Amazing! Worth every penny!

I have been flat ironing my hair for years and this straightener blows the rest away (including the Chi). It literally takes one time going over each hair section for it to become perfectly straight, shinny, and smooth. In fact, my hair looks better each time I use it. This tool gets very hot, in a matter of seconds. You can control the temperature. It doesn't pull your hair, its light-weight, well-made, and something I would def. bring with me to a deserted island! ha
Great!

Not good for curling hair

I sent it back, it was too wide to curl my long already straight hair in tighter riglets; wasn't very versatile, and bulky to try and turn. I got the 1" Solia instead (the Sedu counterpart was out of stock)
Great Buy

This flat iron is an excellent buy for it's cheap price. It heats up very quickly and straightens my thick & wavy hair very well. I would recommend it to friends:)
This is Awesome!

This straightner is amazing. It's totally worth the extra money. After reading the other reviews I was skeptical but they are all true. It really does cut your straightening time in half. My hair is wavy and really hard to get straight, but the Sedu makes it so easy.
I bought 2 of them

I liked this so much, I had mine for a week and ended up buying my daughter one also. It use to take me 1 hour to do my hair no it takes about 10 min. Great product and shipping and price were great.
Best I have used (and I've used quite a few)!

As a sister to a cosmetologist, I am always a guinea pig for hair products and tools.
I have tried and owned a number of straightening irons including several of the most expensive Chi irons as well as other professional brands (Cricket, Hot Tools, TIGI). I can honestly say that I have never used a straightening iron that worked so effectively on my hair.
I have a lot of hair, but it is fairly thin. It is prone to breakage and many of the flat irons I've used tug and rip out my hair. The Sedu 1.5" flat iron that I now use has not pulled out a single hair. It glides from root to tip easily. With many other products (even though my hair is relatively thin and fragile) I would have to turn the heat up to the maximum in order for the flat iron to work effectively. With the Sedu, I am able to keep it at a lower temperature, which I am sure is more healthy for my fragile hair.
If you are used to straightening with a Chi (as I was), I had grown accustomed to "pulling" as I put the iron through my hair. It often would snag near the tips of my hair. With the Sedu, I just glide it through my hair and it easily smooths over my ends. I haven't noticed any real difference in how quickly the Sedu straightens my hair vs. Chi products, but I have noticed that using the Sedu makes my hair sleeker, more resistant to moisture, and tangle free.
While it is not necessarily as flashy or cute as other flat irons on the market, it really does a bang-up job, and I couldn't recommend it more!
Really Works!

I have permed my hair but it turned out to really ugly frizzy perm. I couldn't go back to hair salon to re-do my hair. To save some money, I decided to purchase the Sedu Ionic Flat iron. This really works!!! One thing I like the most is that When I use it, I don't have to wet my hair. My hair turns into really straight and silky.
Straightens beautifully!

I really love this flat iron! I have very curly hair and have always had difficulty finding a flat iron that straightens w/out frizzing. This flat iron makes my hair smooth and soft. I did have some difficulty w/ the flat iron dying w/in a year from purchase. Folica was great about honoring the warrenty, however, I did have to pay to ship it back and I also paid "processing fee". The total was around $15. They sent me a new flat iron fairly quickly. I hope it doesn't happen again b/c I truly can't use any other flat iron!

I tried my daughter-in-law's and had to have one. My hair is fine and frizzy and it stays smooth all day, no matter what the weather. I don't even have to do it in layers; takes no time.
No more $25-$30 at the hair salon...

My fiance was spending $25-$30 per visit at the hair salon to have her beautiful hair straightened. I purchased this product for her and the both of us could not be happier about it's performance. This item is worth every dollar including the upgrade in shipping I had to pay to have it shipped to Puerto Rico in a timely manner. Her hair looks even better than after a visit to the salon. Very very happy with this product. Great price also....I have seen other straighteners here for close to $200.00.

Sedu - BEST PRODUCT EVER!

I have tried several garden variety flat irons from Walmart/Target that were under $100. I had tried a flat iron in the mall that was ionic/ceramic and was SO impressed with the quality; however, the price tag was steep. It has been 2 years and I finally broke down and purchased the Sedu based on internet reviews of the product. THE SEDU IS THE BEST FLATIRON I HAVE USED! Even on rainy, humid days my hair remained STRAIGHT without even the slightest curl! I am so impressed! Well worth the $ spent.
This product also works FANTASTIC on my daughter's very long semi-wavy hair - it stays STRAIGHT all day long even through school and playing on the playground! It even performs well on her wet hair when little time is available!
Going on my second Sedu!!! =)

I've had my Sedu for 4 years already and it stopped working about a week ago =( (it's had it's share of drops and I've used it 2-3 times a week) I've used just about every iron from conair to revlon (the cheap ones, dont waste your time), I had the Solia, my mom has the CHI and honestly I'd pick the Sedu over them any day. My hair is long, wavy, and very frizzy I use the 1'1/2" and I finish my hair in 30 min. It always gives me great results. I've done my cousins hair and shes half black and she claimed her hair hadn't been that straight since she got it relaxed. My friends borrow it all the time and I've gotten alot of them to switch their irons. I think I should get some type of comission for that =P. I thought about trying the GHD mainly just because I've heard good things about it and because its pink but the price is ridiculous I didn't want to spend twice the money. Plus I dont think I could get my hair any straighter than how the sedu leaves it, it leaves me looking like I have oriental straight hair.
Its pretty good

I had the chi for about 2 years and then it went bad on me , it wouldn't heat up unless i held in a certain position so i was going to order another chi but instead ended up ordering sedu after reading the reviews. I have to say i am happy with the way it straightens , it's pretty good! I think the results are the same as chi and i have just gotten it so lets see how it works out.
loved it

Doesn't cut your hair time in half, but it is faster and more efficient. My hair is much healthier, softer and silkier. Heats up really fast, although not as fast as claimed. Worth the price for sure.

I'm trying to figure out why this particular flat iron has such great reviews. I thought it was average. It did straighten my frizzy, curly hair but I noticed some damage to my hair right afterwards, even after putting on a couple hair protecting products specifically for flat ironing hair... (both were quality CHI products).

I purchased the sedu after my chi needed replacing. I'd had it for several years, so I just wanted to try something different. I am not disappointed! I love it! It cut my hairstyling time in half and my hair stays super straight all day... my hair is curly and very prone to frizzing. I highly recommend the sedu.
Love It

A co-worker has this iron and I tried hers. I was amazed of how simple and fantastic this iron is. I love it. And my friends tell me how shiny my hair looks after using the iron.
