Just as I expected it to be! It heats up fast and makes my hair very soft, and it is the first flat iron i've ever tried that allows me to straighten my hair after air drying. The only problem is it takes longer to straighten when it is air dried than when it has been blow dried, but...it is also softer, shinier and less frizzy when dried naturally than when i blow dry before i straighten it!! It is also better to air dry & straighten the same day as to air drying before i go to sleep and straightening in the morning, b/c i still get the bed head look. So if you have enough time, don't blow dry beforehand! I love it, and just as many others have said, it is definately worth the money! =) Also, quick delivery!

I've been through so many flat irons, until I saw the pages and pages of reviews for the Sedu iron! It's definitely worth every penny! My hair turns out PERFECT! I LOVE IT! I recommend this to EVERYONE. The BEST BEST iron!

I have long curly hair that I straighten once in a while, but in the past, it always took a long time and I could never completely remove the frizz from the ends of my hair. Previously, I borrowed a friend's flat iron and have tried the Hai Stik and the Chi Turbo. Both worked okay. Recently I decided to purchase a flat iron for myself. After reading the reviews, I bought the Sedu. It works great! My hair has never been straighter or smoother. And it took less time than other irons, just like the ad said. What I noticed is that my ends were much smoother and less frizzier than they have been with other flat irons. Definitely worth the money.

If you are looking for a flat iron and are considering the Sedu, look no further. It is simply the best flatiron money can buy and is not even the most expensive one on the market.
I have never been so grateful to have broken anything in my life... because if my old flatiron had not died on me, I would not have the Sedu, aka any girl's best friend! It straightens your hair unbelieveably fast and has stunning results. No frying, pulling, tangling or crispiness you would expect from a flatiron. My hair is full of movement, silky, and stick straight. The heat up time is excellent too, it really is less than 25 seconds. For once, a product that not only meets but exceeds all the expectations of its consumers. If I could, I would buy them all and give them to my friends. Like everyone else said, it was the best $100 I have ever spent and I couldn't be more pleased. Hope this helps!

I read reviews on flat irons for hours before I decided on the sudu. I was not dissappointed. This flat iron really staightens great. I just got it and then took it with me on a cruise to the Caribbean where it was humid and my hair stayed straight the whole trip. I don't think I'll be using it every day now that I'm home because I have fine hair and I think my hair needs to take a break from the heat and I only kept the temperature at about 160 degrees. The flat iron is slim so it reaches the hair close to my head well. I have a short bob so its hard to even get a brush to hold the shorter hair on the back of my head.I would highly recommend the sedu iron, it is well worth the money!!! It has changed my life! No more bad hair days unless I'm to lazy to use it. It also straightens a lot faster than my last cheapo Conair one. I only takes one swipe to get it stick straight!

Love it... I recently had the Chi but that broke just like all the rest, and was a bit skeptical on how this would work and You know what I couldn't have made a better choice. I love it!
I think its faster than the chi and it has different temp. My hair is thick, and frizzy and course... with the sedu- it makes my hair shiny and straight... love it.

this makes my hair 4 times silkier, flatter and straighter than the 2 inch chi turbo did. unlike the chi, this doesn't pull my hair. it heats up just as fast, but i know it works better than chi because my hair is still HOT a few more seconds after putting it through this iron. my hair stays completely straight for 2 days without having to restraighten it. my hair is also healthier and breaks less compared to when using the chi. i love it and will never go back to anything else!!!

OK, I admit, I haven't tried every single flat iron, but I've tried enough (especially of the cheaper versions) to know that this one is sensational.
As you can see, I have extremely frizzy white hair. I've fought it all my life. The Sedu is quite simply a miracle. For me, it's not so much that I don't like my curly hair, but flat ironing it allows me to go for a week without having to fool with my hair! The time I save is amazing. I washed my hair every single day for 30 years because if I didn't, the curls would fall out in some parts, flatten in others and frizz in others. The only way to control it was to wet it down every day, then pile on the product. Now, once a week, I wash and condition, then flat iron it. Does my hair flatten out during the week? Sure! But that's fine with me. For someone who has spent hours dealing with her hair, a little flat is perfect.

Hi everybody!! I bought this about a month ago and I totally love it. It definitely keeps my hair straight longer than my old one, and my hair is shinier and healthier than before. I have to admit, it was pretty expensive for a flat iron, but I think it was worth it. I share it with my sister, and she loves it too. So if you are deciding which flat iron to buy, this is the one!!

This is a GRRRRRREAT product! I must admit I was a little skeptical looking at it when it first arrived in the mail yesterday. I honestly didn't think such a small and lightweight product could really make a difference in my hair like others had claimed it did to theirs but as soon as I used I was AMAZED. It did just what other reviewers said it would: it straightened my frizzy, color treated hair, and made it so soft and shiny you'd think I got it professionally done. I would definitely reccommend this to anyone who's sick & tired of looking for that "perfect starightner".

After recently having my WIGO iron crisp and smoke part of my bangs, I reluctantly decided to give yet another iron a try. Am I glad I did. The SEDU 1 1/2 inch ceramic is amazing! My hair is soooo soft and touchable (except for the crispy spot in front). It even helps smooth out the fried part (to my delight). I have friends with the Chi iron that will very probably convert to this little miracle. It is very lightweight and easy to use. So glad I gave the SEDU a try. I am converted for good! Cudos to the SEDU folks!

Need I say more. This is the best out there and better than the Chi I thought.
Make sure to always use some sort of sealing cream or gel. I use Biosilkk or Rusk Lusterizer Deep Shine. Otherwise your gonna fry your hair every day and you will cause this one gets really hot

Let me begin by saying that I am more than satisfied and impressed.
I bought this straightner after being bored one afternoon, coming upon this website, and reading everyone's reviews on the sedu. I had been thinking about purchasing a CHI because my roomate here in college has it and it worked amazing in my hair. Both of my parents are Pakistani so I have extremely thick and coarse hair. One of my guy friends even told me that my hair felt like bamboo sticks once! I have also grown it out so that it is down my back. My first straightner was a conair one. It was horrible. I dont think I properly used it a single time. The second one I got was Revlon. Compared to the Conair, I couldn't believe how amazing it was. It however died approximately 8 months after I purchased it. My mother got me the vidal sasoon straightner that also has the steam heating option. It was HORRIBLE. It never straigtened my hair well, and it took hours to do so. My friend donated me her Hot Tools straightner, and once again, I was really impressed with how fast and and nice my hair came out with it. My hair always got caught in it, and after using my roomate's CHI, each time I used it, I could literally feel like as if my hair was getting damaged by it. I came upon this website, read the reviews for the SEDU and decided to buy it rather than the CHI. Ordering was easy, shipping was free, and it got here in 4 days. SO SO SO impressed!!!!!
When I used it, my hair literally turned into silk. I didn't even blow dry my hair. It's been 3 weeks now since iv had it and I have decided that it works best after blow drying hair (just so that its somewhat straight anad the curl is out- it looks like a fro at this point). I then use the sedu, and within 10 minutes (compared to hours before, perfect for a college student!), my hair looks like the way I always wanted it to look. Not once has my hair snagged, despite the hot setting, I dont feel like its burning my hair like the Hot Tools did. It amazing. Iv started getting compliments on my hair by everyone. My roomate that has the CHI really likes it as well. All of my Arab girl friends who have thick dark curly hair, are thinking about purchsing a Sedu for themselves. I think the best combination to having FABULOUS moviestar/shampoo commercial hair is the SEDU and Tex shine & frizz repair drops (availale at most salons for 15 dollars or so). :) If you identify with any of this, order this thing- trust me u will never be so grateful.

This is the best flat iron ever. I have used the CHI, the HAI, just to name a few of the better ones.
I received my Sedu today and used it immediately. My hair is softer and shinier than it has ever been just after one time. I have very fine hair that is frizzy if I do not use a flat iron. I live in Mississippi where it is humid 75% of the year and sometimes even more. I think this is going to be the last flat iron I have to buy. I hope my hair stays as straight and silky as it is now, when the humidity is at its high.
I would recommend to anyone out there that is researching the many flat irons to stop here and get the Sedu. You will not be disappointed!!!!

This is my 2nd week with my Sedu and I'm very happy with it. I gave it 5 stars because it gets the job done as promised. Its very light-weight and glides smoothly down my hair. However, I must say that you should be careful with the temperature settings. This is not aimed specifically at this iron, but the Sedu does reach a very high temp. I have wavy hair that has been slightly dryed and damaged due to everyday heat styling and setting my Sedu any higher than 170 makes my hair feel dry and brittle. My hair does stay straight much better compared to my old jilbere, and also straightens in about 10 minutes as opposed to 15 or 20 minutes with the jilbere. My roomate has a Chi and it takes her longer to straighten her hair even on a higher setting. Also her Chi is not smooth gliding as mine. I'm happy with my Sedu and I know you will be too--just be careful not to burn your hair on a high setting!

My sedu does an excellent job of straightening my very thick and curly African-American hair. It has really smooth plates, so it doesn't pull my hair like the chi iron. I just got it a few weeks ago, so we'll see how long it lasts.

The Sedu flat iron is amazing! I seriously have the worst hair in America and I have tried everything to tame it. Buying this flat iron was my best move so far. The iron gets extremely hot very quickly and it makes doing my hair a fun, quick, and enjoyable experience. I would suggest this product to any and everybody. I used to have the Chi before this and it did not work nearly as well.
