Its the most expensive hair appliance I have ever purchased, but it was a gift to myself after the birth of my son. It does what it promises. I have straight, long hair, but it is really thick and tends to be poofy after I blow dry. This straight iron smooths my hair out to look like the styles in the magazines. I'd buy it again.

I have tried many different and expensive flat irons and this one wins hands down. I love the way it makes my hair feel and I am very satisfied with this purchase. If you are interested in a flat iron, you really need to look into purchasing one of these babies. It is a dream, thank you Sedu and Folica.com!!!!!

I bought this for my daughter who has very thick coarse curly hair. She said this has cut straighting her hair in 1/2. She loves it.

I am an African American with a relaxed but very thick hair, and relaxing alone does not straighten my hair. This Sedu straightner has done wonders to my hair. After one use of this straightner my hair was very straight(Using a good heat protectant also is beneficial). The best thing is that it does not pull out my hair, and this is a plus because my hair tends to break a lot. Rather it slides through the hair, and my ends which are very stubborn become very straight. The money I spent on this product was definitely worth it.

Having owned the CHI straightener, it finally quit working on me after two years. So it was time to get a new one, After reading many reviews of both the CHI and the Sedu I decided to go with the Sedu. It seemed to be the better choice. Ive straightened my hair a few times with it. SO far its doing ok. I would have to say, I did expect more. The iron looks a little cheapy, and I m really scared to drop it. I was expecting it to work better than the CHI but in my opinion it works about the same. I think that if presented with another straigthener purchase I may go with the CHI.

I have used many flat iron in the last few years. Everything from a cheap $20 one from Walmart to a Chi that cost over $150. Probably, in all, 6 other brands. And hands down, Sedu is the absolute best. My hair is sleeker and smoother, and it is much quicker. The results are fantastic! I highly recommend this flat iron.

i am 13 years old i bought this flat iron because i have really really curl hair and its very frizzy the straightener worked great giving me pin striaght hair! it was great i loved it i could striaghten my mess of hair within 15 minutes but.. the bad part was that after u drop it a couple of times it breaks i have mine for about 2 years and then it syopped working after dropping it hundreds of times. i recomend u get this straightener because its not daming it helped my hair be smooth and silky but.. dont drop it

when i first got my sedu I was kind of surprised because as soon as I opened it up it looked-- not like the picture. It is actually very thin and light but it still delivered as soon as I figured out how to turn it on. I was surprised that I had to turn it to the highest setting to make my hair as straight as i wanted it considering my hair isn't even wavy. But it straightens really nicely and I've had it for about 3 months now and am now starting to notice alot of split ends.

When i'm on the got the sedu flat iron is my best friend it irons my hair so fast n smoothly i love the result my hair becomes extremely shiny and it makes it look super healthy!! I use the flat iron along w/ my sedu hair dryer together they have the best results the reason I use both is because I have curly hair so if I just ironed I would never finish!! but when on the go this product really works!! no lie it's none damaging it is great!! I really do recommend it and it's worth spending the extra money on it!

After reading numerous reviews I bought the SEDU IONIC Ceramic Tourmaline straightener , and its everything they say. I have very thick long wavy hair and have tried may different Irons. This is by far the " BEST "!!! Can't say enough about it. Cough up the money its well worth the price !
p.s., kudos to Folica for fast service ?

I WAS NOT SURE ABOUT THIS STRAIGHTNER BUT I GOT IT ANYWAY.I AM SO GLAD I DID.IT WORKS GREAT.I AM GETTING ANOTHER ONE FOR MY DAUGHTER.I HAVE A CHI AND THIS SEDU WORKS BETTER AND FASTER.MY HAIR FEELS SILKY.

My hair is baby fine and straight but dry and lots of flyaways. This iron makes it very shiny and smooth and it seems to be in better condition since I have been using the iron. Love it!!!

After years of using this flat Iron I've yet to find anything that compares.
With all the products that seem to come and go I am online now to order a second "just in case" it's discontinued! I figure I will pass mine to my daughter who just spent $200 on a competitive brand that she hates and can't return :-(
Literally everyone I've had try this flat iron falls in love with it and buys one.
I won't even waste my time considering another brand (actually I'm even scared to move to the newest model....I'm sticking to what I know is fabulous)

so, i got the straightener in September i think, and everything was great for a little while. I mean, sure, it did straighten my hair really well, but sometime during late October the green light wouldn't appear if I had turned the straightener on. It didn't really bug me because if i had waved the straightener around the green light would appear. But just this morning, I was plugging it in and nothing happened, and this had happened a couple times, but it would turn on after reseting the outlet plug in. This was the first time that it decided not to turn on. I may go back and try again, and maybe i didn't handle it very well when i had gotten it brand new. Overall, it was a good straightener, and did its job.

I have used so many products in the past, but none have worked as well as this. I have thick curly higlighted and colored hair. My hair feels great and looks shiny and as perfect as you can get. I have to tell my hairdresser about this. Sedu rocks!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried almost every iron out there.Im thirteen almost fourteen years old and so far this iron works very good.
The thing that i like most about this iron is that with all my other irons it took me way longer to straighten my hair
and with the SEDU IRON it cuts my hair striaghtening time in half. I have very thickcourse and very curly hair so with my other irons it took me about 2 hours in a half almost 3 hours to do my hair.with this one it takes me about a hour. So this is the best iron so far trust me u wont regret purchasing it.

I bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday and she loved it! It was worth the money, and does everything it claims to do.
I was also very impressed with Folica's customer service, they were helpful, fair and prompt in replying to me.
I wouldn't have any concerns about dealing with this company again. Keep up the good work folica!

Having used the Sedu Ionic Straightener now for about 2 weeks, I have to say I am very pleased with the results it gives. It is easy to use, I like the fact that it has a range of heat settings and it leaves my hair feeling silky and soft. It doesn't feel as damaging as my old straighteners and I have used it pretty much every day. I would definitely recommend it.
