i was a little doubty about getting the sedu. i found out my friend bought it and i borrowed hers. i was shocked. i am an african american female with medium length thick hair. usually it takes a little over an hour to flat iron my hair and actually get it straight. after using the sedu, my hair never felt the same. it came out so straight and soft. i was so impressed i went home and ordered my own personal sedu. to all the african american women who are wondering....it is worth the money. it works miracles.

I think this straightner is better than the Chi i had before. It's hot it's like u can feel it working and i went to a social last night and everyone was like you're hair looks so good they thought I had gotten it professionaly straightened like chemically. This is a great product i would recommend it to anyone.

I have naturally (very) curly, though not unruly or coarse hair. I've been looking for a way to straighten/iron with minimal heat damage, and during the last decade, have purchased very expensive name brand irons. My SEDU is by far the most gentle AND powerful iron I've owned, and the funny thing is, I'd never heard of it until I found the Folica site! LOVE IT!!!!

I LOVE MY NEW SEDU FLAT IRON, I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE DIFFERNCE USING MY SEDU FLAT IRON COMPARED TO THE ONE I WAS USING. MY HAIR LOOKS SHINNIER AND HEALTHIER AND IT STRAIGHTENS MY HAIR IN HALF THE TIME IT ALWAYS LOOKS PERFECT. I HAVE HAD SO MANY COMPLIMENTS ON MY HAIR, TRY ONE FOR YOURSELF YOU WILLLOVE THE RESULTS.

I finally found a straighting iron that works. I was about to pay 250.00 for another straighting iron but the reviews that I read on this one was fabulous. So I decided to purchase this iron which was the best purchase I ever made. This iron straightens my hair in about 10 minutes, my hair is thick and past my mid back. My hair also has some natural curl. This iron is the best I ever had and I have had about 6 straighting irons.

Ok...where do I even start?!My hair is very frizzy, thick, and some what curly!!So straightening it is usually a pain!I gone through about 5 or 6 hair straighteners and none of them come even close!They all worked ok, but they didn't cure my main hair problems, frizz and they just would not straighten my ends!I have tried creams,gels,sprays, and even got my hair straightened chemically and they all didn't really work.So I then just basically gave up on my hair, I figured that I would just have to live with my frizzy hair that I hate soo much!But one day I was bored so I googled hair straightners and came across Folica.com. And I am so glad that I did because I found my future best friend, The SEDU hair straightener!I just got It today after waiting 5 days. It was soo hard to wait that long!But I finally got it and just got done straightening my hair!I am still completely shocked and freaked out that something so skinny could straighten my out of control hair!It really is worth every penny and you should defenitly give it a try. I finally found a straighter that actually does what it says it will!!I don't know what I would do without it.

I loved it. It is perfect for my wavy hair which really look bad when it is humid. It has made a real big difference in how my hair look. In fact I have bought two-one to use at home and another(Euro version)to use in India when I visit my family.

Frankly, I don't see what all the fuss is about. I ordered a Sedu Ceramic after seeing all these rave reviews posted here, but promptly returned it after trying it out. My 4-year old Solano Sapphire flat iron works better than this thing! The Sedu is ok, but I think there are better products out there (like the Solano).
Best flat iron I have used, and I have used several.

THis iron is fabulous! I have long, extremely thick course curly/wavy hair and it worked wonders on straightening it. I can straighten my hair in 10-15 minutes. Ususally I wash it and let it air dry overnight, then in the morning I flat iron it and the style lasts 2-5 days depending on my level of activity. I've never written a review for any product before in my life, but this iron really impressed me.

This is an awesome flat iron! It is smaller than the other 2 I have had, it heats quickly and glides very smoothly through my hair. I have noticed a big decrease in the amount of hair breakage and fallout, and it really only takes one pass to get the desired effect so I spend much less time on my hair. I was hesitant to spend so much on a hair tool, but I sure wish I had done it sooner! My hair is shoulder length, course, and becomes frizzy with the least amount of moisture. Now I can straighten it and it stays smooth and shiny until the next time I wash it. I am really pleased.

This is by far the best I have tried to date, I have very course, somewhat curly/frizzy hair. It is always real hard to blow dry it even partly straight. With this I get the straightest hair I have achieved, I have tried other cheaper brands and it did not do much. My hair also feels pretty soft and nice after using the iron, quick to use as well. I would still like it a bit straighter, but with my hair I feel perfection is not possible anyway. All in all I am very happy with it.

I have long hair that is fine, but thin. I've used this iron only one time and I got split ends that I haven't had before. For others it may work right, but I don't think this product is for me..

i bought the sedu about 3-4 months ago and yes i have to admit i was a lil apprehensive about it ..being as though its expensive. my hair lady has the hai and that thing pulls my hair, i have friends with the Chi and T3, but after reading the reviews i ventured out and bought the Sedu. i have no complaints. i was using a hot tools before and that thing took forever to some what straighten my course thick.(asian/middle eastern) hair. never did i get it stick straight. with the sedu each time i use it it takes me about 10 min to do my long hair.WOW that alone is worth it. no burning..just real shiney sexy straight hair. i love it. and definetly recommend it.

I have medium to fine hair, and I Love this iron! I have it on the recommended heat setting, and it works at least 3x faster than the generic shopping store brands. As far as I'm concerned, this iron is an investment in to making me look good in less than normal time -- and it totally pays off. So now I can take an even longer shower :)

This leaves my curly, coarse hair very shiny. Doesn't dry out my hair. Best flat iron I've ever used. Absolutely worth the price.
