I almost talked myself out of buying this thing. I was convinced it was too expensive and not as good. I thought I was a rare case. My hair is INCREDIBLY frizzy, curly and thick. The before picture doesn't even do me justice really. It is absolutely horrible. My former flat iron (crappy Revlon) was pretty much useless. My hair took almost an hour an a half to do and frizzed up after an hour and started to curl back up! I HATED it. Today, I decided I would take the leap and buy a Sedu. I didn't buy my iron off of folica.com (wish I did, I need that free mat!) because I didn't want to wait for the shipping. I wanted it now! I went to Ulta today and purchased it. WOW. It took me about 45 minutes to do my entire head (on about 350 degrees), because it's long and really thick, but the results were mindblowing. There is NO frizz whatsoever in my hair. My hair is so smooth and silky. My dad, who never even notices my hair, got mad at me because he thought I "wasted money to get my hair done" at the salon. He was shocked when I told him I did it myself. I never told him how much I paid for the iron :P But still, point is, I honestly don't know how I lived without this thing. All my friends did tonight was tell me how good my hair looked. I'd urge you to buy this iron and to buy it from Folica. Free shipping, free heat mat/pouch and free 1 year extended warrantee. I wish I would have had the patience! Don't buy any other iron. The Sedu won't leave you disappointed.

i have been straightening my curly/wavy/EXTREMLEY thick italian hair since about 7 th grade, im now 16 and have been through some pretty bad straighteners. I would always have to blow dry my hair before and it was such a hassle and it got frizzy real quick. I LOVE SEDU! my hair was pinstraight after only 5 min! this product is soo worth the price.

this product is soooo amazing
I've had my sedu for 3 months now, no problems yet, my hair isn't burnt at all!
i have really curly hair and it tackles in in no time at all ( about 10- 15 minutes ) and my hair is not that thin!
it doesn't pull at my hair or tear it at all
my hair looks and feels healthier then it have EVER been before
i always get compliments on my hair
this sedu is well worth the money!!!
i was debating on weather to get the sedu or chi turbo
but when i saw the awful reports on chi, i decided to get the sedu
this is the best thing that has ever happened to me hair!
i live in an area where winters are harsh, but no match against my sedu - done hair! LOL
my hair stays PERFECT all day long :)
i have so much more time in the morning because of the sedu now. I have never used ANY flat iron that works this good

This straightener works excellently! I swear, I thought all straighteners were pretty much the same, but this one works by far the best. It's not cheap, but it's so worth it.

I was very excited when I finally received my Sedu flat iron! I could not wait to try it!! I jumped in the shower and washed my hair, put leave in conditioner in it along with some of the sample of biosilk that comes with it. Then I blow-dried my hair and used the Sedu flat and the final results were incredible!! My hair has never looked SO straight and silky! I am Puerto Rican and my hair is naturally very curly and when I straighten it the results don't last long but this lasted 4 whole days and I could have gone longer but my hair was getting greasy but it still looked straight! I highly recomend this amazing flat iron! The only negative thing I could say is that it doesn't curl or flip the hair very well because of the swuared edges it leaves dents but if you want to curl then the new Sedu Revolution because it seems to have the rounder edges!

I have used the Chi and the Solia and the Sedu is MUCH better than both of them! I am now able to straighten my thick curly hair whenever I want to because it's so much faster! Sedu is the best straightner!!!

i have owned a chi (the origional one) for years. i have very curly italian hair and own a chi blowdryer also. my hair needs those expensive products. over the years i have had to replace my chi 6 times... and my blowdryer twice (it casue my hair on fire) however i still kept buying them. i swear by the blowdryer still but i bought the sedu 1 inch for myself for xmas after my 6th chi was shorting out and was kinda scared but im so happy. I LOVE IT! i thought, grass is never greener on the other side but im happy i tried it out the sedu. i though i had nothing too loose but time. if the sedu didnt work i would return it and get the chi but it did and im so happy
differences: sedu doesnt pull ur hair and when ur done using it it makes ur hair feel silky smooth. like the chi, it does keep ur hair straight for days.
GIVE IT A CHANCE...it is worth it!

I'll try not to bore you with a long, drawn out review (although I'd like to) of this product. The Sedu is incredible. I won't lie and say it's a miracle to my hair but I am very glad I purchased it. It makes my hair silky smooth, stick straight (it even stays straight after sleeping on it) and it does it very quickly. I glide (yes, glide) the flat iron over each section of hair 1-2 times max. and it's straight. It normally takes me almost an hour to do my hair with the Remington Wet2Straight but with the Sedu is only takes me about 20-25 minutes. It doesn't ever snag my hair either. Overall I think it is a great product and I would highly recommend it to anyone with thick, unruly hair. :)

Okay, i purchased one through folica about a week and a half ago. I was between this and the Solia. When i got my Sedu i was dissapointed it was so little and i was like what? Then i tryed it out. I had leave in conditioner and some shine serum in my hair. I let my hair air dry. My hair is wavy/curly and extremly thick. It frizzes really easy also. And when i usually straighten it it gets really dry. I hate those fly away things too. It's winter where i am. I straightened my hair. It was really soft and shiny and straight and looked good. It smelt normal and felt non damaged like usual. When i was straightening my hair though. I noticed it smells weird but my hair doesnt the Sedu does. Afterwards its normal. I gave it a four because i think it should have longer plates also. It's hard when you have a lot of hair to fit it in those short plates. But other than that i love it. (: niceee.

I purchased a chi on amazon in august, for 90 dollars. Therefor it did not come with a warranty. A little over 2 months later, the chi just stops working. I was disappointed, and was planning on purchasing a new one. I found this website, and saw that the sedu had much more reviews, and almost all of them were positive, so I decided to try it out. It came in the mail yesterday, and it is amazing. The plates are extremely smooth, and it does not pull your hair at all. Im the type of person that runs a flat iron through one strand about 50 times, i honestly only had to do it once and it was pin straight. My friend came over to check it out, and she has a chi. I used the sedu to touch up her hair and it looked so much better, and it gets your hair so smooth. It is way better than the chi, and fhi(thats what my stylist uses, i hate it.) It's worth every penny!

I've been using this AWESOME flat iron for about 1yr & a half, & i gotta say,the old swivel cord would always mess up. So finally my old one shorted out after not being able to keep it on(due to bad cord) so I bought a new one. It had a different cord, & i think it will be able to last better that way. Well the iron(with a livesaver of a heat pouch!) leaves my hair so straight, so shiny, so pretty & flat:D You can't really do curls, so Im planning on getting the 1", since this is a bit too chunky to create curls. Well this is way better than CHI I can say(well, the pink CHI anywasy...)as the sedu has NEVER pulled my hair, unlike the CHI! The chi pulls & breaks off TOO many hairs, so the Sedu is the best thing out here, & if you're thinking about getting in between a CHI & a Sedu, don't even bother getting the CHI, you will hate it as soon as you try the Sedu. I promise you that(as I've tried the pink CHI:D) that the Sedu will be the best flat iron you've ever used(also the CHI gives lots of dry, split ends!). And remember, sedu has temp. control! Don't you want super-soft, straight, healthy, SHINY hair?

I just got my Sedu in the mail today (I ordered it on Monday night, and it got here Friday morning) and could not wait to try it out. I was so excited from all the reviews I read.
This flat iron works!!! I have naturally curly hair and I've always wanted to be able to style my hair straight. I have bought plenty of flat irons for $20 from the drug store. Those don't even come close to this!! With those flat irons, I would have to go over the same section of hair at least 20 times before it got close to looking straight. With the Sedu, 3 to 5 times is all it took. I had all my hair straightened in less than 15 minutes. That is the least amount of time it has ever taken me to straighten my hair. And my hair feels so soft and not dried out.
Don't hesitate to purchase this product. You won't regret it at all.

I must say this is one of the BEST things i ever bought! I would recommend to anyone how wants straight hair, i was scared at first but after reading reviews it really helped me pick this one!
its last till i wash it out! i wash my hair everyother day just to help prevent damage. good luck you'll love it i promise!

I really don't have too much to say about this iron other than it far surpasses any others that I have ever tried. One word I would use to describe it is "simple." It's a simple, extremely lightweight design, it has simple controls and instructions, and most importantly, it makes it incredibly simple to straighten my hair.
I used to use an iron that cost around $80. It worked fine on my thick, wavy, highlighted hair, but I finally decided to invest in a Sedu. I didn't expect to see that much of a difference, so I was blown away by the results when I tried it for the first time. First of all, my hair looked SO much better than when I had straightened it with my other iron - healthier, shinier, and more natural. It also took about 30 minutes of use to get my hair perfect, as opposed to the hour or more with my old iron, which, even then, didn't get my hair looking nearly as good.
It has worked perfectly for 3 months, and if it ever breaks, I would not hesitate to buy a new one. I would recommend investing in a Sedu to everyone who straightens their hair.

This is such a great product. At first, I was turned off by the price, but I definitely got what I paid for. It made my hair straight and silky in seven minutes tops. One think I would suggest: use a heat protectant, because the Sedu, like all irons, will damage your hair if you don't take good care if it. Although the picture doesn't show it well enough(teehee), my hair is as straight as a pin.

I really like this straightener, it worked way better than any that I've used before. My hair ir really curly and frizzy and the Sedu made it really straight and eliminated the frizz.

well i didnt buy my sedu from folica i got mine from ulta they had it so i was happy it saved me the trouble of the whole internet bull lol but yea i got it and i was amazed on how light it was to the point i thought it was impossible for it to work they way they clamed it to work but it does it really does my hair is super straight and my hair doesnt curl up when i sleep with my hair straight over night so i was very pleased and it cut my time in half so yea glad i got it!! dont waist anytime get yours now!!!
