I have bought my g/f about 3 different types of hair straighteners. Out of those three, Sedu Tourmaline hair straightener is the best. YOu couldn't even compare it to the others I've bought. Highly recommend this one guys.
It works like Magic!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on with this product. It works wondrously awesome. It is fast and easy. When I'm short for time I never felt the need to divide my hair into small sections, it just glides on easy without pulling any single strand on my hair. My hair always feel flawless and silky smooth. For extra cost of money spend in your wallet , Sedu hair straightener product is worth the investment. I highly recommend this product and your hair would love you for it!

I begged my husband for a month or more to buy me this iron after reading so many awesome reviews on here, and of course the pictures! that is what really sold me, to see people with hair like mine, or in even worse condition, curlier or frizzier, etc. turn out beautifully!
I had been given for my birthday last year a regular old flat/straightening iron and it did NOTHING for my very wavy and extremely thick hair! I was still trying not to get my hopes up when the iron finally came last week, and the first time my hubby wanted to do it for me, so because he only used 1" strands instead of 2", it took over an hour, but turned out amazing! then the second time I did it after washing my hair, I did it as quickly as possible (I am a pregnant mom of 2 and DO NOT have much time to fool around with my hair!) and it turned out almost as good as when my husband did it, I am very impressed and because my hair has always been a source of unhappiness and frustration for me, I feel a lot better about how pulled together I look and it really brings out the highlights in my hair and makes it look healthy and longer when it is straightened! this is an excellent product, I would buy it again in a heartbeat, don't waste your money thinking that a $30 or even $50 straightener will work unless your hair is already mostly straight or thin/fine, if you have thick, wavy, or very curly/frizzy, unmanageable hair, it is so worth the 125! Oh yes, and can I mention this was on backorder when hubby ordered it and it got here TWO days sooner than when it said (which was only a week to begin with! thats faster than normal in-stock shipping for most places! AWESOME JOB SEDU AND FOLICA!!!
Fast and Fabulous

This iron has allowed me to get salon hair at home! It heats quickly and makes my hair smooth and silky. I am really glad I spent the extra money to get a great iron.
Love It!

I won't repeat all the great tips and comments from other reviews, but I will say that the Sedu flattened my air-dried hair that had been held up in a clip all day. You all know those crazy kinks that are usually impossible to straighten? The Sedu did it in just one to two tries, depending on the thickness of the hair. So glad I spent the money. Now I just hope it lasts a long time!
Perfect!

I fought with my less expensive flat iron for over a year before buying the Sedu, and I'm very happy with my purchase. In about 3 minutes, my new iron is hot enough to flatten my hair. And I mean flat: the thing gets so hot that my hair doesn't stand a chance, even on a rainy day. I can hardly believe it, but now my hair actually stays flat after sleeping on it.
It takes me about 5 minutes to do my whole head (as opposed to 30 with my old iron). And it is very compact—which translates to portability on business trips. Highly recommended.
Sedu is great!

I've tried other straighteners before but this one works by far the best! I have naturally wavy frizzy hair and this straightens it right out. Plus it got to me with in days of my order. Thanks for the great customer service!
Does everything you could expect from a flatiron

I'm a young guy with hair down to around my ears right now. Not that long, but certainly long enough to develop into something of a frizzed-out rat's nest in humidity, due to my very wavy, thick, somewhat curly hair. The Sedu flat iron heats very rapidly compared to my old flat iron (Conair ShinyStraight, junk). Like, 30 seconds. It cools down almost as quickly, allowing me to put it away after I'm finished. takes me about 15 minutes to do my whole head, which is probably longer than it would take if my hair were a bit longer. I must be very careful with the iron around my ears and neck, because if you allow it to touch your skin for more than about a half-second, it will burn you. This is unsurprising, considering how hot the plates get. Although my hair doesn't have dense curls, I wanted a good flat iron because the volume and frizz of my hair gets a bit much at times, and it only looks good with a ton of junk in it, at such times. The neat thing about the Sedu is that I can straighten my hair one day, then not wash it for 2, even 3 days, and it just looks better and better, up to a point. I guess I just go for that type of hairstyle which you get from being a bit careless-- but now I can literally just straighten it at night, wake up in the morning and my hair looks like I want it, straight out of bed. Those straight-hair people don't realize how easy they have it ;) (if they liked the same style as me, I suppose)

I just did a web search to try and find comparisons on straighteners. I found info on this one and decided to try it. My daughters hair can be very frizzy and we have had a tough time finding a straightener that works. Well I can promise you.... you will LOVE this one. Her hair is so beautiful, shiny and soft after we use it!! All her friends have been telling her how pretty she looks! If you have puffy or frizzy hair this will be the best $125 you have ever spent on yourself. WE LOVE IT !!
GREAT!!!

I started using it last week and I LOVE IT. I have long really dry frizzy hair and live in humid weather. It keeps it straight and smooth all day. I can now even get up the next morning and do a few things without looking too scary. I recommend Smooth Down from Redken to use with the iron. good luck
LOVE IT!

I tried a Conair flat iron (trying to avoid the high price tag of the Sedu. I then tried a Chi turbo (which was more expensive than the Sedu!). Then, on the recommendation of a Folica representative, tried the Sedu. There is NO comparison! My hair is shiney, smooth, there is virtually no pulling and it takes no time at all.
I have shoulder length hair, which if you follow the folica site is considered short. They recommend the smaller Sedu but I would recommend the 1 1/2" unless you have REALLY short hair or need it for some other reason.
THIS IS A MUST!!

reading all the reviews and having problems with True Creamic Pro flat iron being defective and not sending me a replacement after fight with them for a month and trying to get a refund finally after turning them over to BBB. Any way I find this iron Sedu doesn't get as hot even on the hotest setting however possible the TCP was malfunctioing is why the difference, but gets my hair straight and the tesxture is so soft and smooth. I have only had it one day and liked how it works so far, hopefully it last a while. I would recommend this product for anyone that has never had really straight hair even with the other old style flat irons, or ironing it when I was a teenager never got it like this. I like that it goes so close to the scalp. Really a must have item if you have curly hair.
Wow!!! Finally straight, smooth hair

I got this product and never thought it being so light weight would make a difference, that and it gets HOT!! I never could take a shower before I went to bed b/c my hair would be too frizzy and kinky in the morning. I took a shower before I went to bed and put my long hair in a twisted knot pony tail like I always do before bed and in the morning I used my new iron and my hair was smoother than ever!! The only bad thing is it gets my hair so hot it's hard to do and hurts my hands. I dunno how bad that is for my hair. I love it though!!
Awesome flat iron!

When I was nine, I had perfectly straight hair. When I turned ten, my hair became an unruly mess of uncontrolable, tight curls. After four years of trying to tame them (I know my mother must have spent over $500 on hair products made just for curly hair), we started looking for alternatives. After asking a worker at Trade Secret, she recommended a Chi. My mother purchased the flat iron for $120 (my hair was also chemically straightened, but it only straightened my curls out a little), and thus I was introduced to the world of flat irons. I would literally spend an hour straightening my hair. Since my hair is so thick, it looks bulky and damaged even after the straightening, but I was thrilled all the same. So for the next two years I used the Chi, learning how to cut my straightening time in half along the way. Unfortunately, one day while using the Chi, I dropped it on the floor, which caused it to break.
At first I was going to get another Chi, but I decided to look online first. That's when I found the Sedu iron. Since it was the top rated, I decided to try it. When I first got it, I was a little apprehensive, and when I first tried it on my already straighened, I didn't like it because, unlike my other iron, it when over my hair smoothly and didn't have any resistance (I wasn't aware at the time that resistance isn't exactly good; it was just what I was used to). So after I had tried it on curly hair, I was amazed. My hair looked less thick and healthy. It shined and I had no fly aways what so ever. When I went to school the next day, I had numerous people tell me how great my hair looked.
I would recommend this iron to anyone with thick, course, or ethnic hair. It works like a charm!

I have very thick, naturally curly hair. I had been using a ceramic flat iron that I had bought at a beauty supply chain. After about a year of use(maybe once every two weeks)the ceramic started chipping and snagging my hair. I decided to do some research and found this site and the SEDU Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron. I was reluctant about the price but after one use, I am sold. This is by far the best flat iron for my hair. It is light weight and easy to use. It may be pricier than other flat irons but I feel it was worth every penny.
