The Best I've Ever Used.

Ok so I picked this flat iron out of all the ones I found. I absolutly LOVE it. I live close to the Gulf and we have nothing but hot, humid weather here. My hair is fine but I have alot of it. So all of the other flat irons I used would work great till I stepped a foot out of my house, then my hair would always frizz or start flying away. This iron WORKS, I haven't had a single fly away or frizzy day since I started using it. I am so very glad I bought this flat iron.

I love, love, love my Sedu Nano revolution for curls and waves!!! I have the traditional Sedu 2" plate that I bought from Folica 10 months ago and I love it so much for straightening my hair that it got me convinced that Sedu is the best brand for me. This time I needed something smaller for curling and thank goodness I went with Sedu Nano because there's no other in the world that is easier and faster for loose curls and waves! I previously bought a CHI 1-inch and had to return it because I, spoiled with the smoothness from Sedu tourmaline plates, simply hated how CHI stuck/grabbed on to my hair, made creases and felt like it was frying my hair.
For those who know Sedu, this is no different... It heats up in 15 seconds, it gets just as hot as the traditional one and it sure doesn't feel like it's damaging my hair when I use it! Go SEDU! :)

I purchased the Sedu about a year ago after heavy research. The standards were temperature, other reviews, weight & quality. I so happy with the Sedu, however, if the manufactures had taken into consideration of the technology of a swivel cord, my life would be that much easier. Instead, when curling my hair, in a panic or not, i have to take the time to untangle the cord.
worth every penny!!

I bought this for my 13 year old daughter who has wavy, fine, shoulder length hair. Other irons she had tried basically fried her hair. The Sedu gives her beautiful, shiny, straight hair. I got the mini flat iron along with it for my short, fine hair and was amazed at the performance. I recommend both!

My Conair Infiniti straightner was splitting my hairs and snagging so I decided to invest in a less damaging and more effective straightener. I wasn't sure what to buy, at first I was thinking about a CHI. I then saw the videos and read the reviews on the Sedu Revolution. I decided to give it a shot and bought it from an ULTA store for the same price as Folica. I was extremely impressed. The video is true to its word, the Sedu flows right through and feels unlike any straightener I have ever purchased. The price is steep but it is worth every penny. The best feature is the curling capability. It really does create curled ends and eliminates the need to curl hair seperately. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

I just had to write to say how fantastic this straightener is! I am not a person that spends a ton (well even a normal) amount of time on my hair, but I have curly hair and live in Atlanta GA, so in the past, if I wanted straight hair that looked good, I had to work quite hard at it (long blow drying sessions followed by long straightening sesions with my old straightener). With the Sedu, all I have to do is do a quick blowdry (no styling, no brush even), turn on the straightener for literally a minute or two, run it through my hair, and off I go with no frizz!!! It is a lazy girl's dream!!!!!!!
Better than my CHI

I've had a chi for years and thought it was the best you could get, until one day it wouldn't turn on. If i wiggled the cord I could get it to turn on but it still turned off in the middle of straighten my hair. I finally decided to buy a new flat iron and when I did the research I realized a lot of girls had the same problem with the chi. I had never heard of Sedu but thought I'd give it a try based on the reviews. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It never snags my hair the way the chi sometimes did and my hair gets even smoother than my chi did. The best part is that it keeps my hair straighter, longer. I only wash my hair every few days and the Sedu keeps my hair sleek and straight until I wash it again. I highly recommend this flat iron.

I'm black and have natural hair, I use this item so much and can't live w/out it. It's better than the one my hair stylist uses. My hair is so shiny and soft afterwards and I curl my hair so beautifully with it. I bring my flat iron to her!
Perfect for fine straight hair

I have really fine naturally straight hair. I had a Chi but it just made my hair flat with no volume...this flat iron made my hair pin straight and has volume...there isn't that burnt hair smell either. I love it and have given my Chi away...!
not worth the money...

This product may be best for patient people who have shorter hair. i have very long hair and I bought this product because I wanted a quality flat iron that would curl also. First off, it doesn't get as hot as I would like, even at the highest setting. Also, which is a big turn-off, is that it takes FOREVER to heat up. Im at college and I wake up at the last possible second I can and make it to class. So I get up, turn on the flat iron, and go brush my teeth and wash my face. I go back to my room and the flat iron isn't not even that hot, so I will do my makeup to try and give it more time to heat up and it still does not get that hot. I owned a Jilbere flat iron before this and I now have another one after the sedu because they are far better then the sedu. Lastly, the Jilbere cost 30-50 bucks and does so much better then this $140. GET THE JILBERE ONE!
Better than the T3 narrow duality by far!

I recently purchased the t3 narrow duality single-pass iron but found it to be a so-so straightener because it didnt leave me hair that smooth, but that was about it. the curls turned out to be more bend, then curl. I've had plenty of practice on other straighteners, so i had no choice but to buy another brand. after lots of browsing around, the sedu and solia were my last choices, and i finally picked the sedu, and i'm so happy i did! i got it today, and the straightens so well and silky smooth. My hair is normal but i have lots of it and it took me 5 minutes flat! i even tried to curl, and it is great!
i love my new sedu revolution! great purchase!
Not so great

I've had this flat iron since about February and I have been less then impressed. I originally had a Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1 1/2") which died after about a year and a half and since I had that one for so long I decided to go with something new so I purchased this flat iron. It works if I blow dry my hair a specific way and if there isn't any kind of humidity in the air. I live in the mountains now though and the second I walk outside my hair starts to flip out once again. The straightener also doesn't come anywhere near to actually heating up to 450 degrees. For some reason my straightener won't even function under 300 degrees or so now. The thing just cuts off and stops functioning.
I really wish I had just stuck with my original Sedu. My advice to anyone looking to purchase a straightener would be to buy the Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron. It's cheaper and in my opinion does a much better job with straightening hair.
The Best!!!

I own three Sedu straightening irons. They are absolutely the best out there. I have the 1 1/2 ceramic tourmaline iron as well as the older nano model. This new nano model is the latest in my Sedu collection. My daughter also owns two Sedus as well. We would not dream of using any other product but Sedu. Sedus do a phenomenal job of straightening our long hair with very little effort. They are well worth the price. Go for it!
I don't like this at all !

I had bought the original sedu in 2006 and I use to love it !...I would wrap the cord around the iron that's why it got messed up, but if it wasn't for that the original sedu is 100x's better than this one...I bought this one in Dec 2008, it wouldn't heat up properly so I decided to send it back so they can send me a new one...that was in May...I got the new one 5 months ago, n today when I tried to turn it...it wouldn't work ! ...on my birthday out of all the days too ...so i strongly suggest that if you want to get the sedu get the original sedu NOT the sedu revolution ! That one is cheaper anyway...so don't think just because this is a newer model it'll be better, I know I learned my lesson cuz I'm sending this flat iron in today so they can send me the old model.

I love this flat iron. It gets super hot, real fast so be careful not to burn yourself. It gets my hair straight, without much effort. I have notice the harder you squeeze the curler, the straighter your hair will be. Save yourselve some money at the hair shop and get this Sedu, you will be pleased.
does what any straightener does

It works, but its not awesome. I had researched many brands and types and finally settled on this one. The temperature setting does not even come close to 450 degrees. My hair, even if straighten will still frizz up in ANY humidity and it leaves my hair feeling... not silky but like...sticky dry? if that makes any sense. I'd say the straightener i bought off an infomercial works way better, and that was like $50.

I was frustrated when I spent a lot of money and bought a Chi straightener and it broke 6 months later. I was skeptical at first but I just got my Sedu straightener in yesterday and today my hair is the best its ever looked. I have thick hair so I needed a straightener that would work fast and the Sedu does exactly that. I think it work way better than a Chi!!! And my hair doesn't snag in the sides which I really like.
It was ok at first

I posted a review a while ago about this product and I thought that it was amazing. I figured that it would be the best applieance ever because of the price, but i am not sold on it anymore. My sedu after 1 yr and a half just literally fell apart. The plates just came off of it. When the iron was working, it got my hair straight, but it didnt get as straight asi know other irons can get it. I was dissapointed to see that my $30 flat iron that i got in my kit from cosmetology school straightens my sister and me's hair much better then the sedu. I would say that if u have the money to spare and want to try it then i guess it would be ok, but definately dont spend your last dollar on it.
