I think the following feaures are unique to Sedu Revolution: 1. Ultrasmooth ceramic tourmaline plates - ensuring sleek, smooth result. 2. Freestyle Guiding System - capturing all the hairs within the plates, preventing them from slipping outside the plates.

Still as good?
Does this one also have these features that the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1½") have? I’m really interested in this one because you can also curl your hair with it but I want to know if the quality is also the same with the other one.

Sedu revolution retains all the great features of the Sedu original irons. Its desgin emphasizes the versatiities: straightening, curling, waving and crimping.

What's the difference?
I'm reading the information on the Sedu flat iron 1 1/2inch and the sedu revolution...but I can't figure out what the difference is. Is one better than the other? I have very dry chemically damaged curly hair that I always straighten and lately it's getting really straw like. Which sedu is better for me?

The difference is that this one has rounded edges. It's *better* for the times you want curls because it doesn't leave that dented line that the other Sedu does. So you have the option of doing straight, wavy and curly styles. I find this one easier to handle as it's not hot to the touch. Also, if your hair is not longer than below your shoulders the 1" is better (imo). My hair was near my shoulder blades but I found the 1.5" was cumbersome. I cut my hair to a chin length bob and I'm glad I have the 1" Nano. Hope this helps.

How does this product compare to the CHI
Im looking for a good straightner..Im not really wanting to spend a whole lot of money, but if its worth it..then I would do so..I currently use my sisters' CHI,and sometimes i like and other times.I just dont achieve the look Im wanting..

I own both. Sedu glides thru my hair much better than Chi. i found less frizz, no split ends. Sedu has 2 yr warranty (vs. Chi 1 yr). I preferred Sedu.

Curling & Anti-frizz products
I'd like to use this for smoothing out frizz and curling my hair. My curls tend to fall flat within 30 minutes but I dislike the curling sprays that make your hair stiff and crunchy, not to mention flakey build-up. Do you use any products on your dried hair prior to styling with this iron or is that a no-no?

Usually, it is a bad idea to put a product on your dry hair before straightening or curling; you can damaged the plates and get lots of product buildup on them, and it does nothing for the texture of your hair. I don't curl my hair, so I can't give specific advice for that, but there are some great flexible hold sprays for after you style that leave your hair soft.

Actually I think it is normal, because at first I thought mine was tore up. So, my mom called folicia and asked if it was normal, or if we should return it. The lady told us that it was very noraml it was just something about how fast it heated or something to that affect. Anyways we found out from folica that it is normal.

I would get the revolution pro 2008 model. It is not hot to the touch and is also guaranteed 2 years. Also, it curls as well as straightens due to the curved plates. i like it a lot.
