It took days for me to research and find which product was the best. I went with the sedu. It works great my hair is more manageable and I don't wear a perm. It takes only half the time to style my hair. I am 100% satisfied.

it WORKS. I think the CHI works a little bit better, but it breaks easily. So the Sedu I would think is better. Plus it does an awesome job as well.

This Iron is great, does not pull hair and is soooo fast to do your hair, I swear I have the worst hair ever for dry damaged and extremely curly, unfortunately I have used relaxers so you really don't know how curly it is but you can see the difference the sedu does for me. I LOVE IT. ps. I got a hot tools iron for backup incase my sedu breaks and it does work just as well but it pulls your hair like crazy. "doesnt feel to well on the scalp" and it probably damages my hair more.

the only reason i give it a 4 and not a 5 is becuase it could make my hair a little flatter. also my mom used it on 400 degrees and she has kinda thin hair which wasnt that smart of her so the ends of her hair started to fall out! but she should have only used up to 300. but other than that it still is amazingly straight and VERY soft, silky, and smooth. i have got compliments on it and im only 13. and my hair is naturally puffy/big and a little wavy so i use about 400 degrees. with a regular straightener it used to take me 1 hour and 15 min. to straighten. now it takes anywhere from 25-35 minutes. which is a lot less time to me!! so i love this and it heats up in about 1 minute. and it also keeps my hair pretty straight when i wake up in the morning but i have to go over it for about 10 minutes because i like my hair perfectly straight!! :]] then yeah!! :] so its a great product!
okay this pic was of my hair after about 5 hours being straightened. so it stays that straight. with a little frizzies because my hair is soooo frizzy and i had no product in my hair. :/

Until yesterday, I thought the best invention of the 21st century was Tivo. Yesterday I used my flat iron for the first time and that all changed! If you were like me you were thinking, "I have an iron and it works ok I guess. Do I really want to spend $125?" After reading all the positive reviews I decided to buy it.
I have very thick, wavy hair that normally takes 30 min+ to straighten. With Sedu, it takes 1/2 the time and I don't have to keep going over and over the same section. My hair looks and feels great!
Work some overtime and buy it! You won't be sorry!

The Sedu is one product that is definitely woth more than what it is priced...the Sedu is a miracle! I wouldn't say that I have the hardest hair out there to straighten, but KEEPING my hair straight is a different story. Where I live in Florida it is SOOO humid that I practically needed a miracle to keep my hair straight ALL DAY. The Sedu does the job right. I have used many straighteners before but none can even come close to this one. It is AWESOME! I know that it might seem like a lot of money for some to put out on just one item but trust me, you will not regret it. I don't have ANYTHING negative to say about this product...very good investment.

I DIDNT THINK ANYTHING COULD STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR WITHOUT BURNING IT OR MAKING IT TOTALLY FRIZZY. MY FRIENDS TRIED TO STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR BEFORE AND IT WAS HORRIFING. I LOOKED UP THE BEST HAIR STRAIGHTENER AND FOUND THIS WEBSITE. THANK GOD CAUSE I FOUND A MIRACLE ITEM THAT I CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT. I looove this Sedu flat-iron. It used to take me forever to style my hair in the morning: I have very thick Asian hair and so blow-drying already takes time. By the time I could style it with my curling iron, I've ran out of time. Plus, I used to be scared about using the curling iron because it seems to damage my hair. With Sedu flat-iron, I now style my hair in the morning in 1/2 the time. I can even wash & blow-dry my hair at night and just moisten my hair in the morning ready for Sedu'ing. What's more is that with this flat-iron, I do not even need hair products. My hair just looks shiny, period. I love my Sedu~. Do not be discouraged by the price. It is TOTALLY worth it.

The Sedu 1 1/2 inch flat iron is the best tool I have ever used to straighten my hair. I have very thick, very naturally curly hair. For several years I used the Chi iron on my hair and spent mega bucks on all kinds of salon hair relaxers like Bio Ionics, and Chi. My relaxers have since grown out and I decided to buy a new iron. The Sedu iron makes my hair the smoothest and straightest it has ever been even without any type of hair relaxer. When my hair is wet I put on biosilk's purple glazing gel and a little bit of biosilk silk therapy. I blow dry then flat iron putting a little silk therapy on my ends as I go. I have had several people comment on how healthy my hair looks since I have been using this flat iron. I would definatly recommend buying one of these. It is well worth the money. You won't regret it!!!

Allright so i bought this iron about a week ago and have been using it on JUST my bangs (my hair is curly). Today i woke up and decided i wanted to try something new. Sooo i decided to flat iron it. First i blow dried and then went over it With the sedu. I was so surprised that it straigtened SO fast ! I only had to go over my sections 1-2 and in total it only took me about 15-20 minutes. I recomend this to any/everyone ! Very good buy !!

I have thick, kind of wavy, frizzy hair and this straighten works really well on it. I've used a few other straigteners before like the True Ceramic Pro, that was the best one I've used until I got this one. The Sedu makes my hair really soft and shiny. And I've noticed from other pictures of me that this straightener makes my hair seem thinner than the other straightners did (which I like very much!). The only problem I still seem to be having is fly aways, those darn things never go away no matter what I do! I was hoping they would when I bought the Sedu but for some reason they still won't! Oh well I still love my Sedu and think it is probably the best straightener out there. Also it's not damaging to my hair which is good because I already have damaged hair. I read the reviews by other people and had to get one. If it can make their hair beautiful and frizz free it can do that for mine too. Also my hair holds up pretty well in the humidity and rain. It doesn't fizz up like it used to with my old straighteners. I just love the Sedu and plan on buying another one whenever this one quits working (which I hope won't happen for a long time!)
The first picture is of my hair after I blow dried it and before I straightened it. It doesn't look too bad that way but if I didn't blow dry it would look pretty bad! All frizzy and wavy. Plus I use Pantene Pro-V comb in creme to smooth my hair and frizz-ease so that helps too.
The second picture is of my hair after I straightened it. You can tell it looks thinner and really shiny and pretty (You can't see the flyaways because of the way the picture is but they're there, unfortunately). But my hair looks better than it ever has. I can tell the difference in pictures from the Sedu straightener compared to the other straighteners I've used. I love my Sedu!

i usually just get a walmart kind of flat iron i have had 3 from walmart and now i realize i just should have gotten a sedu...i read like all the reviews and thought i'd give it a shot well i absolutly love it. i have really thick hair and it works really well.i hope that if ur reading this u give it a shot too.

I have long, thick, wavy, color-treated hair so I try to be very careful with styling tools and product. It's really important to me to maintain the health of my hair but I could also never go without the benefits of using a flat iron (shine, softness, texture). This, by far, is the BEST iron I have ever used or owned. (I have used the Chi, T3, and Hai). It does not flatten and thin out my hair as the Chi did. It also seems to be the least damaging. My hair tended to dry out with the T3 and the Hai pulled and snagged the ends. The Sedu is incredible. I wouldn't normally take the time to write this, but I found the reviews quite helpful. Though it took me TOO long to finally make a decision, I did choose the Sedu based off of what I read and I was grateful for the help. Something I discovered that was a bonus--it straightens or curls. So, you can either straighten the hair or flip the iron/ends 180 or 360 degrees and you will get beautiful, flowing, waves/curls. My hair is shiny, it feels healthier than it ever has (I also attribute this to Pureology Hydrate Shampoo/Conditioner) and I am really, very happy with it. I hope this helps!

Totally delighted by my new Sedu Flat Iron, it's awesome! I even let my Mom use it, and she loves it too.
If anyone is interested in getting the best value for money, go for the 1 1/2 inch wide iron, it will be quicker than a narrower model. Also, I would recommend using the Heat Protection Spray advertised on this web-site before using, if you hair is slightly damaged.

So I've had this flat iron since April 2006...being a little over a year. I have not thick, but very curly & long hair. I straighten it everyday, and this flat iron is amazing, and it's great because it always heats up quickly too. I can do my hair in under 30 minutes, whereas with old, cheap flat irons, it would take me 45 min-1 hour. I love this straightener! I couldn't have found a better one. However, just in the past few days, the green power light has been randomly turning off, and I have to keep shaking it or moving the cord a certain way in order for it to turn on again. I'm getting kind of sad because I would totally buy a new one since i love Sedu so much, but i just spent $300 on a new digital camera, so I don't have money for a new flat iron at the moment.
I just wish the warranty lasted for more than just 1 year..

I have frizzy, wavy,dry, latina hair. I discovered flatirons about 5 years ago and have used $50 irons including Gold series flatirons and Hot Tools flatirons which were really drying out my hair making it look really unhealthy. I was in search of the #1 flatiron from actual customers who purchased the product. Thats when I came across 'Sedu'. I admit, I was skeptical...but as soon as I took it out of the box I was amazed at how light-weight it was! I ran it through my hair once..and that was enough to do it! (usually I have to run it through twice or more.) I'm amazed and I've found a new best friend! Girls with out of control frizzy hair...BUY THIS FLATIRON NOW!!

This flatiron is amazing. After I started using it, it seems to have made my hair healthier. It keeps my hair pretty straight in humidity, which is great considering the fact that most flatirons will let your hair curl up within the next ten minutes after flat ironing your hair. It heats up sooo quickly and once you turn it off, it cools down really quickly too. It will get your hair pin straight. It's a really great product.

Basically My Natural Hair Is Very Thick And Curly ! I Have Dyed It And Highlighted It In The Past So It Is A Bit Fragile, But It Isn't Completely Dried Out . My Last Flat Iron Was A Gold N' Hot Ceramic, And It Worked Pretty Good For A Couple Of Months, It Left My Hair Nice And Shiny . It Started To Damage My Hair So I Looked Up Flat Irons On The Net . . . And Came Across The Sedu . I Read All The Pictured Reviews, And Was Convinced To Buy It . It Was Delivered Fast . . I Used It And It Was Ok, And Soon It Enough 2 Days Later It Stopped Working. It Wouldn't Turn On . I Sent It In For A New One And I Was Happy Wit The Results ! I Did Use A Heat Protector And That Did Help Deliver Better Results . Over All I Would Recommend This !

I have very wavy, ethnic hair..and used to be very loyal to CHI straighteners until I tried this. Trust me, its the best straightener out there..
