what's the record air speed for this model? does it dry hair just as fast as the 4000i model (80mph air speed)? thanks!

The speed is around 70 mph. If you have a LOT of hair (long and very thick hair), or if you are a stylist, we recommend 4000i. Otherwise this model will suffice.

AFRICAN AMERICAN HAIR
Has anyone used this on thick African American hair or does anyone know if this dryer will work on natural AA hair? If so cna you let me know how it stands up to it. I have natural AA hair and would love to go green with my dryer but also need to know that it will actually work. Any input would be most appreciated :-).
