I feel like I just stepped out of the salon! I could never get that look with my cheapy Revlon or the CHI. It has cut my time from one hour to 10 minutes! I am very satisfied with this product so far and would recommend it to anyone that wants to have that salon feel and look!

I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with this flatiron, it did pretty much the same job my $30 walmart one did. I had to go over the same piece of hair 15-20 times, and my hair is REALLLLY frizzy. And after going over the same piece so many times, it isn't even completely straight. I'll give it another shot, but for the moment, it is completely not worth the money I paid.

I just finish using the sedu and let me tell, I have the nappiest hair ever and ladies this flat iron is no joke:)
It works miracles. My hair is bouncy and super straight. I just love it.
Wiring went bad

Less then a month of having it the wiring went back. I can barely keep the iron on for 5 minutes without if going off and on. The 1 year warenty is only good for the product except for the wiring.
Lasted less than 6 months!!!!

I bought a Sedu last October (2006) and it is already broken (May 2007). It worked great as long as it lasted but it was quite short! Very disappointing. I wonder if anyone else has experienced the same thing. this is a problem with Sedus flat irons. Can anyone recommend a flat iron that works well, doesn't snap or burn the hair but also doesn't break after a few months! Very frustrating.

I am a person who has searched far and wide for something to make my hair stick straight. My hair is very thick, coarse, damaged due to coloring, and wavy. I have tried everything there is to straighten my hair, I got a permanent straightener at the salon, didnt work. I got Thermal Reconditioning Straightening treatment, didnt work. I tried Japanese straightening, didnt work. Then I finally found the SEDU. I swear this is the only thing on Earth that will straighten my hair the most without frizz. It is the only product to get hot enough to straighten hair with the texture of my hair. Honestly, you will not be disappointed with this product. The $130 is definitely worth it because you will not have to spend money on other straightening treatments I PROMISE!!!!!!!

I went through four flat irons before i landed on the Sedu.
I absolutely love this straightner.
It straightens any of my friend's hair and does a great job on my hair. It makes flips and curls and anything else I want.
Buy this flat iron it's great!!!

I got the Sedu a few days ago and i love it. I have THE most curly, nappy hair EVER! The sedu worked wonders on my hair, leaving no frizzies and silky smooth hair.
I would recomened the Sedu to anyone!

The sedu definately does what it's supposed to do. When i first tried it my hair was very straight. My hair did dry out a bit but then i applied a cream to it and it got shiny again and the straight hair lasted the whole week with no dryness at all.

I have extremely thick curly hair that has been extremely damaged with bleach, color, and thermal straightening which i regret doing. Anyways, i read the reviews about two years ago online about the sedu and i decided to buy it. The results were absolutely fantastic! I had a wigo straightener before this and the difference between the two were more than noticeable! With the sedu i could make my hair sleek and straight, or big and sexy.
I recommend this product to people who straighten their hair everyday
BUT.............
after two years almost exactly, it started dying a slow death. The light would go on and off and sometimes i literally have to bang the iron against the table to get it working again. Trust me, i never misused my flat iron. I took care of it as if it was my child. But I am now buying a new flat iron, I haven't decided if im going to buy the sedu nano or another brand. But does anyone know the highest heat setting for the CHI pink iron? i would like to know.
Overall, i was extremely happy with the Sedu and even though my damage hair has extremely bad split ends, it was able to disguise the split ends.
WOW! No more PULLING HAIR, SMOOTHING, and HEALTHY HAIR.

I'm a fan of CHI flat iron. Since my daughter and niece borrowed my 2 CHI turbo and original but never returned them (because they're in love with them). So I have a good reason to buy a new one, this time I just want to try this SEDU 1 1/2" (Oh,I want to compare SEDU with CHI, so I also had to trim my hair before I use this flat iron). I really LOVE it. It's light weight, easily handles. It isn't pulling, breaking my hair compares with my last 2 CHI (they're GOOD, too but I saw more slit end time after time even I took good care my hair with regular condition and treatment). I used SEDU flat iron in 3 months I noticed my hair less slit end look more healthy. With its size 1 1/2", I'm straighten my hair quicker, I also can flip or curl my end (but not curly like 1"), I can even bump up my hair volume by used it closer to my scalp then slightly turn my flat iron toward outside (crown or sides). I like its adjustable temperature: 240 ºF~410ºF, I'm glad I bought SEDU flat iron.

I have shoulder length thick, coarse, curly, wavy hair. I didn't think this would work for me, but my sister suggested it as she has one also.
I was stunned from the moment I opened the package. It is well packaged, and the free cosmetic hanging bag, and flat iron case are truly quality pieces.
I could not believe how quickly it heated. Unbelievable. I tried it immediately, of course, and even though my hair was not freshly washed, it worked wonders and was amazing. I am blonde, and nothing seems to give my hair the shine I have longed for. This did.
After washing my hair, the iron was absolutely incredible in it's performance. I didn't have to use over the medium temperature like I thought I would with my type of hair. I just couldn't stop looking at my hair!
I am a loyal John Freida products fan and they work wonderfully with the new flat iron. It is the first I've owned, so can't compare to any others. However, from listening to my girlfriends complain about cheapos they'd bought at local stores for $50 or less, I knew I should bite the bullet and get a good one if I was going to get one.
I researched many other styling tools but kept coming back to Sudo as the product reviews, product details, and the awesome tips and advice made me a believer, and felt I could order with confidence.
I'm totally thrilled with this flat iron and would recommend it without reservation to anyone who needs a fast working product that preserves your hair instead of damaging it.

After doing a lot of research, i decided to buy sedu. I am extremely pleased with the decision that I made becuase it definitely works wonders!! I used sedu on my friends and they were thrilled with the results. After using sedu, you're hair will be smooth, sleek and shiny. It heats up instantly which means that it'll cut your straightening time in half! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SEDU TO EVERYONE!! IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

i am new to the world of straightening. i have very think, very wavy/curly hair, that has a lot of frizz. each hair is fine, but there's so much of it!
a few months ago, i purchased the conair infiniti straightening iron. it worked well on my hair, and i was hooked on straightening my hair! (i had always dreamed of straight hair, but never really understood what was required....)
but, i was concerned about doing damage to my hair.... i didn't want to have straight hair for a few months, only to come out of it with completely damaged, unmanageable hair. so, i decided to try the sedu (and returned the conair).
the sedu doesn't get my hair straighter than the conair (because the conair did that perfectly as well). the thing that makes the sedu better is the smooooooth surfaces--my hair does not get caught in the iron (even though the conair was ceramic also).
and, the sedu will straighten my hair at a slightly lower level of heat (i was at around 400 with conair, but now can use sedu at 360) so i imagine the damage is somewhat less.
bottom line: it's much more expensive, and doesn't have that much better results, BUT seems to do less damage and glides more easily (with less torn hairs). i am happy with the purchase and would do it again.

Ok everyone i know that you are thinking you should get it beacuse everyone said it is, well guess what they were all telling the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my hair is O CURLY and when i did my hair i forgot how my hair was even before! amazing!! trust me it is better that the solia company.

I was not so happy with my purchase. it only lasted me less than a year.
I have very thick, curly, and frizzy hair and this did not work out for me. It did not do the job that I wanted.
For someone who has hair like me, I think that the Chi irons seem to work better. I haven't tried it yet but I am looking into buying one of the Chi irons.

I bought this for my daughter who loved it - for the time that it worked. One month out of the warranty period it broke. The cord stopped making good contact with the flat iron and that was the end of it. After contacting the manufacturer, they basically said sorry, it's out of warranty. After paying that much for a flat iron I certainly expected it to last past one year. Just think how many of the cheaper models I could buy for that price - and I'll bet they don't break as quickly.

This is the best straightener that I've ever owned. At first, I was scared by its small size but now I love it!! It's lightweight and does not pull on my hair at all. It has cut my straightening time wayyy down. Love it. Thanks, Sedu. ;)

I ordered this flat iron a few weeks ago. It has been a life changing experience! I have coarse, thick hair, that's frizzy and wavy, not really curly. (I live in South Florida which makes the problem even worse!) Before this iron, if I wanted to straighten my hair, I would blow dry for 25 minutes and then go over it with a less expensive model iron I had. It would look good for half a day and then frizz up again. Not with the Sedu! I don't even use a blow dryer any more. I let my hair completely air dry. Then, I iron it straight in less than 15 minutes. I can go 2-3 days without touching it up with the iron or a blow dryer and it's still straight. Hooray! I have 3 kids and usually have 5 minutes to get ready in the morning. I used to look like a wet rat. Now I look like a person who spent some time getting ready! I bought the Chi Silk infusion product and have used it on the ends of my hair after it's dry to keep my hair looking healthy. (It made my hair too oily when I used it all over.) Instead, right before I iron, I spray on one of the thermal protector sprays. I recently bought Nexxus "Heat Protexx" . It works great and doesn't make my hair greasy. For those comparison shopping, I tried the Chi iron and it also works great, but I decided to buy the Sedu since I read a lot of reviews about the Chi breaking. This product is worth every penny. I'm just wondering why I hadn't heard of it sooner!

I had previously used a Chi, but when it started shorting out, I ordered a Sedu. I absolutely love it, and definitely recommend it! It's worth every penny!! I LOVE IT!!!
