This is the best hot iron I have ever used. My hair is so shiny and silky afterwards. Co-workers keep asking me what I have had done to my hair, and I just tell them that it is the flat iron I use. It is unbelievable!

The Sedu is awesome- just like all the research you've done tells you. Definitely use a balm or something with it but regardless, it is so SMOOTH and QUICK. I just wish they'd make smaller plates than 1.5" as I think it'd be easier to curl/flip with.. But I took my Sedu with me to my last haircut and my awesome stylist who uses CHI and Infrashine liked the Sedu much better. She did half my head with the Infrashine and half with the Sedu and the difference was obvious - the Sedu side was much SMOOTHER.

I have had my Sedu Hair Straightener just over a month and it works great. I have very thick and full hair and I can straighten my hair in five minutes. The product is easy to use and heats up in less than a minute. I was sent a complimentary pouch also which keeps the hair straightener safe when not in use. I would highly recommend the Sedu Hair Straightener to anyone.

Both of my girls have very curly hair and this flat iron is light weight and easy to use. It straightens quickly and holds the style all day. It is a terrific iron!

I've had to straighten my hair everyday since..the 7th grade when my hair took a horrible turn and became poofy, frizzy,wavy and just hideous unless i straightened it. Anyway, I was using conair and stuff for a while..didnt work. Bought a Chi which worked great until it died about a year later. Bought a Hot Tools which was horrible..and finally got the Sedu. The first week of using the Sedu my hair was unbelievably soft. It still works great.Better than any straightener that I've used I just have yet to find one that keeps my hair straight all the time no matter what the weather! i'll keep searching though!

Before I decided on which straightening iron to buy, I read all of the reviews and checked out all of the pics. Every single before/after pic using the Sedu straightener was phenomenal. However, I was still a bit reluctant to spend that much money. Knowing I could always return it, I decided to take a shot. I'm SO glad I did! What a fab product! Gets my hair super straight (my hair's naturally very wavy), defines my layers (even flips them out a bit for that choppy look), and tames my insane cowlicks. It also seems to improve the condition of my hair-it definitely feels much softer, and has a great sleek shine. I just put in a little leave-in conditioner on the ends, and use a heat-protective straightening spray, and I'm good to go. I highly reccomend this product. It was money well spent.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas 2005....we were both very happy with this product...HOWEVER...after only six months of use...it quit working....No way to fix it.

I have thick wavy hair that always seem to get fuzzy. This iron made my hair much smoother and thinner (so it didn't look like a wig) than when I blew my hair out. I couldn't ever figure out how to get the right curl at the ends. One negative is that I have had this for 14 months and now it doesn't work! Of course after the warranty expired. I would like to send it out for repair but am not sure where I could go or who I could send it to. I've been spoiled and now have to have the more expensive irons. You definitely get what you pay for! This was much better than the store brands I've used.

I have owned several hair straighteners since I have 2 teenage daughters. I prefer to buy good quality to prevent hair damage and get the newest technology. After seeing that the Sedu straightener was a top seller, and had the ionic ceramic technology, I thought I couldn't go wrong. I was disapointed with what I received. The Sedu has plastic over the ceramic which heats straight through to your hand and whatever surface it is placed on. It is not close to the quality of any of the other straighteners I have owned including the Chi. It did not even perform well as a straightener.

My sister and I both got Sedus in December. By August (only 8 months later), both of them were broken at the handle. Neither of us was very abusive to the straightener at all so we were very disappointed with how fragile they were. Other than the fact that they aren't sturdy, it is a great straightener and I loved mine.

seriously i dont know what to say to make you all believe this if you dont already but if your gona buy a straightener BUY THIS ONE. a lot of my friends have the chi or the corioliss and there always like "my hair straighteners so much better than urs wtf is a sedu" and then they try it and it works 10 times better than theirs does. this straightener is so good that i cant stand to even use other straighteners anymore because now i only want to settle for perfectly straight hair which only the sedu seems to give me. YOU WILL NOT REGRET BUYING THIS

I was originally torn on whether or not to spend this much on a straightener, I had a cheap one from Target that was doing an alright job. But after using it the first time I was positive it was worth it. I read a bunch of reviews first and they are true, it seriously takes half the time it used to. I have really long really curly hair, and I have a lot of it. So I would usually take about an hour to straighten it. Now I spend 1/2 an hour, it gets so much straighter and my hair is a lot silkier; it doesn't have that starched feeling, where your hair gets really dry. I've used it about 5 times now and it's working great. It gets hotter than other ones, and the surfaces of the plates are a lot smoother. Definitely recommend it, worth every penny.

I recently bought the Sedu flat iron and have never been so delighted with a beauty product purchase. My hairdresser has been using this iron on my hair with excellent results, so I decided to buy one and experiment with it. My hair is naturally curly and frizzy, and living in NY in the summer translates into very bad hair days. I blow out my hair and then use the iron which is especially effective for bangs, sides and the top of my head. It is easy to use and increases the fullness in areas that require it. What I like the best about using this iron is that my hair not only comes out straight but also silky with a lot of shine.

hi my name is karolina.. my mom ordered the straightner about 4 days ago.. i read alottttttttttttt of the reviews before she finnally bought the straightner well let me tell you.. it is AMAZING.. my hair is a big frizz ball.. i dye my hair alot soo my hair is VERY damaged when i straighten my hair.. it seems too really to be live.. my hair is soft and silky it is the best.. i love it i deffenitly recoomend it for people with the same situation as mine :)
