This was my second Sedu flat iron because the first one I had broke. The wire on my first flat iron rip so I bought another one because I liked how the first worked really well on my hair. I didn't get the same result from the second one because the plate isn't as slick and it didn't make my hair shiny like the first one. I regret getting this flat iron again and feel that I should of try another brand. I really had high expectation for my second one because it was the same exact one from before, but it didn't give me the same result.

I just got my Sedu straightener today and could not wait to use it! I have borrowed my SIL's Chi straigtener and this product is by FAR better! I didn't experience the pulling, frizzing, and burning smell that I did with the CHI.
I think this could be because the SEDU has a temperature dial so you can be sure to use the correct temp for more sensitive hair, or more unruly hair. I'm so excited about this straightener! It seems to add a lot of shine (I also used the Sedu Moisturizing Heat Protecting Boost, which I got at folica.com) and doesn't frizz out and fry my hair like I thought it would!
This is definitely worth every penny!

I have searched high and low for the perfect Straightener and found it with the Sedu. This was literally my 5th straightener purchase in just 3 weeks. I tried and returned the other 4 in all price ranges and was at my wits end until the Sedu arrived. My naturally curly butt length hair has been professionally straighten prior to the birth of my daughter in August 2006 but has since grown partially out and I have not had the time with an infant to get it done again. The Sedu works fabulously with out much effort, and dosen't pull my hair or burn my hand like all the rest. After I am done, you honestly can not tell which part of my hair is still professionally straight or done with the Sedu. I highly recommend it for anyone that wants a professional product and great looking hair!

I bought the Sedu hair straightener more than a month ago and have used it once a week since. My hair is long, very thick and very curly...It takes professionals about 1 hour to straighten my hair. With the Sedu, it took me about 1 1/2 hours to do it, keeping in mind that I'm an amateur at it. It made my hair very shiny and pin straight. And the best was my arms did not get tired because it's not as heavy as other irons. The real test was having two of my friends try it on their hair because they straighten their hair all the time...one has Maxiglide and the other has BabyBliss. They both loved it...They said it cut their time in half and made it shinier and straighter compared to their irons. One friend comes over my house every week to use my iron instead of hers.
I was hesistant to get the Sedu because I don't know much about irons but after researching, reading the reviews as well as my friends testing it out before the 30 days was up and my own testimonial, I think this is a great product.

It straightens my hair really well, but so did the one I got from a beauty supply store that was about $50 cheaper. I replaced my old one because some of the coating was coming off, I'm not sure if that will happen with this one too or not. Anyway, it works good, but I wouldn't pay that much again for one.

I'm a hairstylist and I work a lot doing Japanese Straightening, I was looking for a good flat iron, and I order the Sedu Ionic Ceramic and I just loved it!!! 90% of the success of my job is on a good flat iron. SO I GOT IT!!!

Over the past few years, my hair has been getting more curly and I haven't had a perm for years. I live in the Midwest where the humidity is terrible in the summer. Each summer, my hair looked worse and worse because there was little I could do to straighten it. I had been using a Conair flatiron, but it didn't do a very good job, and when I'd go out in the humdity or get caught in the rain, my hair would curl up again.
I decided to buy a really good flatiron because I was exasperated that I couldn't get my hair straight, which is the style I've always preferred to wear.
Well, this Sedu Flat Iron is a miracle as far as I'm concerned. My hair looks great and it stays straight when I am outside and its humid. It's easy and fast to use and doesn't pull or cause breakage of my hair. I spray on a Nexxus product - Heat Protexx - before I use the flatiron and I can see no heat damage to my hair.
I never thought I'd ever have pretty, straight hair again. I applaud the person(s) who made this Flat Iron.
The Sedu Flat Iron is a SUPERIOR product.
And my experience of buying it from Folica was very good, too. The free shipping was a nice bonus. I received the product much more quickly than I had expected.
Amazing what good tools can do!

I visited a friend in Hawaii with curly/wavy hair. One night she walked out of the bathroom with hair straight and smooth as a pin..because she used the Sedu. I got one immediately and am now totally awstruck every time I use it. I was never able to even approximate the way my hairdresser does it when I used Revlon or the other cheaper kinds you buy in drugstores. Sedu took the frizz out, and, it lasts nice and straight until my next washing. EVERYONE has complimented me on my beautiful new straight hairstyle. I recommend using e.texture from L'Oreal with it. It makes the iron glide through your hair. This was money well, well spent.

This is a good straightner.I got so many compliments when I used it first time.Very lightweight.I have very thick and coarse hair.But this works well on my hair.This is really very expensive But I wanted best for my hair.

I had this iron before and it was awesome! I dropped it too many times so I ordered another. The quality of the second one was not good compared to the first one. The plates werent level and it snagged my hair. I was going to send it back for another but waited too long. So now I am stuck with a defective iron.

I have not had it for very long, maybe 2 months but it works nice. i usually have to blow dry the frizz before i can get an iron to get it straight but not with this one. it heats up fast, i havent noticed any cracking on the plastic parts, it doesnt pull my hair, the cord doesnt get tangeled and i get nice results!!!!!

I love it. So far it is the only iron that has not damaged my hair. Ive been using it for a few months now, and it leaves my hair extra straight and pretty soft

i live in wet, sticky michigan and have frizzy, unmanagable hair. all my life, well, ever since i started straightening my hair, the style stays how i want it for a few hours- or until i walk outside. um i tried alot of the straightners out there well accept chi but i heard it broke alot so i didnt even want to spend my money .. but i got this one not too long ago and so far it really good .. it straightens my hair quickly and runs smoothly but you have to use heat products no matter what with even the best straightner.. so yeah but it is worth the money .. im happy with it so far i hope ill be very happy with it for a long time..
