I have extremely curly hair and was very skeptical about how good it really was...but when I used the Sedu for the first time I was so impressed. I've already recommended it to many friends that have also purchased one. It is by far the best straightener I've ever used. It's definitely worth the money! I've had a Wigo and Hot Tools straightener and they don't even compare.

I've used several high-end curling iron ad sraighteners and I must say that this is the best thus far, the design is very good and it's very easy to use but my favorite thing about this one is that the flat plates don't pinch or pull my hair like the Hot Tools iron did. I'm very satisfied with Folica as well, excellent customer service and great prices! Thank you.
I LOVE this flatiron!!!

I purchased my first Sedu almost three years ago and just recently ordered a replacement so that the first one could finally be laid to rest. Not only have I used the daylights out of my two purchases but my sister, my boss and my two nieces have all purchased Sedus based on my recommendations. Absolutely nothing has straightened and smoothed my hair as well as my Sedu -- not to mention giving it a healthy shine. What a wonderful product!!!
Sedu straightens the best!

I've been through so many flat irons that didn't straighten my hair very well, and alot of them actually damaged my hair. After research, I purchased the Sedu iron, and my search for the best flat iron was over! Straightening time decreased from 1 hour to 30 minutes, and my hair looked healthier than ever! After using it for a few years, my Sedu finally broke while vacationing in Europe (it got fried even though I used an electrical converter). I tried to venture out with the newer brands, so I purchased a T3 for about $200. The T3 was a total waste of money, the iron was made of cheap plastic, and it didn't really straighten my hair. I was able to return that flat iron, and bought another Sedu and had some spare change left over. With the new tourmaline technology, my hair looks even better than it did before!

I have had a HAI ceramic hair iron for 4 years and have always thought it did a good job... Recently I noticed it wasn't heating up quite as well and my hair wasn't getting quite as straight as usual, so I decided it was time for a new iron... I have semi-fine curly processed hair... After much research I decided on the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron, and boy am I glad I did!!!... This thing is AWSOME... It gets my hair really straight and in less time than before... My HAI was a 1" plate, I got the 1 1/2 inch Sedu and although it took some getting used to at first, I now love the larger plate... You really can't go wrong w/ this iron, it's really the best!
Works well on wavy hair

The Sedu works fantastically on my wavy/frizzy hair! It only takes me 15 minutes to straighten, whereas it used to take half an hour. After straightening every day for nearly a year with my cheap Conair, my hair started becoming immune to it, but with Sedu my hair looks straght and stays that way all day. However, it worked horribly on my friend who has extremely curly/frizzy hair. It made her hair straight, but also extremely poofy, so she looked like a mad scientist. So the Sedu works great on WAVY hair.

I just finished using my Sedu and I am pleased with the results.I am African American and my hair is very thick. I usually use a marcel flat iron, but wanted to try an electric one and saw the great reviews on the Sedu. I finished flat ironing my hair in less than an hour, it takes much longer for me when i use the marcel iron. If you are looking for a great flat iron, buy the Sedu!

Until 2 days ago, i had a 1" Conair Infiniti. it wasn't a terrible iron, it got my hair pretty strait but it didn't control frizz, it pulled my hair, and the straitness didn't last for more than 1 hour. PLus it took me 45 mins to straighten it.
When I recieved my Sedu in the mail yesterday, I took it out and couldn't help noticing that it was very light and felt cheap. Even so, i used it on my thick, wavy hair right away and i loved it so much. I washed my hair just so i could straighten it again XD I aslo let my mom use it and it only took her 5 minutes to straighten hers! it took me under 20, and my haitr stayed strait all day. I really love this product and i hope it lasts a very long time. My overall evalutation....
Pros: It heats up very fast. There is a flashing green light that tells you exactly when it's ready to use, it doesn't pull, it's fast, and makes your hair appear shiny. It's super light and doesn't tire your arms.
Cons: It doesn't have a grip on the end to clamp your hair. It feels cheap (it isn't, though), plates are very close to the edge so its easier to singe your skin while stragthening.
Conclusion: If you want to spend the money, buy this iron. It's worth it.

Living in Miami there's alot of humidity and this hair iron does really well with not letting my hair get frizzy.Only complaint i have is that the hair iron sometimes makes a noise when i clamp it down nothing serious. My cousin has the same one and hers doesn't make a sound.

I was not happy with any of the products that I have previously used to straighten my hair. I had to go to salon to get sleek straight hair. I recently bought the Sedu Flat Iron. Now, I see the salon results at home. This is really a wonderful product.
Sedu Rocks..Solia is NO Comparison

Hi All, I purchased both Sedu and Solia flat irons approximately two years ago because I wanted to see for myself which one was better. I have thick wavy hair, and hands down Sedu was the best. I never returned Solia out of laziness, and today (over two years down the road) my Sedu has broken and I'm finding myself in need of using Solia as a backup since my precious Sedu is dead rather than cough up another $130 since I have a Solia substitute which I paid money for that already works. My verdict is still that Solia doesn't hold a candle to Sedu. Sedu leaves my hair so much silkier faster (means alot in the morning). Solia hair also doesn't hold up as well in the humidity. So, if you can spend the cash, do yourself a favor and buy Sedu!!! I'm actually thinking of abandoning the Solia altogether even though it works ok (been using it for over a month now). I'm beginning to realize that the savings isnt worth it, just going to shell out for a new Sedu. Hopefully it wins out in the top voting deals thing they are doing on the front page so I can buy it for $70. Vote for #2!!! If you can't afford Sedu, get yourself a $25 Hot Tools. I would even prefer Hot Tools to Solia.
2 years and going strong!

I got my Sedu for my birthday 2 years ago and it still amazes me. I have really fine hair, I have a ton of it and it gets super frizzy. 10 mins with my Sedu in the morning and my hair is smooth and sleek like I just got my hair done at the salon. I will never get rid of my Sedu!

my husband hit the ceiling when he saw a bill for $137 for a hair straightener (it's actually not that much, but he didn't notice there was also a brush in the order.) BUT, i'll tell you, it is worth every penny - one of the best purchases i've made in my life. i'm 45 years old and my once gorgeous blonde wavy hair has gotten mixed with some gray and a little coarse - it's very thick and gets so frizzy in the summer that it spends it's time in a bun or a braid - i had started to think "oh this is why old ladies wear their hair in buns and braids because it gets yucchy like this!"
THEN CAME SEDU!!! - the day after it arrived it was hot and humid - my husband suggested i not bother with trying it. of course, i didn't listen, i was dying to try it out and i did. i had the sleakest, shiniest hair of my entire life, and on the worst hair day. i use it every day now to touch up my hair - it even turns gym hair or tennis hair into something gorgeous in a matter of minutes. i have never loved my hair as much as i do now.
thank you SEDU.

I have wavy hair that is impacted greatly by humididty. I have been using my old flat iron for several years and was never that crazy about the results. My friend convinced me to try this one. It works so much better than my old one. I can straighten my hair much more quickly and it holds much better. I love this flat iron, I wish I had started using it from the get-go.

This is the best flat iron! I previously had a sedu flat iron, but it blew out when I tried to use it in Europe with a voltage converter. I then thought I would try another brand, and bought a FHI, and, it was terrible! It fried my hair,I had to go over my hair a few times to straighten it, and it never left my hair shiny, but rather dull and dry. I went back to the sedu, and my hair is straight, soft and shiny! I have shoulder length, natural wavy hair, that tends to frize. With the sedu, I don't have to put it on the highest temperature, and it does the job. It is light weight, and easy to handle. I highly recommend it, ladies, look no further, you will be happy with a sedu!

I LOVE my new flat iron! I've been using a Vidal Sassoon for about 3 years and it's been OK... then it broke about 2 weeks ago. That gave me incentive to research and purchase a GOOD flat iron. I decided to go with a Sedu because of so many positive ratings. CHI had a lot of negative (hair pulling, etc.) and my stylist also had negatvie comments about the CHI. After using my new flat iron I am so happy with the results! Not only does it straighten my thick, frizzy hair more quickly, it also STAYS straight throughout the day. I'm in love....

My hair normally just has a slight wave to it. Every other flat iron I tried would straighten it, but it always left my hair looking dry/coarse. This Sedu flat iron is the best hair appliance ever! Not only does it completely straighten my hair in one stroke (and the hair never grabs or sticks), it leaves my hair soft and smooth. No more dry hair! If you're like me and have owned multiple flat irons, you'd be crazy not to try this one!
Perfect, except for problems with the cord

I've had the SEDU flat iron for more than two years now and I LOVE it. The only bad thing about it is that the cord seems to be fragile. Make sure you store it in such a way that the cord is gently wrapped around the iron. This is the second Sedu iron I've had (I sent back the first one within a year under my warranty due to the cord problem) and now I have the exact same problem with the current one I have. The problem can get annoying because the iron must be positioned in a certain way for the green light to come back on. A friend told me the wires inside had snapped... so just be careful when you store it and you should be okay.
