I LOVE this flat iron!!

I have very fine hair that likes to puff out at times and look very much "undone." My hair takes to the heat and ceramic plates of this product very well. Unlike my old flat iron, I only have to spend a couple of minutes on my hair and it is completely done. And it feels so healthy and soft afterwards!
I've been shopping around for flat irons for awhile now and the prices in the stores are outrageously high. This was decently priced compared to the other ones I have seen and works likes a charm. I highly recommend it.
Don't choose the USPS delivery option though because it literally took over 2 weeks to be delivered to me. Apparently, the UPS shipping method (free) would have been a lot faster.
love it

totally worth the money! i would recommend it over a chi any day. my chi used to dry out my hair and i needed to use product with it to get it exactly the shape i wanted, but all i do with the Sedu is turn up the heat and i can do anything i want with my hair. i have gotten so many complements while using it!
I love it!

Heats up insantly with different heat settings, cuts straightening in more than half time, I have been getting great compliments since I have been using this product!
A Bit Dissapointing

I am African-American with long, thick hair that is 50% relaxed. I recently used this iron to remove some of the kink after using a wet-to-dry. While at the time, this iron did a good job of smoothing the hair, the next day my roots were frizzy. I think it will do a much better job if my hair was relaxed instead. I own a Corioliss too and it does a great job as well.I bought it last October just before taking a Carribean cruise where it was extremely hot and humid and my hair stayed amazingly smooth despite my contstantly sweating. When I resume chemically treating my hair, I am sure I will get excellent results with the Sedu at which time I will be happy to submit a new review. I still think this is a good tool and worth the money, but can only give four stars for now.
Pulls hair a little

I've had three Solia irons, all of which I liked very much, but as they got larger and heavier I began to think about getting a Sedu, which is so much lighter. I finally purchased one. The only thing I can say negative about it is that it feels like it pulls/catches the hair as it goes through the plates, whereas the Solia was always extremely smooth.

When I got my Sedu in the mail, I was soooo excited. The Sedu iron only partly lived up to my expectations, however. Yeah, it took a whole alot faster (I have thick, poofy, crazy hair and with my old iron it took 1 hr 15 mins; with the sedu it takes 35 mins) but im not gonna say that the results were a whole lot better. it leaves my hair kind of dry, but it does leave it smooth and shiny. the results did not last that long though.
but i digress. buy the sedu iron, but dont get your hopes too high. i do NOT think its worth $125.

I love it! It is very light weight and easy to handle. I've had the Maxiglide and it was good, but very heavy and the teeth seem to break apart my hair. The Sedu is by far the best straightening tool yet!!
I LOVE IT!!

I tried the CHI which my hair stylist uses on my hair all the time and thought I should by one...I then read the reviews on the Sedu and thought I'll try it instead and I'm glad I did cause it took halk the time the CHI does..I have the 1 1/2" and LOVE IT!!!!:)CHI is overrated!!!

Before i used the sedu, i used the cheapest straighining iron, the revlon one that they say is suppose to be the better of the cheaper brands. It managed to keep my hair straight but the second if hit warm temps it would curl. I took a chance and spent the money on the sedu, even though my hairdresser uses the CHi. I have short hair and all i have to do is just blow dry it, and the sedu manages to let me style it any way i want with volume with slight curl, simpy straight, any way i want it the sedu does it and it takes me about 10 mintes to straighten. The sedu does not break my hair or rip it out. As someone who gets their hair done and the hairdresser uses the CHI and at home i use the sedu, I like the sedu a lot more. I can even wash my hair at night and let is do whatever it wants and the next morning the sedu can put it right back into style. It's amazing!!! The 1 1/2 inch sedu makes it easier to style and straighten my hair whereas the CHI does straighten my hair but is harder to style it. I do reccomend this straightener the ceramic tourmaline plates do their job, and it is worth the money. let me tell you.

I love this product. I noticed a huge difference between my CHI and The Sedu. The construction is better and i love how it's wider for the thicker texture. I definitely reccomend this product to anyone.

I just recieved this product today and couldn't wait to try it out! I was a little skeptical at firt but I must say that I am very pleased with the results. My hair is very hard to manage. I have very thick frizzy, curly hair and its very long, almost waist length. I've tried many straighteners over the past 6 years and this one by far, is the best! I was amazed at how little time and effort it took me to straighten my hair as well. It's a great buy! You will not be dissapointed!!
Hard to Say....

I had a hard time giving it a rating. i believe the Sedu is more than average, but not completely above average.
-It does not pull your hair at all, and slides right through.
-However, it did NOT cut my straightening time in half, and it actually took the same amount of time to do normally.
- It is very lightweight and easy to use, and you can get close to your scalp. It was such an improvement compared to my clunky conair which pulls and fried my hair.
- The end results : a slight disappointment. Not as straight as everyone had led on and promised it would make your hair. My hair wasn't any shinier, but felt only a tad bit softer. However, it was still straight and managed to pretty much stay that way all day.
- i think next time i will set it to the highest degree.
P.S. - i suggest Folica.com if you're planning on buying a straightener. Their shipping especially, and customer service are fabulous.

My g/f has some massive volume to her hair. My friend recommended this to her and I got it for her as a bday present. She loves it and uses it everytime we go out. Also, the customer service behind the product is right on. For some reason it broke down about 10 months in and folica replaced it.

I am writing this to help those "older" heads of hair that may be wondering if this is worth the price. I ordered this while on a search for the Chi and decided on this one because of reading the reviews. I am so GLAD I did!!! My stylist uses a Chi and I did like those results, but like I said, I read the reviews here and decided on the Sedu. After using it about 2 months, I took it with me to meet my stylist...she had been commenting on the good health of my hair and she could not get over the silkiness and smoothness and she wanted to know what I had been doing. So, I showed her the Sedu. She said of all her clients, my hair was in the best condition. This really impressed me; I am 57 and full of wild gray hair. Too curly to be straight and too straight to be curly. Caught in between. This iron has been the biggest blessing to me; not to forget to mention the fantastic service from Folica!

I PURCHASED THIS STRAIGHTENER AFTER HAVING A CERAMIC HOT TOOLS STRAIGHTENER FOR FOUR YEARS. WITH THE HOT TOOLS STRAIGHTENER I WOULD STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR THEN GET DRESSED AND BY THE TIME I WAS TRYING TO HEAD OUT OF THE DOOR MY HAIR WOULD BE FRIZZY. WITH THIS STRAIGHTENER I ONLY HAVE TO GO OVER MY HAIR ONCE AND IT STAYS FRIZ FREE FOR THE ENTIRE NIGHT. IT ALSO ADDS SHINE FOR AN AMAZING FINISHED LOOK. I LOVE IT AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WITH CURLY HAIR.
The best ....get one!

After purchasing two low priced Conair and Revlon flat irons. I have finally come to realize that more expensive is better. I live in Florida, where humidity rules. After reading all the good reviews for the SEDU iron I decided to try one for myself. It truely lives up to it's reputation.
Although I must say the look of the iron isn't very high end but I guess it doesn't really matter when it gets the job done right. Hair stays straight even in the humidity.
Don't hesitate.....get one, you will not regret it!

OMG! I received my Sedu Flat Iron 2 weeks ago and cannot believe how great it works! I was an avid and loyal fan of the Chi Iron for a few years now and must say that it doesn't hold a candlestick to this Sedu Iron!! I am a sceptic, but was in the market for "something new" and low and behold, took a chance and ordered the Sedu Iron...what a great choice! It makes my unruly, curly thick hair so straight, sleek and healthy! I never thought my curly hair could be so sleek!.I am so gald I ordered it...now I can't wait to wash my hair and style it!
