Let me start by saying that my hair is a mess. it's curly, stressed to the max and soooo much frizz. i hate going to school with my hair sopping in gel to keep it non-frizzy. my friend told me about the sedu and even though i'd tried so many straighteners that didn't work, i bought it anyway. i am so glad i bought it! it heated up in LITERALLY 10 SECONDS. it used to take me an hour and a half to straightn my hair and with sedu it takes me 40 minutes. with sedu my hair ALWAYS comes out SILKY, STRAIGHT, FRIZZ-FREE, FLAWLESS, and SHINY. i'm sooo glad i bought it!! there's a problem with my camera and i can't get the picture of my gorgeous, straight hair on the computer but believe me, sedu really works, absolutely no lies. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!

After much research I chose this straightener. My 14 year old was very pleased, liked that it heated up very quickly and says it works very well. I like the ability to control the temperature, on/off switch, swivel cord. 1 1/2 was a perfect choice for long hair.

i would recommend this product to all and i got my shipment very quick too. what others say about the reviews on this product is SOOOO TRUE. it came with a nice pouch and a little makeup bag free. use this straightener with paul mitchell leave in conditioner to protect your hair from the heat and it helps prevent split ends too. love it!

I have the Solia, Chi, and my daughter just got the Sedu. I hated the Solia, it didn't make my hair look shiny and soft after use. It also pulled my hair which caused breakage. The chi is really nice, and what my stylist ueses. After trying the Sedu, I want one now!!!!!!! My hair looks sooo shiny and feels soooo soft. I would tell everyone the Sedu is worth the money. I have thick hair and my daughter has thin hair, but we both look great after using the Sedu. You will love it!!!!!!!

this is the straightner you have been looking for it has the high temperatures but does not ruin your hair...extremely impressed with this item and the ordering and shipping were quick and easy..I highly recommend I bought 4 other straightners and spent plenty of money..i will not be buying another one!

This is by far the best straightener I have ever used. I have very curly hair, not course but curly. I have been using another straightening iron for a while, but it would get caught in my hair and I though it might be frying it a bit. The Sedu is amazing, the first day I got it, I tried it on my curly hair, although it wasn't exactly what I wanted I saw that in no time it would straighten my hair. The next day I blew dry my hair straight and then used the Sedu, it was amazing. My hair is silky and it doesn't get caught at all, so no torn hair or breakage. Also, it definitely speeds up the process. It is also super light, which makes it so much less tiring. I had read all the reviews before buying it,and was still skeptical, because I have heard good things about other straightening irons/blowdryers that weren't so great, but this time they were spot on. I have recommended it to my friends who also have curly hair. I am really happy with it, I hope this is the last one I have to buy.

As I said it works for me not sure how does cheaper one performs(bacause I never tried anything before).
I just wish to have gone for 1" version of this thats because that would be easier to handle by yourself

I have extremely curly hair, and have lived a long time just pulling it back into a bun. Now that I have the Sedu, my life has totally changed. It only takes me about 15-20 minutes in the morning to straighten it. I have medium long and very thick hair. It's very quick and doesn't look all frizzy. Perfectly straight, you wouldn't even know that I had curly hair! I would Highly recommend this product.

I love the sedu. I've owned it for about a yr and a half and it is great. i have rididulously curly hair and it makes it straight and beautiful, and quickly...whereas the chi took a lot longer...i recommend this to anyone who wants good straight hair..i actually just bought another for my roomate!!

This model was recommended to me by a co-worker whose hair always looks great. It heats up quickly, straightens well and my hair stays straight all day. It also doesn't damage my hair.

This iron is the BEST! My friend owns a chi and she now comes over to use my iron. I have really long, really thick hair and this iron works great! I go out to clubs and come back w/straight hair, my hair is now humidity resistant...lol (i live in miami). Put it on the 400 setting, its wonderful, no touch-ups necessary.

I have very curly long hair and this Straightener works great! It takes me only about 20 minutes and it looks as though I have never had a curl ever. (I never thought my hair could be poker straight!) I simply wash and condition my hair w/a straightening shampoo/conditioner and towel dry it well. I then use a straightening lotion and then iron. I don't even blow dry it. I would definitely recommend this Straightener...

Okay, I never write reviews on anything... I read them, but I never write them. I HAD to write a review for this product, though. It's awesome. I have very fine hair, but a ton of it. It's long (past my shoulders), but it's got some unruly wave / kink to it. It's not wavy in the pretty way, it's wavy in the "oh my god, did that girl even brush her hair today" kind of way.
Well, I am a research nut, and I am not about to impulsively spend over $100 on a hair appliance unless I'm 100% confident that I am making an informed decision. I was so impressed with the Folica site overall, but the customer reviews of the Sedu iron were amazing. So, I bit the bullet and ordered one...
Best investment I have made in a long while... this thing is great! I don't use it everyday, but for the days I do use it, IT IS PERFECT! It heats up quickly, and glides smoothly over my hair. I have not had any detectable damage, and my hair is definitly color-treated. Plus, I love how silky and manageable my hair is. It even looks great the next day.
I am so impressed with this product, that I just ordered the Sedu XTI Ultrapower hairdryer today. I know I will be pleased with that, too. These are worthwhile investments, because if your hair is long, you have to treat it well. Then you can save money b/c you don't need to go to the salon to "correct" the damage we cause in our attempts to style.

This is the second one I bought. I have two daughters with two VERY different hair types and they both love the Sedu. My 20 year old who has used several well known and loved straighteners can't believe how well and fast the Sedu does her hair. She has long, very curly and frizzy hair and this straightener just makes her hair look beautifully straight and shiny in half the time of her friend's Chi (which until using the Sedu, thought is was great). She moved away from home and asked for the Sedu for Christmas and couldn't wait for it's arrival...thank you Sedu!

Hello there. I have now tried my sedu iron about 10 times and I just love it. I have long curly hair which has just been recently layered. I find my sedu iron straightens my hair with way less effort compared o when I used a chi. Even when my hair dresser used her chi on my hair she was saying my hair was quite stubborn, but I have not had that problem with my Sedu . I find I don't have to keep going over and over the same section of hair as many times as when i was using the Chi,to get a better staighting effect. I think the Sedu gets hotter also. I have quite a sensitive head and I found the chi did not flow down the hair as easily as the sedu. It was like she was having to tug harder on my hair to get the same effect of straighening as I get with my sedu with again less effort. Any way I just love my Sedu Iron.

Hi, I know what your thinking, can a hair straightener you buy offline, be good, maybe even great? OF COURSE! This iron is the best I have ever used, and for a person half black half white you have a mix of both so its diffcult to find the perfect product. But, Sedu is it. I mean Look for yourself. I have extremely curly hair, and I love that, but its always nice to have your hair straight. Now, normally it took me about 2 hours to straighten my hair with a iron from Sally's, but now it only takes me 30 min. I couldnt believe it. I have heard Sedu last long too, but i wouldnt know i have only had it one day!!!! LOL honest. Ne ways most ppl wonder if these reveiws are real and trust me girls, (or guys getting the girl a present) This is real and Sedu is worth every penny!
