I absolutely love my Sedu iron! I have naturally straight hair, however, after years of color processing, it became frizzy and dry. It seems I bought every shampoo, conditioner and styling product under the sun for dry/frizzy/processed hair. I used to own one of those drugstore brands hair straighteners which had absolutely no effect on my coarse hair. Not only is the Sedu iron able to tame the frizz, it brings out a beautiful natural shine out of my hair. Now I don't even need to use any specialized shampoos or smoothing products. I wash and dry my hair, and let Sedu do the rest!

I originally wrote a rave review about this flat iron...but I have since changed my mind. The Sedu worked wonderfully in the beginning...but as time wore on, there were technical problems that eventually led to the flat iron short circuiting...and making it impossible to use. The sad thing is...I turned my Mom onto this product, only for hers to do the same. The manufacturers would not replace it, since it was over the year warranty. I was extremely disappointed about this purchase.
BELIEVE the reviews. This really works!

I was expecting to be disappointed, but I definitely wasn't. I was considering cutting my hair out of frustration (it is long, wavy and frizzy and I was getting tired of pony tails), but the Sedu changed my mind. If you are thinking of getting it, get it! It is worth every penny.

I have problems with the cord. I am on my second Sedu in a year in a half and i have to hold it a certain way or it goes off. I have had the same problem with both of them. It get irritating having to stand there and let it heat back up avery couple of minutes. they need to redesign there cord.

I bought Sedu ionic straightener recently, and i already love it. No need to get adjusted to it, its amazing!! I have probably had around a good 5-10 straighteners in my life and im only 16, but this one is amazing. It doesent crack or damage my hair, give it a bad smell, leave it frizzed or dry, or take away the shine. I also have color treated hair and it works great with that. I would deffinetally disregard any bad reviews on this product and just buy it!! it works so well and i did cut my straightening time in half! thanks sedu!!

This is a very good tool. I was not very happy the first time but the second one I decided to increase the setting to a 360 F, the results were excellent. The only thing is that I made a mistake I should have gone for 1" in order to curl and flip your hair. I was not advised about this the 1 1/2 works well for straight hair. Thanks

After debating for about a year, and reading all the reviews, I finally purchased the Sedu and was not disappointed. I have very long curly frizzy hair and always had to go over the hair about 2 or 3 times with my old flat iron even after blow drying it first. I still blow dry it first a little, then I flat iron it. And with this iron, I only went through my hair once! It does goes through the hair smoothly and it didn't pull or snagg my hair. My hair remained straight even during the recent humid weather we just had. I didn't give it the 5 star only because the covering over the plate was to hot to touch, unlike my old one which I was able to touch. Other than that I have no complaints. I have had it for about a month.

I have thick, curyly, frizzy hair that I have to straighten every day because of the frizzy natural curl. I have been straightening it for years with different straighteners, but none compare to the Sedu! It makes my hair so shiney and soft! People can not believe that my hair is naturally frizzy!

I've only owned 2 other straightening irons in my entire life, a big clumsy conair one from 12 years ago, and more recently a gold plated one from Hot Tools. Both did the job but fried my hair in the process. My hair was straight but never soft or silky looking.
This iron is fantastic! It works impeccably for straightening purposes but using it for other little tricks like flipping, tucking or curling is a bit more difficult. Possible, but takes a lot of practice. Also, the iron gets very hot on the outside as well, so watch those fingers.

I luv this product. Originally I had wanted this one and instead purchased the revolution nano and was so unimpressed; tons of snagging.....So within a week I sent it back and ordered this (#1) straightner. I have had not a single snag and couldn't complain. I did a lot of researching in the beginning and had considered a Chi but I am glad I went with this product b/c it is well worth the money!!!!!

I purchased my first Sedu in '05. Two months after the warranty expired, the green light would not stay on and the iron stopped heating up. It worked so well that I went ahead and paid full price for another one. Within six months, the same problem occured. I received a new one under the warranty and it worked fine for eight months. I will not be ordering another Sedu under the last warranty because I am tired of the shipping costs and inconvience when you have to send the iron back. This is a poorly-made iron and I suggest the Solia.

Okay, number one, I have thick, wavy frizzy hair. And finding a iron that can iron my hair so that it stays tamed for more than 30 minutes has been a task. I saw this product, and the THOUSANDS of reviews and a good number of them saying that they had had Chi's before and preferred this over it. I was really intrigued. I really wanted a quality Iron, so I went ahead and bought it. It was only 125, free shipping, and heatproof mat/carrying bag, AND I got a cute little bag too.Its pink and big enough to carry the iron, and all the products you'll need. It works AMAZING! I still can't believe it. I'm really tripping. It really only takes one pass and the difference is stunning. If you want you hair to be soft, smooth and STRAIGHT, this is what you should get. I'm still VERY pumped. I get excited right before I flat iron every time now, because I know that its only gonna take me about 15-20 minutes and my hair is gonna look just like I want it to.

This flat iron is awesome. i can do all of my shoulder length hair in less than ten minutes. it doesn't pull my hair at all and it gets super straight.
