The only complaint I have about the Sedu iron was that it took about a week and a half to arrive in the mail. Being that it's somewhat pricy, I was reluctant to spend so much money on an iron that I didn't know if it worked well or not. I did a ton of research on flat irons and time and again Sedu was rated the best. My hair is really dry, course, thick and wavy you can safely say that it is unruly. After doing my homework on different irons and reading tons of reviews I decided to give the Sedu a try and I haven't been disappointed! The Sedu iron leaves your hair completely straight no like other irons that leave little waves and kinks in the hard to reach places at the back of your head. I hated that! It is very lightweight yet that doesn't take from it's power. This iron doesn't seem to leave my hair dry and it gets it stick straight as you can see below. I recommend anyone looking to buy an iron to spend a little extra bucks because it's definitely worth it!

I just received my Sedu. I love it. I have never had my hair so straight in my life. I love it, I never thought my heart would get straight with this iron because I have tried so many, but boy was I wrong! My hair feels so freaking silky I can't stop touching it. I am in love with my hair again. No frizzes, or stiffness, its all silky baby!!!!

Ok so I was really in need of a new straightener. I have a Paul Brown one which is actually really good, but I needed one to bring to my dad's house and just anywhere i needed because it's my moms straightener. It was also way more expensive, and my hair tends to poof out as the day goes o which i HATE. So I'm in my marketing class and the product I had to research was Flat Irons. Well almost every site I came across ranted and raved about the Sedu. After looking at it every time I went online for about 4 days reading like 2 million good reviews, I finally decided to order it. So I just got it today after only 3 business days! I was so excited so I washed my hair, put some Bumble&Bumble Grooming Creme and Bed Head Control Freak Serum on it and blow dried it. When it was dry I plugged in my Sedu!!! Although it really didn't take any less time to straighten my hair, it did a WAY better job. My hair looks thinner which is what i want since its very thick and curly and frizz-o-licious, its shiny, and it also feels smooth. Now i just finished straightening it so I'm not sure if it will last all day without poofing but I think it will. The one thing i dont like is that my bangs and the top of my hair is staticky, but I can fix that with my other straightener. Its not really a big deal thought, just play with it a little you know to calm the static. I put an ice cube on it. It helped a little bit. Now I'm going to bed.. I'll add another review in about a week to see if it last throughout the day.

In desperate need of a good straightener, I chose the SEDU based only on reviews that I read here on the website. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT !!! I am caucasian and change my hair color about 6 -7 times a year. So I kill my hair every day. However, I have been straightening my hair for a week now with the SEDU Iron and could NOT be more pleased ! It really stays nice all day and even in evenings when going out. It is healthy and soft looking and I have gotten a ton of compliments. I was hesitant about the price at first, but it most certainly has outdone any $20.00 one I have bought in the past. I can honestly tell you that the positive feedback these people are saying about it --is true. You will not be disappointed ! It's lightweight, has a very long cord and is so easy to use ! My hair looks exactly like Shania Twain's hair and though long, still only takes about 15 minutes to prepare in the morning ! Kudos to Sedu -- an absolutely fantastic product ! THANK YOU !! PS. I ordered it on a Friday and got it Monday - no hassles !

i bought both the sedu and the solia. the sedu did cut my strighting time in half and left my hair really strait. i loved it. i couldnt believe how fast it went.the solia left my hair even more strait and a lot more smooth but it took just as much time to straiten my hair like my old cheap straitener. i have really thick ethnic hair that takes forever to straiten so im keeping the sedu because it gets my hair straiter faster and im giving the solia to my younger sister for her birthday. but of if your looking for smoother hair and dont care about the time it takes to straiten it i would go with the solia.

I just received my Sedu and I LOVE it. My hair is very wavy and impossible to keep straight in humid weather. I left my hair wavy/curly yesterday (very humid yesterday; Lowell, MA) and today I did not wash it and just pulled it back (I have shoulder length hair). Once I got the Sedu out of the packaging, I plugged it in to see how it would work....simply amazing! I can't wait to try it out tomorrow with clean hair. Definitely worth the money!

The Sedu Ionic Straightner is a great product. I have very thick curly hair so as you can imagine it takes alot to straighten my hair and try to keep it that way. Before I had always used the Chi for my hair except they would never last very long and always break. Now with the Sedu my hair takes less time to straighten and looks and feels healthier then it has before. Also I live in a city with very humid weather but I don't have to worry about my hair getting frizzy at all. It is a liitle pricier then I was used to in the past but it is definitely worth it.

I got the sedu 6 months ago. It worked fine in the beginning. Then one of the plate started sliding off. and it started to snag on my ahir. it was HORRIBLE. I bought the sudu because of the review, but it sucked. my friend got a solia and it's GREAT. I'm gonna get the solia for christmas.

Am very happy with this purchase. Not having used a straightener before ( at age 55!) there was a learning curve involved. The good news is that whilst I used to touch up daily between washes with a very hot blow dryer when I only used a blow dryer, I find that I don't need to do that any longer. So, although you are using intense heat with the Sedu, you are using it less frequently than if you were to use your blow dryer daily. Remarkable results.

Worked wonderfully but broke after a little over one year of use. And not very frequent use - more like 2-3 times a month for 12 months.
The covering on teh power cord near the iron handles cracked and the wires were exposed.
Also, the iron now shorts out all the time. I lost the electircity in a hotel room twice now because of the flat iron on two past trips.

This thing works GREAT! Got lots of compliments from my co-workers, after which I mentioned I had purchased this flat iron. They asked how long it took to straighten my hair and I said about 10-15 min. My co-worker said she has one too, but her arms get tired and it takes her "forever" to straighten hers. I mentioned that my Sedu was over $100, but worth it. My co-worker said "Well mine was only $25"...after which I jokingly pointed out that I straighten my hair in 10 min. and it takes her forever! She laughed and said "yeah, that's true!" This iron is light, heats up FAST, and works WELL. Love the adjustable temperature...the fabric case is nice too, b/c I can just shove it in there hot and put it away. Nice...b/c I am ALWAYS in a hurry. GLAD I got this! My husband loves my sexy, straight hair!

ive never been able to straighten my hair on rainy days because the humidity would make it out of control. i tried the sedu today and it's stick straight and its raining out! its very shinny too and no product was needed! my only tip would be to start about mid-heat and slowly increase it if it isn't straightning right away, i started out at max and burned my ends a little!

I had been using a cheap straightener for a year. I decided to upgrade to a nice one and this one surely is. It heats up very fast, it gets really hot, and it will straighten the curliest of hair- fast!! My hair is naturally wavy and frizzy, this flat iron beat the cheap one- hands down!! I can't believe I went this long without this flat iron, it's great!!

Awesome product. This is my 3rd straightner and the other 2 are not even 5% as good as this one. Everyone keeps asking what I have done different lately and how good I look. Thanks I think I will order another one for my cabin and throw out the other 2.

I have used many hair straighteners before. After researching the best one, I bumped into Sedu - had not heard of it before. I can tell you that all rave reviews were right! In combination with the Sedu Silk Therapy, this iron went through my hair like silk! The results were instant and effortless... very soft and straight hair. Oh - the complimentary mat is very convenient for travel as well.

I ordered this iron after my CHI broke on me. I am very happy with the way it straightens my hir. It gets very hot an the results last a long time. I get compliments every time i go out with my straight hair. This is a great investment.

I have never straightened my hair. I am however one of those people who has to research every option before I purchase anything. I looked at all of the top brands and kept coming back to this one. Yes it is expensive and a big jump from simply going to your local Walmart and buying a $20 straightener, but I didn't want to end up buying three different $20 straighteners just to eventually end up buying the best on the market.....the Sedu. My hair is generally straight already, however by the end of the day it is fluffy and I have fly-aways like mad. I also use Matrix Sleek Look Flat Iron Spray (which works great!) I have rather oily hair as it is, so the salon I go to recommended that I use the Boilage Smoothing shampoo and conditioner rather than the Sleek Look. This combo seems to work perfect for my hair. I would recommend to definately invest in this straightener from the start. You will be happy you did!

I was going to choose either the Sedu or Chi. I chose Sedu and I am extremely happy with the results. I use often on my hair and my two daughters hair, and this product was worth the money. I will never go back to cheaper imitations. Order and you will not be sorry that you did.
