WOW!!!! I have been doing my homework and checking out all of the flat irons on the market, So I Pick Sedu 1 1/2 I waited anxiously so when I received it in 4 days I was excited. I took a before and after picture and I was very impressed. Let me just inform you that I am in a need of a relaxer I have naturally curly hair and lots of it which tends to frizz really fast in high humidity. I usually wash and set my hair and then make the (doobie) Some of you may know what this is esspecially the puerto ricans and Dominicans use it a lot and has pass on from generations to tame the hair It is very effective when I sleep. I just washed my hair and naturally air dried it and then I began the process. Iam new to this but it was not hard to manage I think I did a pretty good job for the first time and Iam sure I will become better as I go along the whole process took about 30 min to complete. The Iron felt really light and easy to handle considering it was my first try and I have lots of latina hair. The girls in my job were amazed at how straight and beautiful my hair turned out they also stated I even look much younger LOL!!! This product is fantastic I would buy another if I had to and won't think twice about the price. It's really worth the money. I have never flat ironed my hair and it really beats sitting under the hot hair dryer and then blow drying it straight. This Sedu "Esta Pasao" meaning off the hook!!! The Bomb! and my hair lasted all week even through a harricane we just had. no kidding just buy it you will not regret it.
so be beautiful, straight and shinny
Chicas bellas.

I purchased the Sedu 1 1/2 inch flat iron probably around a year and half ago and it is still working great. It is the best flat iron I have ever used. I have naturally curly hair and it gets my hair so straight. My friends loved the way my hair looked so much they alos purchased the Sedu. If my Sedu Flat Iron stops working I will purchase another one.
Also Folica.com is a great company to work with and they will help you with anything.

i'm in love with this flat iron. As you can see in the before picture my hair is frizzy and out of control. But the sedu really adds shine and works great while using the sedu heat protecting moisturizing boost. My hair feels like silk and i have actually become more popular in school..I have had sedu for 5 1/2 months and it is a "must have" I dont know what i would do without it.
i LOVE it, hair never gets caught

I am very satisfied with my iron. It is not magic, nothing is. It takes a while and I go over the same section a few times but my hair never gets caught or torn out like with the t3 and others, the sink is empty when I'm done. I still blow my hair dry fully, use the straight balms, oils, etc. but my hair is shiny and can be unwashed for 5-7 days once I straighten it, I am very happy with the sedu iron.

The price for this straightener was 115 when i bought it..it is totally worth it for people looking for a great straightener i cant think of how anything could work better so i would deffinately not pay 2 300 for one..i also bought the biosilk with this my hair is so so soft and even after being at work for a full day and sleeping my hair was completely flat no kinks or nothing and i have very thick wavy hair hard to do anything with but with the biosilk and straightening it..it makes it so much easier my hair looks gorgeous i got a complement on my hair the first day using both the products

When I was younger, I had an afro. Now, at 20, I still have the same hair, only it's grown out (thank gawd... oh, and my hair is wet in the first picture and brushed out. picture the curlyness at the bottom being like that over my whole head). Basically, I am of mixed race, black, a bit native, and whatever makes me white. My hair is fine, there's a lot of it, it is frizzy, and very curly and well, nappy. It will not stay straight without a lot of product and time, then it just gets weighed down, sometimes the salon straightens don't last for more then a few hours. It is dry, and always full of broken ends. After reading at least 30 pages of reviews on all the "best of folica" irons, I realized I couldn't keep using a conaire, I decided I wanted a Sedu, but I was scared. I'm pleased to announce that I was sooo wrong to wait more then 2 seconds to order this iron. My first time straightening my medium length mess took about 35 minutes and barely any product. Normally, it takes about 1.5 hours. I'd like to point out that my hair was air dried curly, and part of that time was due to my spinning around in the mirror and playing with the heat setting to see what works the best for me. Zero breakage, no heat up time. It's not salon perfect yet, it's more like the day after/slept on look... but I'm confident that the next time it'll be magic. It's so soft and swingy and the frizz is about 1/100th of how bad it normally is. Don't wait, buy it now. It's soooooo amazing. I'll fix the pics later <3

okay, so i have the most kinky curly hair ever!!!! i was so fed up of it so i decided to finally purchase a flat iron but i made sure to do a lot of research before i payed a lot of money on one.so i searched and i read all the comments on the sedu so i took the risk and bought it! and wow did i make the rite choice. yes it still takes me an hour to starighten it but its pretty much worth it. in the picture i straightened half my head, and my ends are very dead so don look at that, but besides that my hair looks awesome! it has looked better then in the pic cuz i did it fast but when i take my time and do it rite it lookes really good! definitly get it!
Just plain great!

I got the Sedu this past winter and it is absolutely everything I hoped it would be. It heats up in the time it takes me to brush my teeth [I set it at 360 degrees] and it cuts my straightening time down so much. I had elbow-length thick hair and spent upwards of an hour working on it with my old straightener. With the Sedu, it took no more than thirty minutes. Since getting the straightener, I cut ten inches off my hair, and the Sedu continues to work wonders. Now, with shoulder-length hair, straightening takes fifteen to twenty minutes. Amazing! My hair feels soft and silky, looks shiny and healthy, and stays straight all day. I no longer have to go over every section a million times - one or two passes does the trick. The Sedu is also great for accentuating layers, and flipping the ends of the hair in or out. I haven't met a hair day that the Sedu couldn't conquer. I strongly recommend this product to anyone with hiar like mine - thick, dry, frizzy, and unmanageable. The only problem with the Sedu was that it was a little damaging to my hair, causing some split ends. This can be offset with a good conditioner. However, the Sedu caused much LESS damage than my old straighteners - a Sally, and before that, a Conair - which pulled and broke my hair. The Sedu really works. It's changed my life!
Love it!

I did a lot of research before purchasing the Sedu flat iron. My hair gets wavy and frizzier when it gets longer. I hate it!
When I purchased my Sedu flat iron, it only took 30 seconds for it to get hot!! I was so impressed! It took me less than 15 mins to straighten my hair out.

I just recieved my Sedu Iron and I tried it on my hair for the first time today, and I LOVE IT!!!! The iron did not pull my hair, and it left my hair so silky and smooth. My hair looks so healthy and shiny its so amazing. I am really happy with my new sedu iron....I have really curly and frizzy hair and after I blow dry my hair, I use my sedu iron and my hair looks gorgeous and crazy straight. I really hope this iron doesn't break down on me and is long lasting. I recommend it to everyone! *_*

i've owned a few irons that get pretty hot, but this one is much better that those. i used to get sooo frustrated over how long it would take and i would have to go over the same section of hair over and over again! with the sedu, it still takes long (due to the sheer quantity of my hair) but it works so great and i don't get frustrated anymore. hair comes out nice and straight and not frizzy or puffy!! i love it :)
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

I got my Sedu 1 1/2" through Folica last winter, and I have to say it is incredible. I've struggled with frizzy hair my whole life, and to add to the mix, its in between wavy and curly. My hair is also VERY thick, so I've always been skeptical buying straightening irons, especially after dealing with so many Conair ones that rip my hair out of my scalp and whose effects don't last. I chose the Sedu even though I was skeptical that the heat wouldn't be hot enough (compared to the Solia, that goes up to 450) but boy was I wrong! My hair is so sleek and smooth, and it lasts too, which is awesome considering I live in Canada and have to deal with harsh winters and sticky/humid summers.
I would recommend this to ANYONE! Cheers everyone & good luck on your search! I hope you consider giving the Sedu a try, it really is worth every penny.

I went natural a year ago and I usually keep a full sewn in weave but wanted to wear my hair for a change so i bought the Sedu. After washing and letting it air dry i applied Fantasia Pressing Cream (It's a heat protectant)and then got to work. The Sedu gave my hair a nice bounce and a beautiful shine but I added some Organic Root Stimulator Anti-Frizz Glossing Polisher just so the hair wouldn't revert as fast. For me it worked best if i finger combed my hair instead of using a wide tooth comb. You can see from the pictures the difference Sedu made on my hair!

I would never straighten my hair because, between the 1.5 hours to blow it out straight only to have it frizz up within minutes, it wasn't worth the effort. I read the reviews on here and just went out to by one. I've been back from the store for less than 1 hour and I have straight hair!!! It took me about 30 minutes which, for a novice, I didn't think was that bad. I'm sure I'll get even faster the more practice I get. Now I just need to see how long it will last... and it's starting to look like rain here so it will really be put to the test!
If you are thinking about buying a flat iron and are hesitating because of the price, don't! It is totally worth the price!!!

I loveeee this straightener! I just got this for my 14th birthday and I was originally looking for the CHI because everyone I know has it and their hair is amazing! So I was reading the reviews for the CHI and whenever it said it was broke easily I felt so sad. I wanted a good, reliable straightener! But then I kept seeing "Sedu" pop up everywhere so I decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did my research and got this one! As soon as I got it in the mail I noticed how light it was, light enough that I couldn't believe it would do any good. Let's just say I have never been so glad to have been wrong. It cut my straightening time in half! Literally! it glided over my hair effortlessly and it would be almost completely straight after 2 strokes! As you can see in the pictures(sorry I couldn't upload better ones but my good pics are over the maximum picture size), my hair isn't THAT curly (like some of the other people you will see on this site) but it is annoyingly unmanageable and frizzy. My old straightener was a remington wet-to-straight(25 dollars at walmart) and it honestly wasn't that bad, but it took me 45 minutes to an hour and with me Sedu it takes about 25! But it also caused serious breakage and it caused my hair to become periodically dry(the remington). Sedu makes it soft and silky! Don't believe those random articles on the web that tell you people are payed to write these reviews! Their NOT, TRUST me. I love the Sedu and you will toooooo! Don't hesitate like I did!

i probably have the most frizziest, curliest, and poofiest hair in the world -_- my hair is hard to manage, ive chemically straightened it more than 7 times. so imagine how damaged and unhealthy my hair would be :| every hair salon that i go to, my hairstylist would always say "your hair is really curly" and they would say other stuff and it would just be such a big embarassment each time i came in and got a hair cut ): not until i got my sedu tho :D i gotta admitt tho if you dont take care of your hair well and deep condition it every now and then, you would get crazy split ends and your hair would loook dry and dull. so either get frequent haircuts or just use a deep conditioner in order to maintain your hair and your hair will do just fine with the sedu if you use it for teh rest of your life :D nonethelessss, i looove my sedu! since the first time i got it which was 3 years ago, it still works great! no glitches or anything! many people on this site say their sedu breaks eaasily or doesnt last long, but i think it really depends on how well you take care of it (: if you take care of itt really well, im pretty sure it could last you for 9 million years :D hahah but yeah i totally recoommend this product to ANYONNE with uber curly, unmanageable and frizzy hair. it works wonders and you WONT regret your purchase! i just hope that my sedu doesnt break anytime soon tho! ah i dont know what id do without it .. (:
