I just received my lovely Pink Sedu in the mail yesterday in one of my favorite colors. If they had had purple I would've purchased both! hehe Also with my order I bought the Chi iron guard spray and Silk Infusion. Oh man that stuff smells heavenly.
Anyway, I am shocked by this iron. It literally took me about 5 minutes to straighten my hair!! I have very thin hair as you will see in the photo. I am sooooooooooooo very happy with the Sedu. It smoothed my hair out in no time at all. I'm not frizzing. My hair is bouncing. It's never bounced before!
I also straightened my daughters hair. She has very, very thick curly hair. I will post a photo of her before and after ASAP. When I told her about this iron she insisted she didn't want to try it. She felt they were all the same. She wanted to stick with the wet/dry iron we purchased at a local store/pharmacy and it's tearing her hair apart. Well, we changed her mind lastnight!!!! She tossed her wet/dry iron, mousse, etc. and is now only using Sedu iron and Chi iron guard/silk infusion. Yay!!!!!
I don't think I would have purchased the Sedu without all of the reviews here. So thank you to all who have reviewed these products. It's very important to see "real" results from "real" people! Here's my contribution..

I have extremely curly frizzy hair because I am mixed. This is the best iron on the market. I have tried everything! This iron gives you shiny straight hair. I had my hair striaght in light rain because i forgot my umbrella and it didn't so much as frizz. You can also make the nicest soft curls with this iron if used correctly. Everyone at work thought I put fake hair in because my hair looked so great. I can finally have different hair styles without it being to time consuming.
I definately recommend this iron to anyone and everyone. Even my husband uses my iron to straightnen up his mohak hairstyle because of its small size.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

This flat iron is beyond EVERYTHING. The plates NEVER snag my wavy hair and it gets your hair silky smooth. The Sedu Revolution gives you everything, from straight to curly styles.

The Sedu Revolution, is my #1! It gives me curly, wavy, straight, and flip styles whenever I need it too! The plates are so sleek, and I never get a snag! I take it where ever I go, and I never leave it behind! Folica's great customer service had it delivered very quickly!

I love my PInk Sedu. I love it barely damages my hair, and gets my hair straight better at lower temperatures. Definitely a great buy for someone looking for a useful, effective, flatiron that gives beautiful results.

Curling, straightening, EVERYTHING. I love this iron, and it can accomplish ANY task. I love the wide range of heat settings, and everything this iron has, really. My hair is annoyingly wavy. It's not curly, but it's not straight either. It works very well on my hair and makes it soft and shiny. I get straight hair and curly hair. YAY.
The first picture is after air-drying it, and the after picture is when I 'sedued' it. (My new verb)

OMG......I just got my Sedu early this morning and i am LOVING it! i have very LONG, hawaiian hair and it's thick, so it takes a while for me to straighten my hair but with sedu it takes 15-20 mins to do all of my hair, it's AMAZING!!!

I absolutely LOVE this straightener! It leaves my hair really soft and shiny. It's also super easy to use the curling feature if you want a little pizzaz! It only takes about ten minutes to straighten my hair, about half the time as before. Love it!!! Would highly recommend!

I am a male with fine shoulder length hair and I use this iron to add shine, reduce frizz and fix a slight wave.
I purchased the " Sedu Revolution Pro Nano Tourmaline Ionic Styling Iron " because I read that it wont pull your hair and it does not.
The Sedu Revolution Pro is an awesome tool I have had a couple of the CHI Nano Styling Irons " that always pulled my hair " prior to getting the Sedu.
It is worth the money, my wife and I now share it, best of the best, we love it.
Works awesome on ethnic hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am half black and half Philippino, and my hair is very coarse and curly. The very first straightener I bought was the 1.5" first generation Sedu, and I loved it! It did a great job straightening my hair, made it shinier, and lasted for days. I had tried using my friend's Chi a few times, but it never worked as well. I recently got a shorter hair style, so I decided to get a smaller size and figured I would upgrade to the new model. It works wonderfully, and I can even use it to curl my hair :)
When I straighten my hair, I usually spray on a protecting thermal spray (right now I use Matrix Sleek Look Iron Smoother) after I get out of the shower....then straighten after I blow dry. If you have ethnic hair, and you want a straightener that works--BUY THIS! It's worth the price!!!!

after countless hours of research, i bought the sedu 1 1/2 inch and returned it because i thought i didnt need the extra 1/2 inch. i bought the sedu 2008 version instead. what i didnt like was the waiting, which took 2 weeks for the exchange. and my 2008 sedu didnt come with the heatproof pouch nor the CD! but it really did work good. unfortunately i do like the 1 1/2 inch better because it really does my hair in less than 5 minutes. this one takes 15 minutes and works really good.
tip: 1. my hair is fairly thick but if you have long, thick hair go for the 1 1/2 inch. also
2.if you want to curl, flip, or style your hair get the sedu revolution (and if u have short hair its better to go with this option).
3. third option is to go a little cheaper and get the old version of sedu 1 inch! it won't hurt, the new one isnt any better than the old one except its appearance.
good luck and buy a sedu!! you'll love it! :)

I just recieved my sedu 2008 model and it works like a charm! It straightens my hair in like 5 minutes where as in the morning i took about half an hour with my big poodle, and it would poof later in the day. I used this and i didnt even have to straighten my hair the next day it was still straight i even washed my hair and then it still was straight. it leaves your hair silky and smooth! BUY IT NOW YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED AND EVEN IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THERES A TWO YEAR WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!! IT EVEN WORKS WITH CHINESE HAIR

This straightener is AMAZING! when i read these reviews i was skeptical, but i just got mine yesterday and it is everything i thought it would be. It heats up quickly, glides smoothly through my hair, and i can use it to make loose curls or flips if i want. It took me 30 minutes to do make my whole head straight and smooth. It took me about 10 minutes to make it flip after. I've used many straighteners and all of them have taken me at least an hour to do my hair completely straight. Even after walkin in a snow storm, my hair stayed straight!...BUY THIS! I've used the CHI and the Solia and SEDU is the BEST for the price! I thought i was going to have to struggle with my hair forever! TRUST ME, BUY ITTTTTT!
Sedu is much better than CHI!

I received my Sedu Revolution today!
And it's a really good iron.
It heats up fast, and my curly hair get really sleek&shiny at only 350fhr. It's great!
And it don't pull your hair, like the chi does.
So i recommend the sedu revolution to everyone!

I absolutely love this flat iron. I was using a 1/2" Chi flat iron and really like it and then it basically had an electrical issue and shorted out in my hand! So, I did a lot of research and wasn't sure if I wanted to buy another Chi or try the Sedu. I decided to bite the bullet and ordered the Sedu. I LOVE IT!! It straightens my hair beautifully and I have very wavy, frizzy hair. It takes me less time to straighten because I only have to go over a piece of hair one time. It also makes my hair shinier and healthier looking than the Chi. I would recommend this to anyone. I bought the 1" and I have just above the shoulder length hair and love it!! Great buy.

Haven't had this only a couple of weeks and We had an ice storm and was without power for 4 days. But the days I have used it it's awsome. I had a CHi and it was good but was hard to work with. This one Heats up within 30 seconds ready to use. It holds the hair great doesn't grab it and pull glides thru it. I've used on barely damp hair great. I have not got to try to curl with it yet. It was worth the money I paid for and the warranty is awesome 2 years. I hope it stand up with time. My hair is shinier using , the CHI was good but my hair feels softer with my sedu than with the CHI the CHi made it feel a little coarse feeling.

I have really frizzy hair. My hair is not straight and its not curly, nor is it wavy. . its simply Out there frizzy. I used to have a Chi flat iron. The differences if your wondering, between the 2 is that the Chi gives you super straight hair. . but its sort of crunchy and burnt and it had ZERO softness. & the Sedu iron gives you straight hair (not pinstraight) but its not crunchy! its super soft and it actually moves with you. I spent about 2 weeks on this site, looking through reviews and ratings. I decided on the Sedu Revolution & i am more than happy with my choice. Thank you Sedu! I finally LOVE my hair.

I purchased this flat iron along with my Solia Limited Edition Pink Flat Iron. This iron works great. I love the way it easily glides through my (Af. Am.) hair leaving it very straight yet, full of body. It has a range of temperatures and heats up very quickly. I just love it and the DVD is very beneficial. Get this flat iron.

At first I thought this iron was too much money, but I decided to buy it anyway. I have very curly, frizzy hair and thin hair also. I was looking for a flat iron that will not drag and be very smooth going thru my hair. My hairdress just bought her iron and I hate it because of the pulling (not smooth at all) different iron. THIS ONE IS EVERYTHING THAT I WAS EXPECTING. THIS IS THE BEST IRON I HAVE USED. BUY IT, IT'S WORTH THE MONEY FOR A GREAT IRON.
My hair is so smooth and very soft. I do use Chi Silk Infusion (another great product).

I like this iron a lot. I've tried many drugstore irons, the chi, and a ghd. I must say though, this iron got my hair straight on 260 degrees with one pass AND I have thick 4A/4B hair. Great for African American hair, coarse hair types and it leaves your hair feeling smooth and doesn't strip/dry out the hair. I'd definitely recommend this iron.
