The product performs exactly as it is described. My hair becomes shiny, flat and straight every time I use it. It's certainly worth every penny I paid for it.

I'm a hairstylist and my stepdaughter wanted a really good flat iron. I would have normally went and got a CHI turbo. We love the one we have at work. But because the Sedu had such fabulous reviews, I decided to try it. Maybe we would like it for work too. I got it and I let all the girls at work try it. It was mediocre. It was fine for my hair which is kinda fine, but I found it did not get hot enough. My coworkers agreed that it was not that great.I also had problems with the reset button on the plug. I was instantly frustrated and sent it back. I do have to say that it was light and smooth. The 2 year warranty was also appealing.

This straightener was the best that I have ever used, but it suddenly stopped heating up after 7 weeks of use and is no longer working. Luckily I had an older and more reliable straightener at home, so I was able to use that. I would not recommend this straightener since it obviously breaks easily. I simply stored it on my dresser and it was never dropped or used by anyone else, so it obviously isn't well made.
CAN'T LIVE WITH OUT IT!!!!!!!!!

I bought my Sedu about a year ago and it still works like the first time. It is the best flat iron I've ever used. It makes my naturally wavy hair silky, soft, super straight and shiny. I live in Puerto Rico and there is a lot of humidity here and my hair never gets frizzy. I use it once a week and my hair doesn't look damaged at all. I reccomend it to all my friends. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent flat iron. Works perfectly. I have thick frizzy hair and this was perfect on my hair. I used to have chi and I definately prefer sedu.

My hairstylist told me to get a CHI and she would purchase it and sell it to me at her cost so my daughter's hair would not be damaged. Went through two in two years. They are not a good product. My daughter's ends always looked dried, her hair wasn't soft and there were spots that sometimes just never seemed to take. I told her I wasn't spending that amount again on a straightener because they aren't worth it. I went out on your website and read the reviews and decided this was the last one I was buying. It's awesome. Her hair is straight in about half the time as it use to be with the Chi. Her ends and her hair are soft. She loves it and her friends are always using it. She takes it to school to restraighten her hair after soccer practice and they fight over who gets to use it next.
THIS IS THE ONLY STRAIGHTENER TO BUY.

I bought the sedu three years ago and it still works great!! It still leaves my hair straight and shiny all day and always leaves it feeling silky! Although it may take longer to heat up than when I first bought, it still takes no time to straighting my thick, wavy, frizzy hair! This flat iron is a godsend!!

I purchased a flat iron about 10 years ago in high school when stick straight hair just started going into style. The flat iron was meant more for ethnic hair, but even so, I would use it on the highest setting and would get straight (yet poofy) hair after over an hour of doing it. Thus, I only did it occasionally because it wasn't worth the effort. My hair is thick, frizzy, and naturally wavy. After being so sick of never being able to style my hair and always wearing it in a messy pony tail, I purchased this Sedu for my birthday in a last ditch effort to reclaim my hair. I am a no frills person and very wary of spending so much money on a hair styling tool. I got my Sedu a few days ago and I AM IN LOVE!!! I straightened my hair the first night within 15 to 20 minutes, and my Mom and I were in amazement. My hair was so straight, soft, shiny, and NOT POOFY!! I finally got the hair I always wanted, silky and straight. Even in a pony tail it looks awesome! This iron heats up within a minute and I use it on the medium setting...I'm almost scared to try it on the highest because I don't want my hair to melt it's so hot! Definitely buy if you want salon quality, celebrity hair! It's totally worth the money!!!!

I bought the Sedu when it was first introduced years ago. Just recently that iron was left on a vacation. Used a friends new Chi until my Sedu arrived. To me there was no comparison in price, feel, quality, and the shine Sedu gives your hair... Where I live it is very humid and I have extremely unruly hair..Sedu keeps my hair looking straight & shiny with only one styling!! If you want a great iron that not only has a reasonable price & gives you great looking hair it will also last you for YEARS!! I PROMISE YOU'LL LOVE IT!!

I bought the sedu 1.5" flat iron. It is by far the best straightener I have ever used, even better than the Chi. It glides of hair so smoothly and leaves my hair super straight and shiny. I love this straightener!

This is the best flat iron ever! I used to use my mom's Wet 2 Straight, but it started damaging my superfine yet curly hair, so I looked into buying a better iron. After the reviews, i bought it right away! When it came superfast in the mail, i went straight upstairs to use it!! After blow-drying it with a roundbrush, and straightening it, it was a soft as it has ever been, even softer than when my hair dresser does it and she has a CHI. I've had it for about 4 months now and I still love it. No problems yet!!

I bought the Sedu Flat Iron about 2 months ago and have been using it ever since. I am absolutely and completely without a doubt in love with it! Unlike my previous flat iron, this one heats up quickly (under a minute vs. 5 minutes with the old one) & straightens my hair. Amazingly enough, my hair stays super straight and shiny all day! I have coarse, thick hair (not to mention frizzy from all of the Florida humidity) & it still looks great at the end of the day. I cannot say enough positive things about this flat iron!! DEFINITELY WORTH EVERY PENNY!!

When I first saw the price of the Sedu I was VERY skeptical. But after reading some reviews I was convinced that I HAD to get one! OK, i've only owned one other flat iron in my life ($25 Conair) that made my hair look like CRAP!! I just received this today and I've only tried this one but my hair looks sooo pretty and its really silky and shiny too. I never have pretty hair-- its so thick and puffy with a slight wave and frizzy and out of control! But with a few strokes of this little hunk of plastic my hair looks STUNNING! I can't say enough good things, but honestly I'm a little disappointed by the appearance of this-- its made out of grayish-black plastic and looks a little cheapy, but the results are too wonderful for me to care. I guess I'll have to wait to see if it can stand the test of time, but for now, I <3 Sedu!!!!!!!!

just recieved my sedu not too long ago, and i quickly ran to the bathroom to try it out. all i can say is WOW. its amazing, i knew it was good but i didnt expect it to be this good. Its amazing really, i love my hair. its so straight and shiny. love love love it! :)

I have used the Paul Mitchell and the Chi and this flat iron made a believer out of me. I need a relaxer because it's been ten weeks (i'm black) but this iron got my hair so sleek and straight, it looks like i just stepped out of a salon. My hair is shiny and beautiful. I don't think i ever want to get a perm again! I got the dryer too which was okay but this flat iron is to die for. Definitely worth the price.

My girlfriend has a habit of buying every advertised product on the market, so when she told me about the flat iron she used and the price, I was skeptical. Another one of her fads, and for that price...she can keep it. I borrow the flat iron for one night, used it, and purchased it the next day. The Sedu flat iron is phenomenal! It reduces straightening time and leaves your hair feeling naturally straight, silky, and sexy. I have had this flat iron for two years now (I have since bought my daughter one - because she travels often we need our own) and can unequivocably state - THIS PRODUCT IS WELL WORTH EVERY CENT YOU WILL SPEND ON IT! If mine were to break tomorrow (by the way, these flat irons are solid), I would be the first one on this site purchasing a new one the same day. The heat pouch is a nice added extra when you have a teen who has a habit of leaving the heated flat iron on the bathroom counter!

ive been reading review and see some people who say that their straightner lasted only a year and it broke right after...i had this straightner for 3 years believe it or not and its still in perfect condition! you just gotta take care of your straightner really well in order to last longer..... i gotta admit tho that it takes a lil longer to heat up than before.. but its no problem to wait just a few more seconds haha. i have UBER UBER UBER CURLY, THICK, FRIZZY HAIR. and i probably would win the ugliest hair contest haha speaking of which i had my hair permanently straightened more than 7 times so you can imagine how damaged my hair is already... and believe me. thats not the typical hair for an asian haha. but wow ive been using this straightner for 3 years now and it still gives my hair and SOFT, SILKY finish. and leaves my hair really really straight too! but i do suggest that if you want your hair to be silky and straight each time you use the sedu, i suggest you always deep condition your hair before you straighten it.. because although sedu straightens your hair nicely, it can also damage your hair from excessive straightening if you dont take care of it... i always deep condition mine before i straighten it, and it always gives me a very soft, straight, and silky finish to my hair even tho my hair is SEVERELY DAMAGED from all the perming that i did to it... i use the In Depth Wella Treatment... well something like that :D.. it works really well tho, trust me! but yeah i cant live without this straightener! and i LOVELOVELOVE ITTT. if it breaks one day, shoot for sure im gonna buy another one despite the really expensive price O_O.. but i promise you its WORTH IT and you will be EXTREEMMELYY HAPPY with your results :D

I was skeptical about purchasing such an expensive flat iron, but after reading all of the great reviews, I bought it. I have very curly, thin hair that tends to frizz. This iron does leave your hair straight, but it leaves it stick straight. It can make it look damaged. I own a Corioliss iron and this works much better. This iron actually conditions your hair. The Sedu just leaves it flat with no body to it and I feel like it damages your hair. Look into other irons before spending your money on this one. It's too expensive in my opinion. Look into the Corioliss - I bought it on ebay for $50. I wouldn't mind owning the Sedu if I would've paid $40 not $130 for it. I feel like it's not worth all the money. It's really not out of this world like the reviews say. Don't be fooled. Research other irons before you spend your money on this one.

I've used this flat iron for about 3 weeks. I didn't believe the other reviews that said it would keep my hair smooth in the humid weather. My hair KINKS and CURLS when it rains or is foggy, and after using this, my hair will stay looking straight with no frizz ALL DAY LONG in the humid weather! It's really a miracle!
