i am in love with my sedu flat iron. it used to take me hours to do my hair now it takes less then an hour and i have really curly hair!!!!!

I had a difficult time finding any kind of hair straightener that would actually work. They would all leave my hair still looking frizzy. This straightener leaves my hair looking smooth and soft. I don't know what I would do without it.

I bought the Sedu over one year ago. I was doing research on irons and saw that I liked the look of the Sedu and the PRICE at the time. I bought mine fo ronly 89.00 at Folica.com. It must have gone way up in price due to all the hype about it. I am way glad I bought it early. First off, you have to make sure your hair is fully dry before ironing because if you do not, there will be kinks at the top where you have tried to straighten. Heat setting is most important and the guide they give you does a good job of explaining what heat setting to leave your iron on. I have fine frizzy wavy hair and I was alsways unsatisfied with any iron I owned, until the sedu. I use it religiously. I only wash my hair every other day so I wont have to use it as much because I want it to last a long time. You will get great results if you know what you are doing. Take your time and go from root to end. It is a wonderful product and leaves my hair full and super silky soft. I douse Paul Mitchell super skinny brand hair serum, so my end or the rest of my hair will not get fried or burned during use. I can go without a haircut for more than 3 months and not have that many split ends. Totally worth it.

I had a Chi Turbo, and it worked fine, but it was rather bulky and heavy. Lighting struck my house and burnt my chi iron, so i was looking for a new one, when i saw all the great reviews of the Sedu, and how lightweight it was i had to try it. And i got it in a few days later and i absouletly love it. I have very thick and curly hair and my hair shines and is so smooth after use. Its so lightweight, this one beats the chi turbo anyday. Try it you'll love it. Thanks for all the reviews it helped me out. I'm satisfied with my flat iron.

this flat iron is the best one i've ever owned. i started out a long time ago with a conair one and then moved up to hot tools. then it was a wigo. and then one that came for free with a hair straigtening kit. then finally my most recent was was an ion. the last two were just alright but i was not as pleased as i could have been. i came across the sedu on this website and immediately wanted it after seeing all the before and after pictures and reading the reviews. i can say that i am not disappointed at all. what usually would take me up to 2 hours, only took about 20 minutes. I was a bit skeptical when i saw some of the reviews that claimed it only took them like 15 or 20 minutes but i kept track of the time and was amazed. i am extremely happy and hope that this product will last me a long time. even if it doesn't, i know i'll be back to buy it again because i will never own a different one after this.

i am hispanic and have thick, course curly hair and not only did it leave my hair straight with no frizz whatsoever, it also left it very soft AND shiny & it stays like that until i wash it again! it actually looks healthy and natural!
if you've never ironed your hair before and think you can't do it, this flat iron will change your mind.
definitely worth every penny.

This flat iron is a really great product!I was going to buy the CHI but after all the raging reviews on the sedu I opted for this one. I have tried a regular ceramic plate iron and it has not even straighten a strand of my hair. However, the sedu straightened my hair without even blowdrying first. I live in the Caribbean so it is really humid and my hair is always frizzy. I only got this product today so I have not yet tested my hair for frizzeness. I think it is worth buying!!!!

I had to post my picture in what the Sedu Straightener does for me! Its an awesome product and well worth $125!! When I first got this product i was so EXCITED that I did my friends hair!! They loved it as much as I do!! I can go outside in the rain or snow and it will stay as straight as it was when I styled it! It used to take me 45 minutes to straighten my hair with a crappy "Conair" straightener only to allow it to get curly once again in 10 minutes or less and now it takes me 5 minutes and it takes days for me to get my curl back with the Sedu!!

I have tried a few other flat irons and this one doesn't compare! It's great! I suggest blow drying most of your hair first with either a paddle brush or round brush and then parting your hair and using the flat iron to get the best sleek straight hair results. One of the best purchases i've made all year! :)

After reading the reviews on follica.com, I purchased the Sedu flat iron. The reviews you read are 100% true. It works great. It leaves my hair straight and silky- no frizz or overdried ends! It stands up to humidity far better than my other flat irons. My hair stayed straight even on a rainy day. My hair is a medium texture and I used the iron at 180 degrees. The only downside I can think of is that the heat setting only goes up to 200 which could be an issue for someone with very coarse hair.
I definitely recommend this product.

Let me just start off by saying that I have rediculously thick, coarse, and long hair! I've never managed without a straitening iron in my life.
I've owned the original Chi and most recently the Chi Turbo. I thought they both were the best thing in this world, however when they both broke due to unfortunate accidents (being stepped on twice) I had to purchase a new one. I decided to try something new and I ordered the Sedu on a Tuesday night and recieved it on Thursday morning!! I honestly wasn't expecting much b/c it was fairly cheaper than my Chi Turbo I owned in the past.....BUT, once I tried it I was amazed! It's far better than the Chi! It's so light, and it took half the time that the Chi needed! It also left my hair feeling way better than the Chi ever did! I'm extatic about this product....don't believe me?? Look at my before and after pictures and try the Sedu for yourself!!

I was devestated when my Chi straightener was lost during a plane trip, esp since they are not cheap. But it was a blessing in disguise because it brought me to the Sedu flat iron. I saw the reviews about this flat iron and decided to give it a shot. I thought the Chi iron worked well, but this one is even better ! I have tons of thick long hair and this flat iron makes my hair pin straight and gorgeous and in no time at all. Thanks Sedu for a wonderful product ! And the shipping from Folica.com was awesome...I had it in 3 days.

This is a great product, my hair is thick, long, and wavy, this flat iron left my hair straight, silky, and shiny!! I had a chi iron before, but it worked nothing like the Sedu. If you want great hair purchase this product, it is worth every penny!!!!

I have had my sedu for about 5 or 6 months. I waited to do this review so i could have a real understanding of what it is capable of. all i can say is WOW! STILL after 6 months my hair looks just as shiny and straight as it did when i first recieved it. MY HAIR DOES NOT LOOK DAMAGED!! it looks healthyer than most peoples hair not even using a straightener. most importantly NO FRIZZ!!this straightener TRULY amazed me. I started off buying those cheap walmart brands such as hot tools or conair i also tried a remington.
NONE of them even comes close to what the sedu can do. My hair went from wavy and REALLY thick to shiny and straight. It also stayed that way through HOT AND HUMID WEATHER. I was truly suprised about how great this product turned out to be. I recieved my sedu SO FAST. Next day arrival. First time I tried it my hair looked so good I had to go out haha.

i cannot express how wonderful this product is..but i'll start by saying .this product is the best in the woorlddd..to me...it depepnds how thick your hair is.
I have extremely thin hair so i guess that would have something to do with it..but..anyways, so before i bought the sedu i was surfin the net tryna look for a straightener that i could use after my magic straight wore off. i was going to buy the sephora ionic gold plated hair straighener..wayy to overpriced and from the reveiws apprently its not as good as it seems.so then i stumbled onto the sedu, though i was extremely skeptical, was this rilly worth it, was it going to work well..? after i read the refund guarantee and from all the positive reviews i decided to buy it..with my sisters credit card, hehe. When i got it, the first thing i did was straighten my sisters hair..and her hair is extremely coarse and its rilly hard to manage, but the sedu just glided through her hair like silk..it was awesome. now my sister and I fight for it all the time ...
after my magic straight wore off, i started to use my sedu .after i washed my hair. and for me, my hair would just be straight the whole time before i washed my hair and after i would straighten it the last time my hair was washed...i love my sedu, and my friends want em too. i definitely recommend this product to EVERYONE who was in my position

This was my first time with a hair straightener. I wasn't getting very good results with smoothing shampoos/conditioners. I have frizzy, thick, somewhat long asian hair. Unlike my sister who was blessed by the hair goddess...I have what I call "pony hair". It's rebellious.
I did a lot of research, and finally settled on the Sedu.
1) It came in the mail fairly quickly, customer service here was excellent. *i had accidently used the wrong card, and they helped me out right away
2)I tested it with my hair moist (mostly dry except a few strands), and with it completely dry. *after reading some of the posts here.
For me, it didn't matter. I have really thick hair, and only had to do one pass with the Sedu. :) Just as long as you follow directions, you shouldn't have any problems.
It lasts until your next wash *I wash everyday, sometimes 2 times a day*. I tried sleeping after I used the Sedu, and Voila!! I wake up the next morning, and it looks like I just used it. :) I just had to brush my hair, and I was ready to go.
The best part was when the wind blows, it goes right back into place again. NO FRIZZ!!!!
I only use Garnier Fructis Smooth formula shampoo/conditioner/serum. I blow dry, and then use the Sedu. So far, great results. :)

I am an African American woman and I relax my hair. After washing and blow drying my hair it is frizzy. I used to have to flat iron my hair twice (1 1/2 hours) to get it straight. Even still it wasn't straight as I wanted it to be until two days later. With the Sedu flat iron it takes only 40 minutes and my hair is super straight and soft right then. My husband loves it - and you know men don't really notice things like that. I've gotten so many compliments. I'm very pleased with this product.

Well, I ordered this hair straightener and happened to get it the NEXT day which kicked ass. It was pretty expensive but its something I use and obsess over everyday. It defenitley works better than my old Hot Tools one, and my hair is healthier because it doesn't grab the hair and make it break and OUCHH it used to hurt especially straightening the back of my hair cause my straightener used to be on a weird angle and just like break all my hair. The plates are really smooth. The only draw backs are that the whole portion where the plates are on the opposite side get so hot that you can't hold it after awhile and you have to hold the handle part which I usually don't like to do. Its really light weight and easy to hold. I was expecting an absolute miracle and I think my hopes were a little too high, but I still wasn't dissapointed. Good product, worth the money!

Ok, so I used to have Hot Tools---twice..and they both broke. So this time I was thinkin I needed a durable dependable one, but I had tried the Chi and wasn't satisfied with the size, because I have a LOT of hair! I mean, like massive curls all over the place, and it's about two feet long...maybe more! So I searched around and read other reviews and settled on the Sedu..and I am SO happy with it! It heats up in like 30 seconds flat, and I literally only have to go over pieces once, instead of the usual like 6! It makes the process a bit shorter, even though it still takes about 1.5 hours! (I told you I had a lot of hair!) The cord is awesome too, because it rotates anyway you move, which is good because I move a lot! It's also very light and easy to hold. I use the highest setting of heat, and it works like gold! I love this thing!
