I have to say that I was skeptical when I purchased this product. I have very thick, wavy, long hair and have tried many products in the past. Nothing compares to the Sedu. It makes my hair so straight and shiny that people ask me how I was able to make my hair look the way that it did. If you are looking for a "salon" quality straightener, this is it. I don't have to go to my hair dresser anymore for straight hair.

Comparable or better than CHI, heats fast, straightens quickly. No fly aways. Would reccommend.

I purchased the Sedu hair straightener for my daughter as a surprise for her 12th birthday. She had another straightener that pulled at her hair and took 30 minutes or more to do its job ($25 or so at Target). I researched straighteners on the web and decided that it was worth the money if this straightener delivered as promised. Well, it did! Her hair looks fantastic and takes only minutes to straighten each morning. She loves it! She also straightened her best friend's hair (which is much thicker, wavier, and longer than my daughter's)- and it turned out SO BEAUTIFULLY, that that child's mother just surprised her with one as well.
You will be thrilled with this straightener!!!

Great! It work better than my previous flat iron which was more mmoney. This flat iron is faster and leaves your hair smoother. I am very happy with the results.

The quality of this flat iron is great. The iron makes your hair straight very quickly. I was a bit hesitant about spending a lot of $$$ on it, but now I'm so glad I did.

I have been a big fan of the Chi iron for quite some time now. After a while I stopped using it and decided to sell it to a friend of mine. Shortly after I did so, I regretted not having a straightening iron anymore so I came online to research new ones and see if one had outdone the Chi. I found it! Ladies, the Sedu iron really is amazing and I only have to run in over my hair once and it's perfectly flat! I used it on my sister's natural spiral curly hair and wow, I am MORE than impressed. Very well worth the money, get it!

This is a great product. I am now a firm believer that the drug store products only do about a 1/4 of the job that professional products do. I had one of the "other" products
don't waste your time or your money. Invest in a good quality iron like this one and you will cut your straightening time in half, besides giving you GREAT results!!! And I can even straighten my hair after I've let it dry curly!!! I am amazed and in love with this flat iron. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

i read the hype on this iron and i was desperate: the ones i have used before didnt really work good and would tear my hair....so i figured i would try this one and return it if it didn't live up to the hype....
....well it DID and i absolutely love it! i do wish the plate was longer, but its such a great flat iron that you forgive that! i have long naturally wavy hair and you wouldnt know it PLUS it really does leave a shine...i have rec'd more compliments on my hair then before...its worth the purchase!

I received my Sedu yesterday and couldn't wait to try it. It got hot as soon I had plugged it in (5-10 seconds). It got my hair really straight (natural, African American, tight curly hair), but as far as how long it took me well...different strokes for different folks. My hair is really thick so it still took me 25-30 minutes, but believe me that is good! I just have to live with the fact that my hair takes a long time to straighten, but the Sedu did it's job. My sister thought I had permed my hair! "Never that", I told her!

This product is great. We have both in our house the Chi and this Sedu. They both work great but both of my daughters like the way this one works better. They say it does the hair faster and the hair is much softer and straighter. I have bought many flat irons my daughters are 17 & 14 it is like a daily ritual with them both. We have tried the store brands many different kinds and I have to say you should spend more money on a professional one because it does take better care of your hair. I have seen this from experience. After my daughter lost a chunk of her hair from the store brands. Like I said the chi and the Sedu both work good but they both like the way the SEDU works better.
Well worth the money!!

This product is wonderful! Best investment in my hair, and I'm a product junkie!I would definitely not only buy this product again, I would recommend it to anyone who wants silky shiny straight hair. It's very fast and doesn't seem to damage my hair at all.

I cannot believe how light weight this iron is. As a former Chi user, this iron is vastly superior. Highly recommend the Sedu and purchasing through folica.com.

This straightner worked pretty well, but from all of the reviews I have to say that I expected a little bit more. It works just as well as any other straightner I've owned, and I didn't see a big difference in the results.

I have extremely unruly, curly and frizzy hair. It has become even worse now that it is longer. The Sedu ionic flat iron is hot and efficient and has improved the quality of straightening and reduced the time spent. Although, it has a somewhat drying effect on the hair, I think that is a pitfall with ALL straightening irons that operate at high temperatures. It is advisable to invest in routine deep conditioning sessions and regular thermal protection products. So far, I am very satisfied with the product. I sincerely hope that it does not disappoint me by breaking down in the future.

I loved this iron as far as how great it makes my hair look, but after a year it got a short or something...It will only heat up now if I wiggle the cord around and look to see the light come on...now while I'm using it, it blinks off and cools off while I'm trying to straighten my hair

The Sedu flat iron is great! I have longer hair so I chose the 1 1/2 inch and it was the perfect choice. My hair straightens faster so there is less damage and it stays smooth all day long. I love that the temperature is adjustable for fine hair to very coarse hair. It's a great product!

So far, I am extremely happy with the Sedu. I have previously bought Chi's but have had cord and switch problems with them. The Sedu has a 3 year warranty which is reassuring. My hair looks shinier and stays straight longer with this product.
