I purchased this flat iron about a year ago. Thought I should give it a shot after trying a buch of cheap brands. The only thing I have to say is purchase it if you want an iron that is perfect! It's worth every penny! So easy to use, perfect results, easy to clean (just wipe clean with a towel)! I have no complaint about it! I recommend this to everyone!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She loves it and says it is quicker to use than my T3. The results are better as well--I noticed right away.

I just got a new Sedu for Christmas and I love it! I have had lots of different kinds and this is byfar my favorite. I have really curly, thin hair that doesn't normally stay straight, but when I used the Sedu it stayed straight all day. It left my hair silky, smooth, and shiny. It is definately the best straightener I have ever used and I love it. I would definately reccomend it to anyone.

It has been a long time since i have been able to straighten my hair, and nothing seemed to work until i got the Sedu. This has to be one of the best products on the market for thick curly wavy unruly long hair and the Sedu put it right in its place.
My hair comes down to my butt so normally it takes me about 3 1/2 to 4 hours to straighten it by myself. With the Sedu it only took 1 1/2 hours. Big Inprovement!
I love my Sedu and I recommend it to anyone with an intolerable amount of hair. Also, I was very impressed with how easy it was to use.

So, my CHI just stopped working one day, which I see is a recurring problem! I searched around to see if I could find a cheaper CHI online, and then I found the Sedu and read the reviews and I was so intrigued.
I was skeptical because I live in Toronto, Ontario and I figured the shipping and handling would make it really expensive...not true! I paid less than $100 for everything, and it came this morning (I ordered it Monday night --Christmas eve!)! A CHI retails here for $169.99 + tax,,.and my Sedu even came with a free brush and sample of BioSilk!!
I just straightened my hair, and am working on learning to curl it.

I ordered this flat iron for one of my Christmas gifts from my fiance..I read a lot of reviews and talked to a lot of people because I was torn between a Sedu or a Chi..A lot of people said the Chi, but I know that they break easy. I've always used a Hot Tools, but mine broken recently after 4 years.. So I then tried the Sedu and LOVE IT!!!! I just got my hair done Monday, and the girl bleached my hair 4 times to get it platnium..She told me to be careful because my hair was very fragile..I washed it and straightened it today and It is so soft and silky, EVEN THE BLONDE!! I recommended this to my mom and my best friend and they already ordered one..FANTASTIC FLAT IRON. Totally get it.

i really like this straightener. i got it for christmas, i tried it out and it worked like a dream. and it didnt make my bangs look extremely choppy like the other straighteners do.i live in humid weather which thats when the curl turns to frizz and the straightener passed that test. it also didnt burn my hair and smelt fine and kept my ends together and not frayed. my hair also wasnt dry and really really soft and it straightened my hair from root to tip, no waves at the roots! Sedu cut down my straightening time from about 40 minutes to around 20-ish. i figured out how to curl under and flip, but not the full curl yet! but overall its awesome and worth every cent! =)

WOW i got this today for christmas and love it already! i have very hard to straighten curly thick hair and i got it perfectly straight within 25 minutes! the other thing thats fabulous is how its sooo light! which is great cuz my arms dont get tired like they did with my jilbere de paris flat iron. the only thing that i was slightly mad about was that it didnt make my hair all that more shiny.
but i gess thats part my fault because i have alot of damage from other straighteners. anyways, ive never seen my hair so straight like this! its great, and i highly recoment this product,and with a 2 year warrenty, you cant go wrong!!

I recieved my Sedu Ionic Pro Ceramic Flat iron today for a Christmas present and all i have to say is, wow. The plates on this iron are so smooth, and you can't feel the iron ripping or pulling the hair from your head. I used this product on my Mother's hair which is 51 inches long, and it only took 15 minutes to straighten everything to a poker. It normally took 2 hours to straighten her hair with a Remmington Wet 2 Straight when it was dry. Her hair is only wavy! My Grandmother made me do her hair and she can't stop touching it. Thank you Sedu for gorgeous hair!

I was able to use this iron ONCE! the single time that I did use it, it was fantastic. But then the next time I tried to turn it on it wouldn't turn on. I think the reset switch in the plug was broken not the actual iron though. I probably just got one of the duds. I plan on returning it for the same one. On the plus side, I was really shocked and pleased with just how compact and lightweight this iron is.

I did a lot of research before buying this hair straightener. This product had the best reviews, and the most reviews. I am extremely happy with my purchase. It straightens my naturally wavy/thick hair in minutes and lasts until I wash my hair. It costs more than the drugstore brands, but those products don't even come close to performing as well as my Sedu. I'm tossing out my Revlon straightener.

I have frizzy hair that is very dry. When I use this straightener my hair becomes shiny and straight with no frizz. This has made such a difference in my appearance, no more frizz and I live in a very humid climate. Before using this product, my hair always curled up when it was humid. Now I no longer have this problem I love my Sedu.
It works well, but don't waste your money

Don't get me wrong, Sedu works well. It's plenty hot, and it makes my hair silky and smooth without snagging at all. However, I have been through 3 in the past 2 years, and I will never buy this product again. My first one started not being able to retain heat for more than a couple of seconds after about 6 months, so I would have to let it rest after every pass through my hair. It died completely after a year. I didn't want to buy it again, but this site convinced me that it was the best one out there. I bought a second iron and the same problem started within a couple months. I sent it back to Folica.com, and they generously sent me a replacement. Needless to say, my third iron cannot retain heat at all. Bottom line, it's a good straightener, but a horrible investment.

Based on the reviews on this site, I expected a good product. It is definitely better than I believed it would be. It is very light and easy to handle. It heats up almost instantly! The smooth surface is amazing! I love the way it glides over the hair. I have seen much less damage to my fine/thinnish, colored hair. I use it almost daily as does my 14 year old daughter who has gorgeous, thick, naturally wavy, very long hair. The wide range of heat settings allow us to use the lowest possible temp to obtain perfect results. I would recommend this product any time! I hope it lasts a long, long time!

This product heats up in seconds, and doesnt pull or tug at your hair, i can straighten my whole thick haired head in under 8 minutes!

I loved this product when I bought it on October 10th. I wasn't quite as impressed when it just stopped working on December 14th! It's a great product........when it works! I had to return it for an exchange (and the expense of shipping the item back to Folica and including $$ for return postage.)

This product is soooooooooo amazing, it changed my life forever!!! and that of everyone around me, I have already recommended it to 30 people. It makes your hair so sedu-ctive! Sedu that to me one more time! One drawback is the hours of style time I save in the morning is quickly taken up by the time I must spend graciously accepting compliments on my perfectly straight, silky, shiny, manageable hair. The inventor of the Sedu should be nominated for nobel prizes in several categories, including the nobel peace prize. Anyone who does not purchase a Sedu and instead uses those inferior drug store pathetic excuse for a "flat iron" should be cursed with bad hair for the rest of their miserable curly frizzy lives. One warning: Do not iron fake hair!!

OK so I went from a Conair straightener to a Hot Tools Straightener to a Chi to a Remington wet2straight, and now I have a Sedu. The Conair was baaaaad. It barely straightened!!! The Hot Tools was actually pretty good, but the ceramic started 2 chip off, so I ordered a Chi from amazon.com. The CHI was great, but I thought it would have been better. I sold it on eBay. And for the Remington, don't let me go there. HORRIBLE!!
So anyway, I researched straighteners for like 2 weeks. I almost got a T3, or a Solia, or a ghd, but the fab reviews for the Sedu made me buy this awesome one. So I chose the 4-6 day shipping, AND IT CAME IN TWO DAYS!!!!! :) THE OTHER GREAT THING ABOUT FOLICA is that people can write reviews, unlike Ulta. Don't go to ulta go to Folica!!!
I tried out my Sedu as soon as it came. I was so shocked -- i thought that since it was soo freakin light it wouldn't work!! I WAS WRONG. I LOOOOOVE it. It also makes my sidebangs look amazing, unlike my Chi and other straighteners. All my friends complimented me and now want to get a SEdu too! My hair usually takes like 45 mins to an hour to get straight ... this took me like 20-25 mins!! AMAZING!!! God dont even look at any other straighteners...
BUY THIS.
The only complaint I have is that I haven't mastered how to curl yet... but I'll keep trying!!!

best straight iron ever. but if you step on it, it will break. as will the solia. i've had both. stepped on both. oops. now im getting a new one (2008 edition!).
(note: the sedu will make your hair straighter faster than the solia will, although both are great)
