I have THICK, wavy/curly, frizzy, hard-to-tame hair, as you can tell from my picture! I did a ton of research and finally decided to invest in the Sedu. It's quick, light, and NEVER snags onto my hair (like the cheap Hot Tools one I had before). The plates are extremely smooth and leave my hair shinier than ever before! It takes me less than an hour to straighten my massively thick layers upon layers of hair. And the humid weather didn't change my hair a bit! It will stay stick straight and frizz free until you wash it. I got a million compliments! :)

Okay, first I want everyone to know that I also owned a Solia 1 3/4" flat iron and was very happy with the results. But I didn't like it for two reasons...it was too heavy (at least for me) and it was much more difficult to maneuver as far as getting it close to your scalp and using it to flip the ends. Anyhow, because of that I decided to try Sedu instead and I love it! First of all, it's so much lighter than Solia and it's much easier to handle. The results seem to be a little better too. My hair is super soft and feels very light and healthy. All I know is that I ordered Solia first to try and save some $$$ but realized that Sedu is worth the extra $$$.
One tip - the actual flat iron part (outside) gets hot, so make sure not to burn yourself and also to use some heat protection spray or something for your hair before you you blowdry. My entire hair time took 40 minutes and that's with me being super picky and going over it a couple times.
I love my new Sedu flat iron and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants beautiful straight hair.

I've been wanting this for months now, & I finally saved enough money to buy it. Wow. I must say that this is probably the best straightener out there. I have gotten soo many compliments on my hair. The shine, the softness, the overall straightness of it is just AMAZING. I love it. The heat protecting thingy is also very cool. =] Hope this helped you & convenced you to buy one! THEY ARE WORTH EVERY CENT!

This is the best investment I have ever made! I LOVE my Sedu. I got so tired of paying $60 per visit to the salon and not even getting my moneys worth! So I did some research and concluded that the Sedu was probably my best bet. Though it's a little pricy, it's definitely WELL worth it. It's paid for itself after about 2 uses.
Step I: I Wash my hair with Pantene Pro-V 2 in 1 Smooth and Silky shampoo and I comb it through well with a brush. Then, I separate it into four parts and dry each part with a towel. I make sure to oil my scalp well-I use Blue Magic Coconut Oil.
Step II: I then go section by section and blow dry on the highest setting. When I've straightened it and my hair is completely dry...I braid each section to keep it out of the way.
Step III: First, I put the SEDU on the highest setting. I start at the bottom with a fine-toothed comb and at each section I put a TINY big of Let's Jam: Heat Styles: Straightening Cream (comes in a orange bottle). As I make each part, I put Coconut Oil on my scalp. Iget the Sedu as close to my scalp as possible and use it in a downwards motion.
Step IV. I style my hair like I want to, spray on some African Essence Oil Free SHINE silicone laminator and then use the sedu with this product.
If you have mixed hair similar to mine, these ideas should work for you! I HIGHLY recommend trying the SEDU it has made everything SO much easier. Now I don't have to sit around and wait in somebody else's chair for hours AND I don't have to scramble around at the last minute trying to find someone to do my hair for a big event. The whole process only takes me about an hour and a half (from wash to straightening). It will definitely be worth your money!
Just one word... AMAZING!!!!!!

i tried it out i was like this thing is magic it used to take me one hour and 30 min to 1 hour and 45 min and now it took only 20 min and i did it my self and it look awsome -------if ur looking for a straightener this one is the best and also i have down to like half of my back think wavy hair and it was so quick

I of all people am V-E-R-Y picky when it comes to how straight my hair comes out. I like for my hair to come out stick straight with no lumps what so ever. I have really thick coarse hair and I've used other straighteners that left my hair kind of straight yet still puffy. I liked it cause it left my hair looking shiny and really soft. My cousin had let me have her Chi iron and I had only used it for a week and it left my hair really dead at the ends. I was even using a protectant spray! The Sedu did not do that at all. It took me 20 minutes to do my hair compared to an hour! If you are not sure if this is the straightener for you trust me it is! On new years eve everyone was complimenting me on my hair. I even fell asleep with my hair straight and when I woke up it was still straight. With all my other straighteners I would have straighten my hair over and over. Thanks to the Sedu no more ugly hair days. GET THE SEDU TODAY!

Over the years I've learned to control my curly hair and deal with the fact that I could never get it straight the way i liked it. It was always frizzy or weighed down with too much product. I recently went to a salon to get a cut and the stylist asked if she could straighten my hair. I doubtfully said 'go ahead and try' and she did an amazing job. She used the Sedu iron and I couldnt believe the result. I immediately went online and bought it and have been a happy girl ever since!

Having curly fizzy hair was very hard to straight, i tried all kinds of brand, Conair,Revlon, Trueceramicpro etc. but all it did was dryed&damaged my hair. but after using the SEDU my hair was straight it didnt even feel like my own hair.. im very happy with my purchase!

I have VERY CURLY, THICK, STUBBORN hair. I just got my Sedu today and I was sooo excited I tried it out right away. When I opened the box, I was a bit dissapointed at how tiny it looked, but my doubts were quickly gone once I actually used it. The Sedu leaves your hair so silky without any product (except a heat protectant spray). Usually I would use my Jibere de Paris flat iron and it would leave my hair broken, dull and frizzy. And I would always have to drench it in gloss, which would leave my hair looking greasy. The Sedu, though is truly amazing! You only need to go over your hair once and the time you save is great! I only took 20 minutes to straighten my hair when it would normally take me 2 HOURS!!!

well, i'm back again writing another review and it has been about 5 months since i got my sedu and stilll works great on my hair!
my hair is very very thick, curly, and frizzy and sometimes it would not even straighten cause my roots are really pooofy. its like... a bush if you will. and wowww sedu has been keeping my hair straight though although it sometimes makes my hair a lil dry, i can fix that with a heat protector spray. my advice to the people who have hard hair to deal with, you should just take your time, because if you don`t, your hair would look okay looking, but if you take your time, your hair would look alot nicer and straighter, rather than having a few roots still curly. overall, sedu is a GREAT product and its been lasting a long time, 5 months so far and i`m hoping it does not break!

I recently purchased the Sedu Flat Iron. It works like a pro! I definitely recommend this product. Just be careful, after using the iron it remains very hot so leave it out to cool down before putting it away. I don't know how long this product will last, but for now i am extremely happy with the results.

I had a difficult time finding any kind of hair straightener that would actually work. They would all leave my hair still looking frizzy. This straightener leaves my hair looking smooth and soft. I don't know what I would do without it.

I bought the Sedu over one year ago. I was doing research on irons and saw that I liked the look of the Sedu and the PRICE at the time. I bought mine fo ronly 89.00 at Folica.com. It must have gone way up in price due to all the hype about it. I am way glad I bought it early. First off, you have to make sure your hair is fully dry before ironing because if you do not, there will be kinks at the top where you have tried to straighten. Heat setting is most important and the guide they give you does a good job of explaining what heat setting to leave your iron on. I have fine frizzy wavy hair and I was alsways unsatisfied with any iron I owned, until the sedu. I use it religiously. I only wash my hair every other day so I wont have to use it as much because I want it to last a long time. You will get great results if you know what you are doing. Take your time and go from root to end. It is a wonderful product and leaves my hair full and super silky soft. I douse Paul Mitchell super skinny brand hair serum, so my end or the rest of my hair will not get fried or burned during use. I can go without a haircut for more than 3 months and not have that many split ends. Totally worth it.
