This straightener is like no other one out there! I've used all my friends' CHIs but they don't compare to the Sedu! My hair is left so silky and it only takes one stroke! Easy to grip, and it doesn't pull my hair at all. Leaves hair shiny and smoothe. Don't bother with the Chi that breaks and isn't as nearly as good as the Sedu!

I was very impressed with this flat iron. The iron heated up very quickly. It glided through my hair very smoothly and I only had to go through the hair one time with wonderful results. I have very think, very long hair and it really cut back on the usual straightening time.

This little dude is super light and "tight" is the word I'd use for how it leaves my hair. Straight, soft, shiny, I really have been transformed by this little gadget. I'm pregnant with my third and don't have time to do my hair. I've worn it in a ponytail for 30 years and had a conair straightener for the last five years which helped calm my frizzy thick mane a tiny bit. But with the sedu, I can wear my hair down and it doesn't BOTHER me. I have SUPER SUPER thick hair, just slightly wavy, more so in humidity, and no matter what a stylist does, it seems to grow into my face and will not get out of my way. The sedu calms it SO much, that it feels lighter, I can wear it behind my ear, and I am truly a transformed woman over this-others have wanted to see my real hair for years. By the way-it heats instantly and straightens with one swipe. So if you have super thick hair, don't worry, it will be done in about 3 minutes max.

I have used my new flat iron a couple of times and I think it is the best product that I have purchased to date. I have used and purchased several flat irons and this is the first one that has completely straightened my hair. I even notice that when it is humid outside, my hair stays straight. With other flat irons it would puff up.
The best comment I have received from using the flat iron was from my roomate who said, "Wow that straight iron works really well. It looks like you are one of those girls that have stick straight hair." My hair is thick and curly, so that comment just shows you how well it works.

After discovering the Sedu, I will NEVER go back to using the CHI. This flat iron is worth the money it costs! My hair is so straight in such a short time because of the SEDU! it usually takes me like 30 minutes to straighten my hair with the CHI. The SEDU takes no more than 10 minutes! I love it!
I'll never go back to the CHI. The Sedu rocks!

I purchased the Sedu after reading several reviews and was convinced by the reviews that this was the product to purchase. I have not been disappointed! I purchased the product to use on my 12 year old daughter who has extremely thick, curly, unruly hair. My daughter is ectastic. She feels and looks like a new person! A friend of mine owns a Chi, but the Sedu out-performs the Chi in every way! Your customer service is excellent. I ordered the Sedu on Monday and was using it on Wednesday. I would highly recommend this product to anyone skeptical about flatirons.

I have long, thick, curly hair. It took a little less time to straighten it than with regular irons (about 45 min instead of an hour) but I honestly didn't see a difference. It worked exactly like the $20 ones at walgreens/CVS. It still made my hair look a little fried even though when i get it done @ the salon i come out looking like i just did a pantene commercial so my hair isnt dry or damaged. I was very disappointed and sent it back. But you never know, maybe it'll work on your hair. If you dont like it you can always send it back (but YOU have to pay shipping charges).

I just purchased this iron and was very impressed how light weight and convenient it is. Heats up in <30 seconds and has cut my straightening time to 4 minutes. No grabbing of the hair - I just love it. Folica is great too, shipped it standard and recieved it two days later!

to start with, i would love to be able to rate this product with 5 stars. Unfortunately, i cant. it does get my hair straight, but the results only last for a few hours. after that, my hair starts to get puffy and curl back up again even with straightening products in my hair. i expected a little better considering all the great reviews. i get a LOT of breakage with this iron, also. i guess i cant expect much given the way my hair is: coarse, frizzy, and damaged. i use the iron at 180, which is way too harsh for my hair, and it still wont get the front of my hair completely straight. folica was great with customer service though. they replied to my email within the hour. if your hair isnt damaged or really frizzy, you may have better luck.

I have Latino hair ( Curly and Frizzy ). I have Used Maxiglide, didn't work!!!! CHI and True Ceramic Pro this last 2 worked good but gave me split and dry ends . This Sedu is the BEST is all what they said and more ,is worth the money!!!!!!!! I used with dry hair followed with silk theraphy by biosilk or matrix sleek.look.

Okay, I looked at the other reviews and considered the Allure review and then after a day or two of deliberating decided to go for it. All I can say is that this is by far the best flat iron I have ever used. It took my just below shoulder length, crazy curly hair and straightened it in no time. It was unbelievable. My 9 year old daughter was even in awe. I would say that it has cut my ironing time in half.

I bought this product based on the many positive customer reviews. Now I can add my own. I think this product is awesome. I used to use a Baby Bliss which I originally thought was a good product until the Sedu! It happend to arrive while I was going through a humidity disaster and was in great need of a straightening out. I got out of bed with my hair up and in a frizzy curly bunch around the top of my head which would have taken hours of work otherwise. In four minutes my hair was pin straight. I used it on my sister, whose hair was so bad she was contemplating cutting it all off. Now she,too will be purchasing a Sedu of her very own. Well done!
The Sedu 1 1/2 inch straightner is excellent.

I purchased this product on-line based on reviews given and product reputation. I am very pleased with the Sedu Iron and the results it gives. The iron does get very hot, so be careful not to burn yourself. I am also a little concerned about hair breakage after using a flat iron over a long period of time.

I was a little skeptical (okay, a lot) about spending so much on a flat iron, but i knew i wanted something professional that would actually do the job. I have very thick curly hair. This one definetely works, FAST, and I am really happy with it.

This iron is much better than the chi that I had (which just stopped working one day). I have had my hair straightened and it is very damaged. This iron is great! Really smooths my hair.
