I have wavy and frizzy blonde hair so I tried the sedu because it works great on my friend's hair. I couldn't get my hair to de-frizz so when I asked my stylist to try it herself she told me that it does not close the cuticle of the hair. My hair reacts bad with humidity and so I tried the Paul Mitchell ceramic flat iron and it's AMAZING!!! My hair looks like gold silk instead of yellow cotton balls

I had severely damaged my hair from a cheaper hair straightner and a friend had recommended the Sedu.My hair is naturally thin and wavy which makes it hard not to burn. This straightner has various tempatures which makes it great for all hair types. It has made a huge diffrence in my hair. It is light and comes with a great pouch which works out well when traveling.

i have EXTREMELY curly hair. i delt with years of frizzy thick hair that i tied back in a pony tail almost everyday. i absolutely hated my hair and i always felt so insecure about my looks for the longest time. everytime i went to get my hair cut EVERY stylist said they had never seen so much hair in their life. after using several different straigheners for hours to get results that weren't worth it, i decided to give the sedu a shot. i had to get my hair professionally relaxed before it could actually work well, but my hair is still really thick and curly and although it take a good hour and a half to straighten my hair it looks great. i love the product and i am much happier with my appearance- i feel like a different person. i would recommend this straightner to ANYONE, just don't be afraid to get your hair relaxed if you have really really frizzy,thick hair like me.

I love this straightener! I only wish I had bought it sooner! I have extremely thick, curly, frizzy hair and it's the first time in my life I can go out in the humidity with confidence, knowing that my hair looks good. I'm so happy to have found this product!

I have naturally curly hair and my mom's is thick and coarse. This bad boy gets both of our hair so straight and not even the intense humidity in Georgia can ruin the style. It's lightweight and works beautifully!

My hair is THICK, fluffy, wavy (but not a nice wave) FRIZZY, poofy, dry and course,(a wonderful combination).I was straightening my hair with a flat iron that I had bought at a drugstore (that cost me like $60). The thing NEVER stayed hot, one swipe of the hair and it would loose it's heat and I would have to wait 3-5 mins. for it to hit it's maximum heat again, that in combination with my hair type it was taking me forever!! (My hair was taking me about 1-2 hours to do daily). My hair would straighten (not shiny straight, but the dull lack lustre straight almost straw like) but would only stay that way for about 10-15 mins. before it would start to protest and start frizzing and fluffing up again. I was getting beyond annoyed. THEN, I had gone to my hair dressers a few months back and after getting my hair cut she straightened my hair for me using one of the salon brand irons (It was a CHI) and my hair looked GORGEOUS. For me GORGEOUS and Hair have NEVER fit into the same sentance. My hair was so shiny, smooth and BEAUTIFUL, I couldn't beleive it. I went online and was about to purchase one, but thought I would first check out the reviews, and must say I was very downheartened when I started reading several that stated that their iron's had broken on them after only a short time of use. I then read reviews on other irons and stumbled across the SEDU Iron (which 90% of the reviewers raved about). After thinking about it (wondering if I was willing to part with the $$) I finally broke down, and ordered one (I ordered from Folica.com). When I got it (within 2 days after ordering) I was so nervous because being the sceptic that I am, I was thinking it would probably be no different then my horrible drugstore product. After trying it my hair came out EXACTLY how I had hoped. It was SO SOFT and SHINY and sleek and healthy, my hair (if I do say so myself) looks AMAZING, EXACTLY how it had when I came from my hairdressers. It's not frizzy AT all, it is SO straight, AND it took me literally 7-8 mins. to do my whole head. Even the humidity doesn't seem to make it poof up, and it has been a very humid summer. It's the miracle straigtener!!
I finish my hair off by using BIOSILK therepy, and AMAZING again. I can't wait to wake up and do it all again tomorrow!! DEFINATELY worth the splurge.

It is the best iron I have ever used. My hair is curly and frizzy and it is really very hard to take under control. But with my new iron I can have may hair all straight in 25 min. I am really happy with my choice.

This is by far the best hair straightener I have ever used. It heats up within seconds, unlike the cheap flat irons that take minutes. And this flat iron stays hot!, while you have to wait in between sections for the cheaper flat irons to become hot again. Also, it makes your hair sooo smooth and soft and shinny!! Best of all, you hair remains this way throughout the day. When I use the cheap flat irons, within hours my hair is back to being frizzy and wavy. This hair straightener is expensive, but it's deffinately worth the money. Oh, and it was shipped to me the next day for free! I deffinately reccommend this hair straightener to all women!!

This is my first straightener and I am completely satisfied. I live in one of the most humid cities in the USA and have naturally curly hair and it's been able to get it straight as a board and hold up pretty good (with use of straightening products). I've gotten it straightened at salons before and I've gotten the same results with this iron. I don't even have it at the hottest setting and I have long Latina hair.

I've used almost every ceramic iron out there, and this is by far the best I've found. It actually makes my hair look like it's straight and smooth natrually instead of curly and frizzy natrually and I just tried to straghten it. I'd reccomend it to anyone with curly/frizzy/thick hair.

This is well worth the money! Even in humidity prone Florida, this straightener helps me keep my fly-aways and frizzies under control and sleek-looking. I have tried many straighteners over the last 10 years, and this is the only one that is quick and easy to use, and doesn't fry my hair. I HIGHLY recommend.

I have no idea why this one works. I have others in tourmaline, etc, that were pricey, but this one is fab. Save your money and buy this one first. Great for Frizzy, curly or hard to manage hair.

It is flat iron just like other expensive ones. But this one needs to have dome shape in front. I bought one and then I had to return since I could not go to roots of my hair since it straight in at the tip. I was very hard to make my hair curl inside at the bottom of my hair. I would have been big help, if it was domed shape at the tip of Flat iron. I bought same kind but different company that has dome shape and it works great.
