I was dying to get this iron because of all the great reviews so my boyfriend finally got it for christmas..yay so excited. I have to say it does not pull ur hair like the other iron I had from hot tools and revlon, it leaves it looking smooth and shiny, and you can tell the difference once you glide it through your hair. you get what you pay for and if you pay for cheap, ur getting cheap quality in an iron. You hair does not need to be fryed, or pulled. Bottom line it leaves ur hair str8 as a bone, doesn't pull, snag, and leaves ur hair lokking better. What more cud u ask for

I was so happy to have gotten a Sedu for Christmas. I get a lot of compliments on my hair about how healthy it is. I love how I can straighten my hair everyday and I don't notice splits and it shines like ice. I also have color treated hair ( darker color ) so I have to be extra careful on what I do to my hair. My friend who has a CHI has very unhealthy hair. Her hair was just fine at the beginning of the school year, and after months of daily CHI ironing, her hair is brittle, dry, and when you sqeeze it in your hands, it feels like straw and you can hear a little crunch. I get so mad at people on Yahoo! Answers that ask about thje best flat irons, and other people answer with CHI. So I prepared a Sedu answer that includes videos and how to purcase a Sedu on Folica. Thank goodness my answer gets chosen as best answer most of the time. I love my Sedu and would never trade it for anything. Thank you Folica and Sedu for keeping my hair beautiful and healthy!

Before receiving this Sedu as a gift, I used a Chi. It seemed awful when I left my Chi at a hotel and lost it. Then I was given the Sedu-- a brand I'd never heard of, but will always remember! It's fabulous. Much better than my Chi, it straightens my hair faster and my hair stays straight even in humid, rainy weather! It still looks great the next day. I have received many compliments.

It took me some time to make a choice on which flat iron to buy because I knew nothing about them. Folica customer reviews helped me to make my pick. This Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1½")is my first flat iron ever and I love it and depend on it. I have no experience in using a tool like this yet Sedu works for me every time I need it. Now I understand why some customers said that they became addicted to it. I think I am addicted too. It is easy to operate and the hear looks smooth and shiny. So stylish. The plates are comfortable in use. It does not pull hair and glides comfortably. I use appropriate hair products to protect my hair though. Also, in winter the air is dry so hair becomes more static as I flat iron it. There are products that can be used to address this problem. I use a bit of hair conditioner on my palms and smooth it over ironed hair. I have no regrets with my purchase so far. I bought my Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1½") this Christmas (2007) and used it quite a bit. I hope it will have a long run but it is too early to tell. I purchased my Sedu iron with Sedu ultrapower hair dryer as a set and saved a lot of money. It was a good deal. My hair is on the medium to thicker side...but this straightener is GREAT! I used to straighten my hair everyday (I now only do it once or twice a week because I am starting to like my curls!). But this one is the BEST I have had...leaves my hair smooth, silky, straight, and beautiful! I bought the CHI straightener but it does not compare! I rate this Sedu 10x better than the CHI! If your debating on which to buy (I know I did and made the mistake), I say buy the Sedu!

What a great product! After some time researching on which flat iron to purchase my wife for Christmas, I had chosen this make/model. Needless to say my wife was ecstatic. She (and I) are impressed with the little time and effort it takes her to straighten her hair. She has very thick, long hair and it takes her no more than 30 minutes to complete the process. Even with little or no hair treatment it still comes out looking great. I would recommend this product to anyone who has thought of purchasing one for themselves or for someone they know.

I have always had extremely thick, coarse, curly hair. And by curly, I don't mean those beautiful tight curls some girls have, but unruly, loose curls with extra frizz. So, straightening my hair has always been a challenge. Eventually, I decided to order a Chi. However, while I was reading the reviews, I found out about the Sedu and decided to get it instead. I absolutely love it! I have found it works better and faster than a Chi. My roommate has also fallen in love with it, along with half of the girls in my dorm. I totally recommend it!

The Sedu Ionic Flat Iron is the best flat iron I have ever used. It makes my hair look shiny and feel really soft. I feel like it doesn't damage my hair as much, unlike my old flat iron. This flat iron really does curl your hair very well and makes it pin straight as well. It definitely was worth the price.

I purchased a Chi iron last year for my daughter and one year and 4 days after I did it died and the company
(not Frolica) was unwilling to repair or replace it. I was leary to spend over $100 again but I must say my daughter absolutely loves her new Sedu flat iron it straightens her thick hair in no time and doesn't leave it frizzy. I would highly recommend this iron and this company.

I have been using a T3 and I saw the favorable reviews of the Sedu and thought I would try it. I was very unhappy--I had to go over the same section of hair a few times and it still did not get it totally straight. I'm back to my T3 which works fine--they may not last long, but they do straigten.
Get a Sedu you will be happy you did!

Love my Sedu! I am an african american with long past my shoulder brown hair. I do not have a perm. I used to get perms all the time. The amount of damage with perms caused me to swear off straighting products and go natural over 10 years ago. If I wanted straight hair I used a straightening comb. Now with my Sedu I have the option to have straight hair easily. I wash, condition, oil a little and blow dry my hair like normal. Then I use the Sedu flat iron for total time of 30 min tops Quick and easy. My hair stays straight even in humid weather. I am very satisfied with the product. I use the Sedu on my grandkids hair ages 6 and 10.

I got this for my daughters and its works equally well on coarse wavy hair and thick fine hair. It is very comfortable to hold during use. We are very satisfied with the purchase at this time.

I have had several flat irons but this one has the smoothest plate and seals the cuticle of my hair the best with least amount of damage. I am concerned with how long it will last. The last Sedu I had lasted only 8 months before the plug smoked and popped. The working of the reset buttons are a concern to me. I adore my new one but I have to see if there is a common problem with it and my old one with the wiring or if my last ones problem was just a fluke.

I have really thick hair, and I used a cheap old flat iron, and by the end of the day my hair would be curly and frizzy again. So for Christmas, I asked for a new flat iron, and it was between a Chi flat iron and a Sedu flat iron, and after I read the reviews, i really wanted the Sedu. Im really happy with the Sedu, and at the end of the day my hair is still silky and strait. I can even curl my hair with it. I play basketball and after practice or a game i can take my hair down and its still strait. i love this flat iron!!!!!

I read all of the reviews and decided on getting the Sedu. Once I got it I couldn't wait to use it. I used heat protectant and Paul Mitchell Serum on my hair before straightening it. My hair is naturally wavy and a few hours after I used the Sedu it started to wave up again. It also started frizzing up and I hadn't gone outside yet. I don't recommend this. I'm half asian and half african american so my hair is "poofy" but straightens easily and this just didn't do it for me.

When I first used it I saw such a difference in my hair! It was shiny and super straight for the first time. I have gone to salons my whole life and have never had my hair that straight. It was worth every penny!!

I purchased a flat iron for my wife as a present. Before she would set aside an hour to do her hair. This contraption has minimized her time to less than 20 minutes. She now has more time to change her outfits and adjust her make up. We are still late when we go out. But I can't blame it on her hair. Her hair looks great and it is smooth. I am impressed!!
