I had a hard time deciding whether or not to spend the money on this. My previous iron cost around $40. I tell you what though. . . I would buy another one in a second. I can't imagine going a day without this. My hair is really silky and stays straight even after I've been sweating or had my hair in a pony-tale. The kink from the band just falls right out! It is winter, so I can't speak for how it works in humid weather--but I've got high hopes. I'd recommend this product to anyone. SO WORTH IT. Great customer service at this site too.

I had the Chi Turbo to begin with but after a year it stopped holding its heat. I was hesitant about buying the Sedu but I read the reviews on this website so I decided to try it out. I absolutely love it. You can adjust the heat and the plates are skinny enough to just straighten my bangs if I want. I can also leave my hair alone for 2 days without washing it and just straightening it a little bit, which I was never able to do before. I love it!!

Today was my first time using it since it came in the mail! And I absolutely LOVE IT! It made my hair very shiny and and smooth. My hair looks so much healthier

Sedu is an excellent flat iron. The heat control is a plus. The flat iron is easy to handle, great results.
I highly recommend the Sedu. I tried cheaper flat irons - the results cannot compare to the Sedu. I returned the cheaper flat iron. I have traveled with the Sedu - easy to pack. I also recommend Folica.com - product was shipped and received very quickly. Very satisfied.

I had another ceramic flat iron that was recommeded by a salon staff and after trying the Sedu I NEVER used the other one again. As good or better than my sister's Chi iron. Would recommend it to anyone else with my hair type -long, wavy and hard to hold curl...

I bought this item for my girlfriend who sincerely told me she loves having her hair straightened and I personally believe she is stunning when it is that was as well and the sedu flat iron has made her very happy. She told me it is much better than the older flat iron she had and that it heats up in just seconds rather than 15 to 20 minutes. I highly recommend it!

I'm being completely honest when I say that this straightener is one that curly haired individuals cannot live without. I first fell in love with this straightener last year (my freshman year of college) when my now best friend let me use it. I had spent hundreds of dollars in the past on straighteners that not only ripped my hair out, but overall did a poor job. Purchasing one was the best decision i have ever made, my hair always looks perfect and it does the job in half the time. I HIGHLY recommend!!

I think this is a really good iron, although it heats up REALLY hot! like it almost burns my hair...it flattens the way I like, but takes alot of strokes before getting smooth enough to leave the house. I think next time I'd buy a chi, the one i used of my friend's worked alot better.

Tried them all. The price tag was a bit tough to swallow but it lives up to it. Small, fast, and doesn't ever pull your hair. Love it!

This is the third Sedu I've purchased. Wonderful results. Have purchased one for myself and after my daughters tried, they each wanted one too so purchased two more. I've used both the 1" and 1 1/2" depending upon hair length.
If there's a downside - I would say it's in the hinge. One of mine has broken and it couldn't be repaired. I had to purchase another unit. Upon reading reviews I read someone else had the same problem. But I agree with her review - it's still worth it and I wouldn't buy another brand.

I've been using the sedu flat iron for the past 2 months. I have VERY thick hair--in the past I've relied on salons to straighten it. Since I've purchased Sedu I haven't been back to a salon! It does such an excellent job. It leaves my hair shiny and smooth. I know, I sound like an advertisement but I can't help it. It even works on african american hair!

Have nothing more to say, I LOVE IT!!!!! My hair is shiny, streight, soft, and absolutely gorgeous. No need to go to hair salons for a blow dry anymore. Takes 30 minutes with my LONG hair.

I love this straightener. Before my purchase I was concered that it would not get my hair as straight as a salon press because I have 4a and 4b type hair. Ladies you need not worry this straightener does the job and does it well!.

So I ordered this iron only because I was going on vacation and needed it, normally at home I iron my hair with a clothes iron (yes im serious) because every other regular flat iron i've purchased just doesnt do the job and im a complete straight freak - my hair HAS to be perfect..so i bought this because I new i couldnt use a clothes iron when on vacation and let me just say its amazing! it straightens my hair extremely quickly and my only intention was to use it for vacation and use my regular routine but this totally changed my mind, i now use it as opposed to the clothes iron and i LOVE the results. It may seem like alot of money but it's definitely a good investment and I would reccomend it to anyone, it also doesnt pull on your hair when you use it which many irons do it goes through quite smooth, I have to say most of the time i dreaded straightening my hair but this makes me want to do it all the time! I hope my review helps even thought i'm the 23482348 person saying how great it is but i truly love it and love using it !

I've tried every Chi iron and I've even tried FHI; however, hands down, the Sedu tops both. My hair is silky straight and it has shine and bounce. I have thick, long hair. It frizzes easily. Humidity is my enemy. Since I've been using the Sedu, my frizzy hair is a thing of the past. It has my hair looking and feeling like butter. Sedu definitely rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not believe how well this straightens my THICK, CURLY, FRIZZY hair!!! My hair is so straight, and feels very silky and soft when I'm done using it. It is soooo worth the money. I was a little reluctant to spend this much, but I am so glad I did. A very high quality item.

I read many great reviews of this product so I decided to buy it for my wife for Christmas. Well, it came broken and having sat in box until christmas there was no time to get it replaced. After I filled out all the paperwork for an exchange (not a refund mind you) I have still heard nothing from tyher company. I purchased on 11/26/07 returned for replacement on 12/27/07. It's now going into feburary and even though I have written and spoken to people NOTHING has been done to help rectify my problem. This company only wants to get your money for once they have it they wont give it back or replace your product. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
