I love this flat iron especially when i'm in a hurry. I have a 10 month old son. I'm always on the go and have the thickest frizziest hair. I love it and love it better than the CHI. I recommend this flat iron, it's worth the money.

This hair straightener is awesome. I have very curly, coarse, frizzy hair. I used this on my curly hair and it was unbelievable. My hair was straight, soft and shiny and the BEST part is it did not get frizzy or curly even during 90 degree heat and high humidity. Iti is worth the money and I would highly recommend it.
Great results, but style doesn't last long

I ordered the SEDU b/c the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. the ordering and shipping on folica were efficient and timely. I was in Vegas the weekend before my SEDU arrived, so I ran out a bought a cheap revlon flat iron. the revlon worked, but it took over an hour, and my hair returned to it's wavy curls within two days. Once i got the SEDU I tried it, and compared it to the revlon. The SEDU takes 30 seconds to warm up, and took half the time for the same results. It was amazing! I was in love with it the first day. It doesn't burn hale, and is very efficeint. After two days, however, my hair started to become wavy again. Just like when I used the revlon. when i have my hair professionally styled flat, my hair almost never goes back to wavy. i've tried several different techniques, and always see the sames aftermath.
i do luve in a very moist climate (about 15 miles inland and ten miles south of San Francisco) so this could be the reason for the waviness. Although, again, my stylist's job never goes wavy.
the SEDU is a great tool, and you can flat iron your whole head in 40 minutes -- with blow drying, one hour (i have wavy, dry curls), but don't expect the style to last. if you're really worried about the price, then get a revlon with temperture control and deal with the fact that it will take 90 minutes to flat iron your hair -- not including blow drying.

I love this product so much!!! I used to spend more than an hour and half straightening my hair with other flat iron. With this sedu flat iron, I'm so shock that there is actually a flat iron that would make it easier and so much faster. Now I spend less than 30 minutes straightening my hair every single time I use it. Wow!!!
Great flat iron!

First of all, I have never written a review on anything that I have bought over the internet or anywhere else. I had to write a review on this product. I have very thick and course hair. People in school use to joke about my hair how they could use it as a wirebrush on their cars or other objects. So in my adult years, here comes the hair straightener. I have used about 5 different ones over the years. This by far, is the best I have ever used. Actually, I just got it today and I couldn't wait to try it out. It took me about 20 minutes compared to 45 minutes with the older straighteners. Not only did it straighten my hair, but it left it silky shiney which I like. Please buy it, you will not be disappointed. I sure love it! It is worth every penny.
Love it

I have tried many hair straighteners and this one is definitely the best. It gets really hot if you have curly or thick hair. It also doesn't create static like other straighteners do. It's very lightweight also.
AMAZING!! :)

Well being half puerto rican, and mexican. I have extremely kinky frizzy hair. I can say i tried every flat iron in the market and nothing has worked like this one. At first i had my doubts. As i began to use it the first day i could already notice the results. The best part about it is that w other irons i had to use alot of products before straighting and after, still wouldnt work. Also i have alot of hair so what would take about two hours with any other flat irons with Sedu it only took less than 30 minutes to do. So yeah finally a flat iron that really works, in less time, and with the best results i ever had in my life. I am very happy to say that i am very pleased with the results and i absolutely recommend it to every one out having the same problem.

I love my Sedu iron. I used to use the ones that you can buy from your local grocery or beauty supply store, and had no idea what I was missing. A year and half ago, I tried my friend's Chi and loved it! I was going to order a Chi, and then realized that there is no temperature control. I have slightly damaged hair from having heat damaged it for so long, so I tend not to use the highest setting, so I opted for the Sedu based on the great reviews, and they were all right! I only need to use the iron on 300 degrees right after blow drying and 280 for touch ups. I have fine/medium curly hair and that is plenty hot to work wonders on my hair, and in a year and half have noticed healthier hair than when I used the cheap straighteners. No pulling of the hair, ever! I am ordering a new one after having it a year and half and it just broke. I think that is a pretty long life considering that I have dropped at least 50 times, I am so clumsy. And even now, it still works, but I have to turn the cord just right for it work at max heat. So, I can't wait for my one to arrive. Oh, and the free heat pouch is wonderful. I just use it, and throw it in the pouch to pack away. I used to wrap my old straighteners in a towel!
I'm in awe...complete awe...

I've gone through several straightners, all of them in the $40-$60 range. After my hair was washed and air or blow dried, it actually took 3-4 straightning jobs on my hair to really get it straight--and I'm talking 3 1/2 hr jobs! So my hair wasn't really straight until 2 days or so after first straightening it. It's ridiculous. I have amazingly thick, wavy, and now unfortunately fried hair. My only regret is not buying this AMAZING straightener sooner. I was going to get my hair chemically straightened but a dresser advised me not to. She advised a CHI. After reading the reviews and comparing them to those of the Sedu, I knew there was no way I was passing up the Sedu for a CHI. THANK GOD!!! I made the right choice, I'll never buy any other straightener again. My hair is pin straight right now--and it only took one job of about a half hour!!! Folica is awesome, too. Cute mirror and the free pouch--very handy.
Great buy - worth the money!

I bought it a few weeks ago and love it! I had been using a Revlon ceramic straightener and my hair just wasn't getting straight anymore (I have medium length, thick, frizzy, curly hair). I use a heat-protecting spray on my dry hair and straighten it on a medium setting. The result is shiny, glossy, frizz-free hair that lasts a few days. Totally worth the big bucks!

I have very tight curls and my hair is always frizzy. Now, it takes me from 20-30 minutes to get sleek and smooth hair! I love this and would definatly recomend it to anyone. But, what I found totally amazing was how well my hair seems to hold in the humidity...no frizzy heads :-P
The Straightner. Hands down.

This straightner is the one for all hair types and textures. I have a little longer than shoulder length, bolde curly hair. My sister has long brown extremely curly hair, and it is THICK!! We both used this flat iron and got amazing results.Even throughout the hmidity and weather of Florida, Sedu outwitted the competition.
For years I have had very expensive and top line flat irons, but they have always been lacking that shiney, soft, and perfect hair. But Sedu got me that hair. I know people that own a CHI or Paul Mitchell, and although those are good flat irons, they always made my ends look split and unnatural. But with Sedu I got the shine and look that I had been longing for. This strightner is worth the price. This straightner is fast and easy, because i have 7 classes a day, practice, and a family, so I dont have an hour to devote to my hair. With my old flat iron that took me 30 minutes to straighten with avergae results, the Sedu flat iron took me 15-20 minutes with outstanding resluts. Some people even think i get my hair professionaly done every morning!!! And the best part, is that Sedu doesnt damage my hair at all! The smooth plates give my locks a soft, shiney, and healthy hair. Sedu is the one.

I had a CHI for 2 years and was very pleased with it, and that's why it was a hard decision to try the Sedu flat iron. It was a great purchase! I like the fact that you can adjust the heat settings which my CHI did not do. The 1-1/2" size also lets you finish your hair faster. I love my Sedu!!!

The Sedu is AMAZING. I started off with the pink Solia, which was okay. It straightened my hair but there was still some pulling and it was nearly impossible to get my ends completely flat. (I have kind of strange hair, parts are straight but other parts are wavy and coarse.) A friend had suggested Sedu to me and I ended up ordering one after seeing how different and smooth the plates looked compared to most other flat irons. As soon as it came in and I tried it I decided that I was definitely sending my Solia back and keeping the Sedu. It heats up in about 30 seconds, keeps its temperature, doesn't pull my hair AT ALL, and most importantly: it straightens my hair like no other flat iron can. My hair ends up shiny and smooth and straight. It's also very light weight!
After less than a year using Sedu...

I have to admit, I've dropped my Sedu a couple of times but I'd never thought that the actual plastic around the plug itself would crack! And the heat would turn on and off. I'd have to put it in certain angles to do my hair until one day I couldn't stand it anymore. I think it had something to do with the wiring inside the equipment itself because I couldn't find anything wrong with it by just looking on the outside appearance of the iron.
The Sedu was amazingly awesome when it was still in great condition even when the heat was turning off and on. The plates were made with high quality but I question about its design itself whether it is made to last. This is just my experience. I have the Chi right now and it does not compare with Sedu but the sturdiness surpasses it.
I don't know if others have had the same experience as me with the Sedu but I'm willing to try Solia as well. I heard the built-in quality and sturdiness is better. I want an iron that would last than just less than a year.

For years now I have been using a cheap hair straightener. It worked enough, but it took me forever to straighten my hair because I had to keep going over the same piece of hair a few times before it was straight. My friend bought the Chi and I absolutely fell in love with the way it straightened that I had to get a ceramic straightener. I was going to buy a Chi but the reviews were so bad. As I was reading through the reviews of the customers who but the Chi, a lot of them were disappointed in spending that kind of money on something for it to break after a year, because the wiring would become faulty or if it was dropped even a very short distance it didn't work or it sometimes worked. Some of them named straighteners they found to be better than the Chi and the Sedu was one of them. So as I researched Sedu I saw that the customer reviews were so much better than the Chi so I decided to try it for myself and I absolutely love it. With the Sedu my hair stays straight all day and it cuts my getting ready time in half because I only have to go over my hair once to get the straightness I want. I have only had it a few days and I already accidentally dropped it on the floor from my vanity and I am very pleased that it still works just fine. So, if you are looking for a hair straightener, this is the one.
