Alright I washed my hair, deep conditioned and tried the Sedu ceramic flat iron.
This is a good iron. it was worth spending over 90 dollars on this.Now i can see why this is rated the best flat iron.Theres a difference. I have an Fhi (which im using as back up)(its under the same company as the chi).
The fhi makes my hair more flat. The sedu leaves more volume and actually straightens well. While the fhi is an alright straight iron, theres more of a burning smell when you straighten. I used all sorts of flat irons in the past and all of them made my hair smell kind of burnt. With the Sedu my hair doesnt smell burnt at all.I just smell the products I put in my hair.
Money well spent.
I would give it a 5 but maybe next time. I prob should of blow dryed my hair straight instead of air drying.the results prob would of came out even better.
But yeh this is a great iron. straightens very well!

When I first heard about Sedu I was hesitant to buy it, I hear all these advertisements and they usually never work. Or break very easily..But when I bought it I got fantastic results. My hair is shiny, smooth, and perfectly straight...I LOVE IT. I take it everywhere I go...I can't make do without it!!!

This flat iron is amazing! I still cannot believe the incredible results I am getting. I have tried every cheapo flat iron out there. Stop wasting your money and invest in this amazing product, it will pay for itself. My hair curls at the slightest hint of moisture in the air. I went out in the rain the other night and it stayed pin straight! If you have frizzy, curly or unmanageable hair this is the iron to get!

i think that this probuct is great and makes my hair smother shinnier and straiter then its ever been. Any one who says this product isnt good is crazy!! i belive that evry one should by this straitner!2 thums up^^!!!

I love this iron. I've had it for over a year now and I couldn't be happier. It died in me about 6months in but Folica just let me ship it back and shipped me a new one within the next week!!!! My sister got a chi and mine's still better, I love it, it's fabulous. It's the next best thing to getting it chemically straightened. I recommend it to all my friends.
GET IT if you want a great straightener, the best one I've experienced thus far!

The Sedu flat iron is awesome and really straightens my hair fast. I previously had the Cricket StraightCrazy iron which didn't work nearly as well -- it would take twice as long to get my hair as straight as the Sedu. The only drawback is that it gets super hot, so be careful around the ears!!

As everyone else in this site purchasing flat irons, i was skeptical. My hair is very curly and dry. The only way i can maintain nice loose curls is by adding tons and tons of gel. The only way to straighten it is by going to the salon having rollers for about an hour and a half then blow drying it for about 20 minutes and ironing it to avoid frizziness. I researched this site and read so many reviews before paying such a pricey amount for a flat iron. But i have to say that honestly its worked magic on my hair. I used it the first day i got it, it took me some time because im not used to using a flat iron but after i was done it looked like i had gone to the salon if not better. However i find that im better off going to the salon and doing just rollers then going home and flat ironing it, its let hassle and gives the same effect. Overall I love it and it has saved me money and time. Thanks folia and thanks Sedu. Pictures soon to come!
If God made a flat iron, it wouldn't be as good as this one!!!!

i have very thick and curly hair and every flat iron i've tried has been ok. but one of my friends is the same hair type and she has a sedu and highly recommended one. so i tried hers and was amazed it only took 15 min. to straiten my already defuesed hair. so i just had to buy one and i love it. i no longer have to get up at 5 in the morning so i can have strait hair that day.

I recently purchased a Chi from folica only to have it quit heating up 2 weeks into using it. I then returned it for the Sedu flatteing iron and it is so much better! It makes my think hair smooth and sleek -- no more Texas big hair! ... I would encourage anyone considering buying a flattening iron to purchase the Sedu over any other product out there!

omgg!! i love this straightener!! its the best straightener in the whole wide WORLD!!! but it wasn't easy getting it.. my parents wouldnt let me get it because they thought that i didnt need a straightener but i did need one because my hair is very frizzy and out of control! but soon i came up with the money and now my hair feels so nice! i never thought i would feel this good about my hair! it doesnt make your hair puffy AT ALL! and my parents loved my hair too! so i was very happy! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!!

This Sedu is fab! It's fast meaning I dont have to go over each section more than twice (mostly once)and I have very curly thick hair. My daughter has a chi that I started using recently and loved it but I wanted to get my own. I shopped around I took the advice from the reviews on folica.com and decided on the Sedu 1 1/2 inch. Now we are both using the Sedu and the Chi is a back up. The Sedu makes our hair very shiny and smooth It even feels healthier than before. I highly recomend it!

This works to give shine to my over-processed dyed and straightened hair. This smooths the hair, and gives it a gloss like nothing I have seen. It pputs my other irons to shame--and I am a beauty junkie--I have lots of different things... BUY it--it;s worth the money

My friend was watching me straighten my hair the first time i used it; she said I should be on an infomercial because it was working SO well!!!!
My hair has always been frizzy and out of control.... nothing kept it straight, i always had to blow dry for an hour (its very thick, long, curly), then straighten for over 90 minutes.
I used Sedu on damp hair (just let it air dry for about 40 min), and it was all straight in about 45 min!?! AWESOME!!!! and straighter than its ever been - I LOVE IT!

I had a what I thought was the best flat iron ever for 5 years. After the cord started to fray, i was afraid to use it thinking it might spark or something else bad. I got on line and saw the reviews for this iron and decided to try it. I did not mind paying $125 for it, my last one was $175. When this came in I plugged it in and all I can say is AWESOME!!! It is by far better than the one I had. It's smaller, and lighter in weight and works like a gem. I have been recommending this to all who compliment me on my hair.

I have had many flat irons in my day, and this one is the smallest and the best. I can even straighten my curls without blow drying first! I highly recommend!
