I have thick coarse hair and this straightner works like a charm. It heats up quickly and straightens hair fast leaving your hair silky soft and sleek. I can't recommend the Sedu enough. Thanks for an awesome product!

I paid over $250 for a Chi flat iron about 4 years ago and it was good...not great but good. I have very long, very thick, naturally curly hair. The Chi worked but it took a long time to do my whole head because I had to make several passes over each section. I mainly bought the Sedu because it has wider plates and I figured that would speed the process along. I am AMAZED!!! The straightening time for my hair has been cut from 45+ minutes to 15 minutes. One pass on each section is all it takes. Needless to say, I am very pleased and highly recommend this product.

I have never had a iron than works so weel.My hair is shiny and it takes me minutes to do my whole head :) I LOVE IT!

This is my fifth or sixth purchase from folica and the right merchandise always arrives in perfect condition in a very short time. The Sedu straightener is great- smooths your hair and very user friendly. Heats up fast.

I really love this Flat iron. I'm starting to grow my perm out because of it!! So many people have given me great compliments on my hair. How straight and healthy it looks. I would recommend this product to any one!!!

My hairstylist uses this on my hair, but I want it to look as good as when she does it everyday! So I splurged on this straightner and have never been happier! My hair is quickly straightened, and stays soft and shiny all day! No frizz either! A must have for those who want straight hair fast, and keep their hair healthy!

i LuV the sedu it is soo much better than the maxiglide ppl loved my hair, ppl thought i had a relaxer that is how striaght i got it, i am african-american and i have the thickest kinkiest hair and i dont get relaxers, i have a straight up afro after i wash it!!!! i will put pics up after i get them developed IF IT WORKS ON BLACK PEOPLES HAIR THEN IT WORKS ON ALL HAIR!!!, i have been investing and looking around for flat irons and i found the perfect one!!!!

I can see why this straightener is the best selling iron. I've just recently bought a Pro Select straightener and it work like sh**. So my neice said that she just bought this flat iron (Sedu) from Folicia.com and wanted to bring it over to my house for me try it. This iron has the to be the best flat iron in the world. I have asian coarse, colored hair, and this flat iron did it all..... super straightening, shines, and very light. The pictures from all the girls here speak itself........Thanks a lot, Sedu:)

I have very curly hair and also A LOT of hair so with all the other flat irons I had tried what happened was that yes I got my hair straight but after about two hours and a half and also after being with my hair straight for about an hour I had to pull it up in a pony tail because it would start to go fluffy. When I was checking for a new hair iron I was a bit skeptical about this one but the positive reviews helped me now I can actually probe that this iron really works! I've reduce my ironing time to about 50 minutes only, I get really straight hair and also shiny and sleek and I don't have to pull it up in a pony tail I can be all day long with my straight hair u should defenetly purchase this iron is the best! I have an affair with my sedu!!

I used to have an Infrashine and it was great. This made made hair feel dry after using it twice and I could get short pieces of hair or my fly-a-ways because it was so big. I returned it and got a 1-inch Solia which is fabulous.

I have wavy/dry hair and it takes me a lifetime to blow dry it--and what for if I end up having to use a flat iron afterwards anyway!
I bought this flat iron and it is worth every single penny. The ultimate test was that I let my hair dry completely on its own (air drying) I looked like Roseanne Rosanadana (from the old Saturday Night Live days)It was still a tad bit damp but couldn't wait to use the iron so I divided my hair into a few sections, sprayed a small amount of heat protecting hair mist on and ironed away. I had ALL of my hair pin straight in about 20 minutes--and it usually takes me about an hour just to blow it out. My husband couldn't believe how quickly I was able to do my hair bc me styling my hair is the usual culprit that explains my latenesses.
It takes all of half a minute to get it up to temperature and it feels very comfortable in your hands. Someone had even asked me if I had done a Japanese hair straightening treatment to my hair (which would have cost more than this iron and would have needed lots of follow up work)
My one and only regret----------------I waited too long to buy it. I could have been getting great results all along for only a fraction of the time.

This is a great flat iron, but has a defect or short in the cord after buying the first one I noticed the short after 1 week and sent it back for another one, once again after 7 months the short happened again, this flat iron is not made to last very long and is pretty expensive.......

I was hesitant to purchase a flat iron that would ost that much but I must admit it was the best investment I have made for my hair.... I pair it up with Aveda's Elements Smoothing Fluid and my hair looks smooth and silky...And I say that because those are the comments I hear from people...I've never had so many people wanting to feel my hair! :)

My hair was extremely curly, and I had a chemical straightening service that only made it worse. My hair became unevenly curly with some random striaght/frizzy strands. You can imagine what a hair type like mine would take to look great!
I came across Sedu while surfing Folica, and I was amazed by the huge number of excellent reviews, and they were right. The iron is amazing; it reduces the styling time to the half or even less. My messed-up hair looked wonderful, as if I went to an expensive hair salon to do it.
You can't imagine how shiny, smooth and frizz-free my hair becomes after using Sedu.
I would recommend it to every body.
I have to mention that I ordered the iron on Monday at 7.00 am, it was delivered to me Tuesday afternoon! that is only one day. Thanks to Folica :)

I've got extremely thick hair that tends to wave and friz after drying. I've had this straightener for one year and use it daily. My daughter also uses it and it is holding up great. Heats up quickly and doesn't snag hair. Completely straightens it. Even during humid months, after using this straightener my hair still stays straight. I've never had so many compliments on my hair. Great product... Highly recommended!

I was so excited when i bought this iron. It worked very well. But after six months of usage about one to two times a week. IT BROKE. I was soooo pissed. The Sedu works well but, breaks easily. I don't recommend this. The Chi is much better and has not broke on me yet. I have very long hair and not every strightner works on my waves. Sedu works but breaks easily!!! I feel like I wasted my money.

Sedu is great. All the stuff I heard about it is true. When I bought this product I decided not to raise my hopes so high until I used it.. The first time I used it I had amazing results. The part about sedu not snagging your hair is completely true.. its been just 3 weeks now, so I dont knw about durability yet. I used it on my friends and they just dont believe how it changed their look. They decided to buy it no matter what.... Once again its really good compared to the cheap conair ultra thin straightener I used previously.

My hair is naturally straight, but its also what they call porous, any moisture makes my hair get all wavy, dull and out of control even after blow drying. Even on humid days the sedu makes my hair straight, frizz free, and shiny! It doesnt fry or burn your hair to a crisp like some other flat irons, but naturally it does get a bit dry over time, so make sure you condition. I love it & its worth every last penny. And now I sound like an infommercial!
BTW... Folica ships super fast, it came in like 2 or 3 days, I was shocked!

So I had a CHI before, lasted me 5 years, it still works but began losing heat from everyday use. Then I decided I wanted to try and new brand, so I researched here on Folica, and saw the raving reviews about the Sedu. Ordered it, and it was honestly a great straightener, until a couple months in it starting turning off by itself. I figured out that the swivel cord was preventing it from connecting properly. Now it won't turn on at all, I emailed Folica a couple times, since I still have a warranty, I haven't even had it a year!! But nobody as even gotten back to me, so girls beware, might not last you for a long time, and if it doesn't even last a year, it is not worth the money. Better off getting a CHI that you know will last forever. Very disappointed in this flat iron.
