This flat iron is excellent! I have medium length, course, naturally curly hair. I have been using the CHI Turbo 1" for the last 1 1/2 years and I have had good results, but I was unhappy with the fact that it just does not seem to get as hot as I'd like and it is so bulky and heavy. The Sedu get hotter than the CHI and it is lightweight and easy to control. The plates are wider and shorter that the CHI, so it cuts the amount of time it takes to straighten my hair. My hair also looks shinier and much healthier than after I use the CHI. I would definitely recommend this flat iron. It is well worth the money!

Ok, I have the most stubborn, thick, curly hair ever, and this iron straightens it RIGHT out without giving me split ends or fried hair. My hair feels and looks so much healthier, smoother and silkier. I would recommend this for anyone who doesn't like to blow dry their hair stick straight before even taking the iron to it- you can start with curly and get to straight no problem!

I have very thick curly hair. It is difficult to control so much hair, but this flat iron does the trick FAST. I have used different flat irons in the past. This beats all of my other irons with speed and quality. It heats up fast, straightens fast, and even cools pretty quickly (I cannot really say fast on the cooling end). If you are a pro at this like me I can only encourage you to try this because it will cut your work time almost in half. It is a great addition to anyone who is time management conscious.
MY ONLY CON:
I can only give the Sedu 4 stars because it does not cool off at the same speed that it heats up. The sedu also makes my hair pretty hot so I have to be careful when handling a very hot strand. I believe that this will get easier with time.

I've used many flat irons in my time and this is by far the best. I was previously using the Solano which does great too but this one is better. It definately makes my hair shinier, smoother and over all straight. Having naturally curly hair its been a challenge getting it as straight as I would like and for it to stay that way. I would highly recommend it!

I am not one who spends much money, the thought of spending 125.95 about killed me, but after being so frustrated with my hair for so long, I read the reviews and ratings and decided to splurge and buy this straightener. It is worth twice the price [atleast!] as far as I'm concerned. I am absolutely in love with this straightener!!! It is lightweight, and very easy to manuever, and it left my hair silky smooth and looking fabulous!

This straightener is AWESOME! My hair has natural curl and frizzes up in humidity. Not with this new straightener!! It is amazing! My hair has never been straighter and it lasts for days. Money well spent trust me! You will NOT be disappointed. : )

I have really really thick wavy frizzy hair and i got this straightener for x-mas and i am in love with it. It makes my hair so straight everyone is always askign em how i got my hair so straight! I would really reccomend this falt iron to everybody!

i bought this iron last christmas and it literally takes 3 minutes maximum to straighten my hair with it. although it was so good it just died which is a dissapointment but i did straighten my hair every single day since last christmas so overall it is very good

My other straightener(hot tools) literally blew up, so i was cautious in purchasing a new straightener. After reading the great reviews i chose the Sedu. I ABSOLUTELY love it!!! i wouldnt trade it in for anything. One swipe through my hair in each section and its straightened just the way i want it. I definitely recommend this straightener. Well worth the money.

i just got my straightener today. it works great. my hairs still kinda frizzy but i need to put some product on it. but other than that its the best straightener ive ever used. wayyyyyyyy better than the chi. my friend has the chi and it didnt really work that well. it straightened my hair some and it was way frizzy after about 10 minutes but this straightener is 10 times as good as the chi. i recomend this staightener to anyone. get the sedu!!!!!

I have only owned the flat iron for about 2 weeks now but already I know that it performs exceptionally well. Ten times better than any store bought product, it straightens my hair perfectly with enough heat to do it in only a matter of seconds. I would recommend this product to anyone wishing to use a flat iron on their hair....works extremely well!!!

I really love this flat iron. My Chi was starting to suck so I came on here and saw the Sedu. It got here in less time then it was suppose to, and I just finished straightening my hair and even my boyfriend noticed how good it works. If you want a good flat iron buy this one. It's worth it!

I have damaged hair from a perm and highlights, not to mention the phoenix summer sun, and this straightner has worked wonders on my hair. I usually have frizzy, fly away hair when I would use other straightners or my round brush with the blow-dryer, and this straightner is by far the best that I have used!! What a steal at the price as well!!

They make your hair really striaght and shiny, without a lot of pulling or breaking of your hair, only thing is, it didnt look so good the next day.

I recently bought and received my Sedu flat iron. I must say, I am impressed. It does not pull or catch your hair like other flat irons I have used. I rarely straighten my hair because it's a little dry and I think looks better with waves/body. But after using the flat iron, my hair felt really soft! And it straightened quite easily and quickly. The iron heats up fast! Definitly a quality product. Anyone looking for the right flat iron -- this one is it. Maybe I'll do some before and after pictures next time I decide to straighten my hair again. AeonTrek.com
