All my life I've had to live with course, wavy, frizzy hair no matter what salon product I used on my hair or what hair cut I had. I bought the "cheaper" flat irons and they never worked that well. I wish I would have spent the money years ago and I would have looked a lot more professional on my job! This iron truely works. It takes a while to get used to going from frizzy hair with body to soft,smooth hair that is kind of flat but looks much nicer. It doesn't take long to do my hair - maybe 10 minutes tops. I let it warm up while I put my make-up on. The only concern I have is that this iron gets "hot" on the lowest setting. I can't imagine putting it any higer than the lowest setting. It really softens your hair also. Spend the extra money - trust someone that has had cheaper flat irons that didn't work as well. There is a big difference between this product and the saloon's $50 irons. Actually there is no comparison. This one works!

I love my Sedu Ionic Straightner. It makes my hair really smooth and soft. Not to mention, it doesn't take as long to style. It stays straight all day and in Hawaii that is amazing. The humidity here kills my hair! My old straightner always made my hair feel dry. I will never use a cheapo straightner again!!

I have very thick, very wavy hair which used to be a real pain to straighten. I recently cut a lot off so if I sleep on wet hair, by the time I wake up it is a giant puffball. Other straighteners have taken much more time to use with much less satisfying results. I used to feel as if the curl on the back of my head always came back and my hair would frizz and get wavy in the slightest bit of humidity. Also, with other straighteners my hair didnt feel natural and the ends always looked a bit fried.
This is completely not the case with the Sedu. I shower at night and sleep on a towel to dry my hair, only to save time. With a Sedu it takes 10 minutes to straighten (and I am quite the perfectionist.) Now I put the top 3 inches of hair in a ponytail and split the the rest of my hair into two sides. After doing each of the two sides separately, and then toegether to fix the back, I straighten the top piece while still in a ponytail. This gives me a little bit more volume on the top instead of my hair lying lifeless. Then I take it out of the ponytail and 2 or 3 times through the top piece and I am done.
I was wary about the 1.5" size because all of my straighteners have been 2". Also (while I don't recommend this part) it may look super fragile but I have dropped it for slight falls on carpet and it has been fine. I do use the 410 setting just because my hair is so thick.
I have never had so many people comment on how good my hair looks all the time. One of the best results is that my hair is super soft and silky and it really looks natural, not like I have spent time flat ironing it. Two thumbs up.

The BEST Hair Straightener I ever use. I try many in mt time, i got to the solon every week and spend alot of money to get my hair straighten its too costy after a time. I did two month of research on the internet for the best straighten and i found SEDU Hair Straighteners i bought it and been using it for six months, since then i never go to the solon. My hair is very long and it takes 4minutes to get it straight its a beauty. Buy it TRUST ME YOU WILL LOVE IT.

I was looking for a hair straightener, because the one that I had previously had broken. It was from "Hot Tools" & one side did not heat up as I used to carry it around in my bag & that probably disconnected the wires. Anyhow, I found this site on Google & was impressed by it tremendously. It gave the Top 10 best sellers which made my life much easier. I chose this one as it was the Top Seller & mainly because it claimed to not pull on your hair; & I rec'd it less than 1 day! Not to mention, there was no tax, no shipping & handling & it came with a brush & a heat proof pouch! All for $125. I got a sale & 2 free items. What is better than that? Well, I've only used the item once so far, but it definitely straightened my hair very well. & I was so happy when it didn't pull on my hair at all. Not to mention, it heated up so fast. I love this straightener. I have long thick hair and it worked great on it. I only had to run it once through my hair and it was straight. I tried the Chi one before and I didn't like that it only had 1 setting. This one has a temperature tiny knob. So this can work on any kind of hair. Great Product!

Yes - it IS well worth the price! "Hair straightners" are pretty much a dime a dozen...BUT Not only is my wife is THRILLED with the results of the Sedu and the quality of the product but your incredibly fast delivery SAVED me with the last minute Christmas order that I ALMOST forgot to make... !

I know that there are already a million reviews for this thing, but I'm not surprised. This little machine is amazing. I'm black, I have a TON of hair and all of it is in really tight curls if i don't comb it out, and this huge frizzy fro when I do. The SEDU flat iron went through my hair in like an hour, and this is with me being distracted.
It did my hair in half the time of the chi that i've had for a while with astounding results, my hair has never felt so smooth and its not stiff like with the chi. It actually moves with me, something that only the lady at the saloon could do with my hair. oh! And its really shiney too.
Now if only I got a trim to shape the ends of my hair, it wouldn't look so dull and would be perfect, but for now, I'm really happy.

Oh, also I forgot to say: I use the heat switch turned up all the way. It hasn't hurt my hair and seems to take less time.

I have bought lots of stuff over the internet, but this is the first time I've written a review. This flat iron is fantastic! I have fine, blonde, very wavy and curly hair that I kept short. For the first time I can grow my hair out long. I have had this iron for about 5 months now, and everybody is commenting on my silky smooth hair. I live in the Deep South, where the humidity is high and the rain almost never stops. My hair just doesn't frizz (unless it gets wet.) Also, I was scared of split ends and damaging my hair, but I have no split ends and my hair hasn't been cut since ... hmm.. let's see ... must have been at least 4 or 5 months before I started using the Sedu.

when i ordered it i knew it was going to be good but i didn't know it was going to be this good i was genuinly surprised by how straight and silky it made my hair. it's definately worth the money.
here i was thinking my old revlon gave me good results. now i don't need to continue paying for matrix sleek look japanese hair straightning because the sedu straightens my natural hair unlike my revlon.

Took me only 10 minutes to straighten hair as opposed to the half hour it usually takes. Hair was smooth and shiny and straightener did not pull or break hair. Well worth the money!

For the past 2 years I have been using a Solia flat iron. It worked well on my thick, somewhat coarse hair. butwouldalways think there had to be a better product for my hair. My friend has a chi, my hair stylist always uses the chi, and kept telling my to buy one.
but I read sooo many reviews that say they don't work well after a while. If I am spending over 100 dollars, I want it to last longer than a year!
So I searched and searched, and kept coming back to Folica and reading about the Sedu. There were so many positive reviews that I decided to try it. SO, to test it out, I washed my hair with any old shampoo and conditioner. Not my expensive stuff, just what you can get at any store.
I did put some chi silk infusion in my hair.
I straighten it, and WOW! my hair is smooth and silky in 20 minutes. If I wanted my hair to be super straight with the SOlia, I would have to deep condition my hair, use all the best products I have and then straighten it with the solia iron for about 40 minutes. With the sedu, I didnt even use my best products, and it only took 20 minutes to have gorgeous, shiny, healthy hair! My friend could not believe it. She said it looked like it didnt have one piecs of fuzzy frizz on my whole head. Even the ends in the back were smooth. I went to soccer practice for my son that night, and it is always very humid on the soccer fields, my hair stayed straight! THis product is awesome. even though it is expensive, I can throw away all of my straightening balms and sprays! that will save me money. I will no longer want to try every product out there...my sedu can do it all!

I like this iron, but the quality is so cheap for $120!!!! It did a nice job on my hair but, I could have kept using my corolisis iron. It does not snag your hair, but this iron is by far not the best out there! It also gets super hot on the outside which makes it difficult to curl your hair with these irons. So there are a lot of positives and negatives with this hair iron.

I just love this product, it works awesome and I would by it again and again. I have recommended to friends and family and have gotten 5 of then to purchase. I just was not pleased the second time I ordered it did not work so I had to send back. I had to pay for the shipping which I thought was not fair and I had to wait quite a few days.

This is the first nice straightener i have purchased and it is wonderful. I have been borrowing my friend's Babyliss 2" forever and this one blows it away. It is light and my hair never gets caught. I was worried that 1.5" wouldn't be enough because my hair is very coarse...it works quickly and I couldn't be happier.

The second I put this flat iron to a section of my hair, I knew it was different than all the other products I've tried. My very thick, dry, frizzy hair turned soft, shiny, and bouncy. And I didn't get that nasty burn smell. It really does literally glide over your hair, and does the job in just about half the time. I love the Sedu!!

This is a great straightener. It's lightweight and SOO worth every single penny. It gets to the hottest temperatures, and other straighters only go up to 200 or 300. I love it. I used to have big hair, and now I get compliments everywhere. Everyone loves my hair now, and whenever my peers see me I always get, "Omg, your hair looks so hot!" or, "Your hair is amazing." I also won my ex boyfriend back with a hair straightener, I mean, I impressed him and everything, and his new girlfriend was really pretty/popular, (i said no) but this straightener is magic. Compliments everywhere you go!!

I don't know how much I can express about how much I love this flat iron. I am half islander and half black, so I like to consider my hair confused. It is definitely curly and can be managible if it is straight. So for the past 3 years I had been contiplating about which flat iron I should get. At first, I tried the HAI 2, and that was okay. I took me about 1 1/2 hours do get my hair straight, then it broke so that had me spending at least $80-$100.00 every two weeks to get my hair washed and flat ironed straight. Then I heard about the T3, I was very interested in buying because it said from wet to dry and it cost something like $200.00, at that price it must be great. Well I finally started to research websites and I asked friends and finally I came upon Folica.com and saw the SEDU. I was sceptical and looked at all 10 of the top 10 flat irons listed I went through all the reviews and noticed that the SEDU was the only flat iron that over a hundred pages of reviews and 95% of them were all great. I know I am dragging on about my story but, since the price is going be pricey then I should at least make sure it's an investment. Although it's a lil over $100.00 it still cheaper than the ones that insist on being extremely the best professional flat iron in the industry like the T3 that runs for $200.00. And honestly, it's the best thing that I have ever bought for my hair. If my hair is completely dry, it takes about 30-45 mins to get my hair done. My hair is runs down my back just about 4 inches away from my butt. I only have to run the flat iron once maybe twice through my hair and I swear, it's bone straight. The best part is that I don't even use and type of anti-frizz serums or sprays. My hair doesn't come out dry, although it is good to apply a little serum just for extra shine but it's really not needed. I have only had this flat iron for three weeks and I love it every time I use it. I've used it almost every other day. If you are looking for a good iron, then this is the one to get.
