I have thick hair and this flat iron really does the trick in straightening. I get a better quality job in less time with this flat iron.

I was skeptical at first, but once I tried I knew it was best straightener ever. I loved it so much that I am buying them as gifts for Christmas so that my friends and family can enjoy great hair too!

I've been using straighters that were "professional" for over 5 years. Besides the fact that straightening my hair took at least 20-30 minutes, each one of them has needed to be replaced. Finally, I found the Sedu and my straightening time has decreased to 5-10 minutes (and I have long, thick hair!!). Also, it warms up in 30 seconds and shows no signs of slowing down. When I first told my sister (who also straightens) about the Sedu, she wasn't interested, as she already has an iron. Now, my sister asked that I buy her one for Christmas after seeing my hair, so I'm back at Folica for another. The Sedu is definitely the best straightener I've ever used, and you cannot beat the price at Folica. Happy Holidays!

I do not know how the others flat irons work, but this I Really like
Ones I plug it in, it comes hot for a seconds, straight my hair so fast, make my hair so soft

Sedu vs. Solia

I've had a Solia flatiron for a long time and was very happy with it. Then one day, I dropped it (again) and broke it. (Completely my fault.) So, I decided to try out the Sedu iron and see if there was anything to all the hype. I've been using the Sedu now for about a month and I really like it as well. I'd have to say that I prefer the Sedu, it gets my hair straighter in a more timely fashion than the Solia. (But, it should because it costs more!) Anyway, they are both very good irons, but in my opinion the Sedu is definitely the better of the two. Also, in reading reviews before purchasing the Sedu I read that the outside of the end of the iron is hot to the touch. This is true, but I don't understand who irons their hair holding the end instead of the handle. So, this is not an issue for me. Happy shopping!

Hello All,
I read fantastic reviews about this product and so chose it over CHI. This may have been a mistake because it straightens by hair but not as miraculously as others claimed it would. Its average and works. I have long thick curly hair and I even tried blow drying out first and then straightening it, but it came out very dry and uneven.
I will use it once in a special occasion if I have many hours to spare but if not, I am learning to enjoy my curls. I hope this helps!

I'm stationed in the middle east and hair products are scarce. I just tried my Sedu flat iron 4 days ago. My heritage is Iroquois Indian and black. My hair is to my waist but tends to be curly and frizzy. This product has restored my hair's moisture, body and sheen in only 30 minutes.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who does not want to use harsh chemicals to straighten their hair out or to someone who has damaged hair due to bleaching or processing.

I purchased the Sedu 1 1/2 Iron. I guess after reading all the hype in the reviews, and for the price I expected more. Let me say that the flat iron did a nice job of straightening my hair (African American). However, not with less effort then the gold and hot I already own, I still had to go over each section twice. My hair did come out nice and silky with movement, but not with salon results. It may have been the product I used. I do think this iron will create less damage to your hair. I also think it is well worth money if you flat iron your hair often or daily. The plates are smooth and there is no pulling of the hair. I did find the iron to act kind of faulty, so I sent my back for a refund. Personally, I think a less expensive brand would work just as well.

This is the best straight iron I have ever used. It takes no time at all to heat up, and my hair has never looked or felt silkier! The first time I used it, people asked me what I had done differently.

I really don't find this straightener to be any different than others I have used - I think the real jewel is the sedu shine product. I recently purchased it, and it really makes your hair so silky and soft. I love it. I got one for my daughter, who also uses a straightener, and she loves it. She asked me to buy her a few bottles for xmas, that's how much she liked it. I feel the $125 I paid for this straightener was a real waste. I could get the same effect from a ceramic model for a much lesser price.

I purchased this straightener for my daughter and she LOVES it. She has tried all kinds of other straighteners and was never happy with them.

When I received this product, I was surprised at how light it was. It's much easier to use than any other straightener I've had in the past. It straightens well and only takes a few seconds to heat up. Sometimes, however, I do have to go back over my hair a few times or turn the temperature up on the iron. Overall, it was worth the money and I hope to have it for a long time.

I highly recomend this flat iorn to anyone that is looking up to spice up there look. Normaly flat irons dry out your hair and spilt your ends, but Sedu goes above and beyond to get you that sheek look you want.I HAVE bought a lot of flat irons but never seeked this look. This is worth every penny that i have!If i could, i would buy it agean.This is a great flat iron! GET THIS IRON!!!!You will not regret it!

If you are having a hard time pulling the trigger on buying this hair straightner because it's a bit pricey, please know that I felt the exact same way for a long time. So much so that I basicall wasted 75 dollars buying 2 different cheap hair straightners. Like the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." The Sedu is hands down the BEST straightner I've ever used. From the second it touched my hair I could tell it was going to work wonderfully, and it does! I am 100% satisfied and would definitely say don't waste your time or money shopping around elsewhere, this is the straightner you want...I promise!
