. Great purchase!
Leaves Hair feeling better than any other iron

I really like Sedu revolution. It glides through my hair very smooth and leaves my hair moisrurized. Its weird, like the plates literally moisturize your hair. I also have a GHD IV Styler, I think the sedi straightens just as good as ghd, but it doesnt curl well at all. I can curl with any straightener, even a two inch one, but I could not curl with the Sedu revolution. Other than that, great iron, will keep your healthy.
Best flat iron on the market...

This flat iron is the best I've ever used. I have very fine hair and not a lot of it. It gives my hair a professional and very smooth look. I have used many other flat irons and have NEVER used something as good as this.

I own the Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Iron and I decided to try the Sedu Revolution and was disappointed in comparison. It's a great iron but in comparison to the newer/cheaper model, not as amazing. For someone with thick curly long hair, I would choose the Ceramic Iron over the Revolution. If your hair is thinner then the Revolution is a great iron. #1 over other brands

This is my first Sedu and I do like it. I think it works as well as my Chi flat iron. I like how this one is small & portable. I also like how this one comes with a CD of how to curl, straighten, etc. It also comes with a heat protective pouch.
Great Flat Iron!

This is my second Sedu flat iron. I really liked my first one, but after a few years it went on the fritz. I started to just buy the same model again, but took a chance on this one instead. It is pretty much the same as the original model, but you can curl better with this one. Some reviews said the cord was crappy on this one, but I haven't had any trouble with it. I have naturally curly frizzy hair, and this flat iron completely flattens it out and takes away the frizz. Love the flat iron and totally recommend it!!!
Didn't quite meet my expectations..

I've had the original 1-1/2" Sedu flat iron for about 3 years, but had to purchase another flat iron since I dropped the other one a couple times (still works but not as well). Since I loved the first Sedu, I had to try the newer one, especially since it had that added ability to style hair. However, after trying the new Sedu flat iron, I was disappointed when it kept snagging my hair. I also noticed that my hair wasn't as silky compared to when I used the original flat iron. I had to return it and I also figured the 1 inch flat iron was not for me since I do have thick hair. Maybe they'll come up with something better next time. Until then, I'll plan on buying another one of those older Sedu flat irons.

I returned mine after a week. I could tell it was good for my hair because it glided through really easily, but it didn't get hot enough to straighten as much as I wanted. I exchanged it for the Babyliss and am happy with that one.

This is the first high-end iron I've ever purchased. I can definitely see the difference in it vs. a standard iron. I love how smoothly it glides over the hair and it does create a nice shine in addition to the straightening. I have also used it to create spiral curls.

To be honest I never really used it on MY own hair...I did however use it on my extensions as I transitioned to natural hair and am afraid it will be too hot and mess up my curl pattern now. A couple of my friends borrowed and use it and loved!
