I purchased the Sedu flatiron to use on a trip to Paris. In the States I use a Chi and took a chance that the Sedu would work as well after reading the reviews. The Sedu worked wonderfully and I will consider buying the 110Volt version when my Chi needs to be replaced. Also, I would recommend the 1 1/2" width for long hair, it was very quick to use, much faster than a 1".

great straightner. I got this to use when I was in Scandinavia because I have a Chi at home in the states that won't work with a converter in Europe. I liked it almost better than the Chi. Don't get it if you don't want your hair to be completely straight though. It is flat as a board when you use it. Enjoy!

On my hairdresser's advice, I elected to purchase a 220V SEDU straightener for my trip to Europe instead of a converter for my North American CHI. He told me that there would be some loss of strength in the appliance once concerted, and that due to the high temperatures, I risked blowing the element.
His advice couldn't have been better, and the straightener was even BETTER than my CHI. Made haircare during my trip to Paris and Sicily a breeze.
Works for me!

I am an international flight attendant and I have had a hard time with finding decent converter sets for my travel appliances, so I decided to bite the bullet and just buy the European versions. Actually it is the smarter thing to do anyway. I have really weird hair that is hard to control and my flat iron was a godsend. Now, I have the Sedu to use on my foreign trips and I LOVE it! It works as well, if not better, than my CHI that I use at home! It heats up quickly and evenly and stays HOT, and I don't abuse mt hair as much with it as I spend less time using it. Very happy, very satisfied.

one of the attractive feature of this iron is ,light weight. As they say it smoothes hair without pulling or breaking but slowly and smoothly in small sections of hair gives the best result.

I bought one hair iron by myself and it is perfect. When my friends from back home saw my pictures they were astonish, that is way I bought two more for Europe.

I made a surprise to my girlfriend buying her the sedu, after hers was stolen. she bought hers in New-York, and thought nothing would compare to what she had, but Sedu did the Job. Much better then what she had she sais, and does the job quicker... I don't know much about it, since i'm a guy, but the look on her face (and her looks) say it all...

I have been living in China for a year without a real hair straightener; mind you I bought one year that is off the shelf from a drug store so the performance was awful. This has an on/off switch, a dial to control the level of heat and a nice wide plate as I have long hair (1 1/2). I have never used a Sedu before but highly recommend it along with ordering from Folica.

I bought this flat iron because I live in Germany. I thought it was a little expensive but now I know why. It does really work compared to other brands. Whenever I travel Europe, I take this flat iron with me. When I go back to states, I will definitely buy the 110v.

I ordered the Sedu because I'm working in Iraq and I needed a straightener with 220 voltage. I was so happy with it, that I ordered two more for my daughters. They love it too.

I received my product very quickly and Folica was great to work with however, I was under the impression that my iron would work in Italy with the plug it had on it. There was a different plug on the iron, I believe for Germany and I still had to use an adapter. I was disappointed in this fact but the iron still worked once I got the appropriate accessory.

I absolutely love my Sedu flat iron. It heats fast and makes it a lot easier to straighten. Finally a straightner that actually keeps my hair straight.It Leaves my hair Silky, shiny and healthy. ONCE YOU GO SEDU - NOTHING ELSE WILL DO..

I ordered this flatiron for use in Europe and found it adequate but nowhere near the straightening ability of my Bion. The plates are smaller and the highest heat setting is much cooler - but these are not the only reasons. I am unsure why the performance is not as good. This flatiron does make a nice flip to the ends of the hair easily but takes many more passes to straighten. It heats very quickly. I can only recommend it for hair that is not too difficult.

I decided I cannot be w/ out my Sedu straightener when I move to Germany next month and ordered the Euro model. I tried this Summer to use my US one w/ a voltage converter, but blew the safety each time... I thought about getting a dual voltage iron, but I love my Sedu and don't trust any other brand! It's expensive, but worth it!
Works just as good as a CHI.

I have just moved to Italy from the US. I used a CHI in the states and found that it didn't work once I got here. I was SO unhappy and never thought that I would find anything that would replace it considering they did not make a Europe model of it. I came upon this straightener and thought that I would give it a shot. Tonight was the first time that I used it and I LOVE IT. Works just as good. The CHI would heat up to 300+ degrees while the Sedu only heats up to 200 but works wonderful. I have long thick hair and this is a wonderful device. BUY IT.

i've just got my order today, though disappointed cuz' i had ordered 2 flat iron from different brand, they just shipped me one which is the "sedu." i thought i would do a comparison of which one works better or about the same...anyway, i've tried it, the results was surprisingly to me and it heated up only a few seconds not minutes...i wasn't thrilled about the way it looked, sinced it was "professionally" used by a professional, it didn't looked like it at all and to think, they said celebrities like jennifer aniston used it...hmm? i also liked the fact that it's very light weight, but i didn't like the tip being hot cuz' you're unable to get a grip of it, sinced i spent over a $100, i was hoping for a way better product, it looks generic and hope it doesn't died out on me after months of using it...

I bought this straightener for my daughter. She loves how quickly it works, and how well it works. However, since May we have had to replace it 2 times. The switch keeps going out on it. It cost quite a bit of money, to have it work for such a short time.

I needed something for europe and fast.this was it perfect hair all the time and i didnt have to worry about ,elting another straightner like i did the year before. if u like to straighten ur hair or u have to and ur gonna be in europe i def recommend this straightner

I bought this product for my vacation to Europe since last year my American products didn't work with my converter and adapter. This flat iron is great...works just as good, if not better than my Chi flat iron since it has a temperature dial. I highly recommend it.
