I love it! It straightens and smooths my hair in a matter of minutes,and whats even better its stays that way all day! That was the true test.. Anytime I used other flat irons, my hair would be frizzy and curly in a couple of hours, especially if it was the slightest bit humid out. Dont waste your money on all of the cheaper brands!! This one really works!!

So far, so good. The Sedu arrived in about 5 days. I've used it a few times and my hair is STRAIGHT, just like when I've had my hair done at the hairstylist. It doesn't smell (like burnt hair) when I'm done either. It relatively fast (10 min.) to straighten and lasts all day even in this humidity. So far it's amazing!

I could not believe how well this iron straightened my very thick curly hair - and in about 20 minutes ! Even when my hair was chemically straightened I still had to blow it dry fo over AN HOUR AND A HALF !! I wash my hair at night and then in the am when it is totally dry, iron it. It looks great. I have A LOT of hair and this iron gets the job done - everyone thought I had been tot he hairdresser !!
My only complaint is that I have to go over the ends a few times to get them straight which can't be that healthy for them. I also note that I had the iron the day after I ordred it here on folica - with free shipping !!

This flat iron has replaced my hair dryer ... Now I just wash my hair at night, let it dry with all its kinks and frizziness and once it is dry I run the flat iron over my hair. It takes me about 10 minutes! Much faster and quieter (don't wake up sleeping babies).

I have really difficult hair to straighten and to keep straight. This iron literally takes my very curly hair to perfectly straight in less than 5 minutes. It is unreal and no I am not exaggerating. I can brush out my already dry curly hair and straighten it perfectly than 5 minutes. Imagine that--wear your hair curly one day--wake up the next morning and wear it straight in about the same amount of time it takes to put it up in a french twist.
Finally an iron that lives up to the hype!!!!!

This flat iron is awesome! I just got it over the weekend and am still amazed how well it works. I have really thick wavy hair that does becomes puffy w/ a hint of humidity. After using this iron, puffiness is not an issue. It leaves my hair silky and smooth. I've used a conair straightener for years along w/ blow-drying straight. It never gave me the results like the Sedu does (in half the time). My stylist has used on Chi on my hair w/ great results but after reading the reviews on how it often it breaks, I went w/ the Sedu. But you have to be careful because it does get very hot very fast. I would recommend this to anyone who is willing to shell out the dough. But when you think about all the the money one spends over time on the products that don't work, this is chump change. I wish I would have known about this sooner.

I love my Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1-1/2"). It straightens my hair in no time and eliminates frizzies. I no longer have to blowdry my hair straight, which took 20 to 30 minutes. Now I'm ready to go in about 10 minutes. It's easy to use and gives you optional temperature settings. If you're looking for a flat iron, this is it! It's worth the money.

I research many products before I buy, especially if the purchase will equal an investment. We'll while researching flat irons I came across the Sedu product and was a bit skeptical regarding it's "praised" performance; until I purchased and used it for myself.
As an african american woman who is very sensitive when it comes to hair care, especially mine. I needed proof! After using the Sedu flat iron several times I am constantly amazed at the results. My boyfriend even commented that I should not return to my hair stylist, but continue to do my own hair because it looked better.
Nevertheless, Sedu is the iron for me. I've recommended it to so many of my friends. It is worth every cent!!!!

I have very thick, curly hair which I have been getting professionally relaxed for years now. Even then, I never got that smooth, pin straight look that all us women with uncontrollable hair wish for.
Until I got this Sedu (1 1/2"). FINALLY...STRAIGHT HAIR!!! I love this flat iron and wish I had come across it years ago!! It heats up incredibly fast, is very easy to use and gets AWESOME results in minutes. I have owned it about a week and have spent only five minutes doing my shoulder length hair with wonderful results. I have been told if I want to section off my hair and go thru it slowly I could get my hair straight and flat as a pancake (I got really thick hair!) but I haven't had time or the inclination yet. Actually, people at work noticed the difference and I have gotten more compliments in the last few days then in years of chemical straightening. This is the hair I've wanted for most of my life!!
It's worth every penny, buy it and you will not regret it for a minute. Do invest in some Biosilk Silk Therapy to use with the iron...although without it it looked good but I use it every morning!

I have got to be a pro when it comes to flat irons. My hair is very thick,course and curley. I have purchased many flat irons and none of them came close to this one. It is light weight and heats up in an instant. It has cut my hair straightening time in half. My hair comes out beautiful and shiney. Dont skimp when it comes to a flat iron. You get what you pay for and this iron is worth the price ten times over!!!!!!

The Sedu is absolutely amazing. It works wonders on my hair and it doesnt make it frizz. Plus it stays straight untill you wash it. I used to wear my hair up every single day. Now it's down all the time. If you are getting a flat iron, you must get this one. It is the absolute best.

I've had many flat irons, and my last one was Paul Michell but it was burning my hair, especially the ends and I hated it. I tried to return it but they didn't let me and they told me that it's not the iron, it's me that doesn't know how to use it!! Not true, because I start straightning my hair since sophmore year, and I have experience...so anyway Sedu is REALLY a professional flat iron and the money is worth it. If you want to have the perfect straight, soft and silky hair you should try it.

If you are looking for an excellent iron this is the one to get. The Sedu iron leaves your hair silky smooth, shiny and straight. I didn't want to write a review until I was sure the Sedu was great. I thought it was too good to be true that it was working so well for me when I first bought it. It's so great my hair is still straight the next day after I've used it. I have medium length hair with medium thickness and it works great. My mom has longer coarser hair and its still great.
I've tried the Chi and other expensive irons, but they just do not compare to this one. You'll know what I mean when you get it.
Finally, it's also very light and it doesn't pull your hair when you're a the tip of your hair. The iron glides!

I've put off buying an expensive iron for several years, then I read all of the great reviews on the Sedu. I'm only sorry that I waited so long! My daughter is a curly girl and my son and I are not only curly, but poufy. (I call it big Georgia hair.) As much as we love our curly hair, some days, we'd love to have the slick, silky, shiny hair without all that body. Blow dryers only make curly hair straight and huge. Even in the humidity of North Carolina, the Sedu flattens our big hair for a lasting silky, shiny straight experience. We love it!

I received my Sedu flat iron a week ago and I absolutely love it. I've always had coarse, wavy, thick hair and for the first time, I now have soft, shiny hair that actually blows in the wind! I'd been using a moderately priced flat iron for about six months. It did an adequate job of straightening, but the difference between that one and the Sedu is amazing. Even the ends of my hair feel good now and it doesn't look dry and straw-like anymore. The Sedu flat iron is light as a feather and works like a dream. I would recommend it to anyone!! I'm thrilled.

I am truly amazed with this product. I have very frizzy, wavy, & curly hair and used to spend 2 hours straightening it (1Hr. drying w/roll brush, 1 Hr. with flat iron). I just used the Sedu for the 1st time with my hair curly (didn't blow it out) and it completely straightened after passing it over my hair the 1st time. It was well worth the investment and has completely changed my life.

I am very, very pleased with this product. You will not need to perm your hair anymore after you begin using it. My hair is not dry or brittle, only very soft and very manageable. No breakage occurred when I used it. The design makes it very comfortable to use.
This unit costs a little more than others on the market, but it is the best and worth every penny!!

When my daughter went to visit her cousin away at college and used one of HER friend's 1 1/2" Sedu straighteners and fell in love with it I knew we both had to get one. She came home from her trip and the first thing she told me was that she found a straightener that REALLY WORKS AND.... it made it so her hair was soft, smooth, and straight ALL DAY! Our hair is naturally course and mine is EXTREMELY curly. I purchased two, one for her and one for me (as she is at college) and I must say - It's a MIRACLE! I cannot believe how FAST I was able to straighten my hair (about 1/3 to 1/2 the normal time)! I used my Sedu the first time just after I washed and dried my hair and NORMALLY, after spending nearly 45 minutes to straighten my hair, my hair would still be a little fuzzy and bulky, not flat and smooth. The 1 1/2" Sedu Flat Iron made my hair silky, smooth, flat, PERFECT for the first time since visiting the salon last. Now I can have hair salon results in my own home! THANK YOU Sedu!
