since I am growing out my japanese straightener, because I wanted my highlites back and they do not mix because of breakage. I blow dry first, and get my usual frizzy "do", I just use the Sedu and wow, its magical. Just as straight as the Japanese one, but not as dead flat. It lasts one full week with just a little touch up. Love it.

k so i have used MULTIPLE hair straighteners in the past and with all of them, my hair would get frizzy by the end of the day and they would dry out my hair
with sedu, i didnt have to spend the usual hour straightening my (THICK) hair... i can do it in 15 min now! my hair never gets damaged like it used to, it looks the same as it did when i first straightened it until i get in the shower... its great. i used to think that chi was the best and was really dissapointed when i got a sedu for christmas but now i think chi sucks compared to sedu. thanks santa... haha

This is the best strightener I have ever owned. It cuts the process time in half and it makes your hair look great!

I bought the flat iron for my daughter. The Sedu works great - we didn't realize how great until it shorted out
after 8 months and my daughter had to go back to using her old one. She said it took twice as long to straighten her hair using her old/cheap flat iron - and it didn't make her hair as straight or soft as the Sedu. Folica was great about sending a replacement really fast - great service!!!
I would definitely spend the extra money to get a great flat iron like the Sedu - it will save your hair and save you time!!

This straightener is amazing. My uncle bought me a straightener that he recommended (being a hairstylist) and this one blows the one he recommended away! It is so fast in heating up and gives excellent results.

Simply amazing product. I had a drug store bought straightener prior to purchasing this one and it used to take forever to straighten my hair. Now it only takes a few minutes to straighten my extremely long, thick hair. My hair is softer than ever before. I love this straightener

We purchased the straightener close to a year ago, worked excellent but it did stop getting hot so I called Folica. They handled the return excellent and very smoothly. No hassles or problems what so ever. I compliment this company for the manner in which they handled the return.

I bought this for my daughter and she is very satisfied with it. Her previous straightener, which was also an expensive one, pulled at her hair while she was straightening it, resulting in hair breakage. She does not have that problem with this one. She says her hair looks so smooth and healthy after she straightens it. She is a very satisfied consumer!!!

I did some research on Flat Irons and I found that Chi & Sedu rated top. I decided to go with the Sedu and I'm glad that I did. I absolutley love my flat iron. I'm Hispanic with thick wavy hair and this iron makes my hair flat and shiny as if I just stepped out of the salon. I know you may be skeptical but do yourself a favor and try it. I think my purchase was well worth the money as other, cheaper, flat irons made my hair look dry and damaged.

This iron is very light and easy to use. It does not damage hair. I replaced a 1" iron from another, very popular, manufacturer and am very pleased. Don't have a picture to send but I have fine, curly hair in which the curl is not distributed evenly, in brief, hair with a mind of its own. At first, I thought the larger iron might be unwieldy, but the lightweight design and smooth plates work very well. My hair stays straight even in damp weather! I'd recommend this iron for anyone with fine, curly hair who wants styling options without sacrificing hair health.

This product has shortened my grooming time to a few minutes! I used to dread washing my hair because it meant about a half hour of straightening with a round brush and dryer. Thanks to the Sedu Straightener I'm finished with the whole process in about 15 min. (including drying my hair)! Wish I'd bought this a long time ago.

We have 3 women in the family. We all use our Sedus every single day, and travel with them frequently in their special heat-proof pouches. Not only do we depend on our Sedus, but on the rare occasion that we've had a problem with one of them, Folica has been fantastic about working with us.

This is the best straightener you could purchase. Hard to straighten hair makes this thing look like a miracle. Your hair looks naturally beautiful and feels just as soft as it looks. The customer service is awesome as well..and they ship it right away.
My hair has never been this straight and smooth!

I got my Sedu today and couldn't wait to try it. I had already straightened my hair this morning with what I thought was a pretty good flat iron. Boy was I wrong! My hair is super smooth, shiny and soft after using the Sedu and I only had it set at 280 degrees. I also have problems with my hands. My old iron tired them out quickly and was hard to hold before my hair was straight. (My hair is only shoulder length.) The Sedu is very light and easy to hold. It smooths the hair so much quicker and easier. You won't be disappointed with this iron.

i just got my sedu today, and i really love it. i straightened it as soon as it came. i was debating between this or a chi, and decided this would give me better results. i have really thick, extremely curly hair. the sedu really tamed my mess, and made it feel really great. i don't have any pictures to show now, but as soon as i get them, i will post them.
if you are debating between this and another straightener, get this one. it may be more pricey, but you end up getting exactly what you pay for!

This is one of the only straighteners that has worked on my half African American half caucasian hair. I get salon quality results and my hair does not poof up when I go outside in different weather conditions (but must cover hair in rain of course) I bought my sedu in July and waited to write the review, and I guesss I'm glad I did since mine broke on Christmas morning. I sent it back yesterday to get it fixed, which cost 9.95 plus shippining to folica. The sedu works great as a straightener, I just wish it lasted longer for me, especially for the price. I wonder if I should of bought the solia since the reviews say it works just about as well and it is about $40 less, if that one broke I wouldn't be as disappointed because of the price. I hope after my sedu gets sent back to me it will last longer since the warranty is only one year.
