this straightener is awesome. I was using a revlon ceramic straightener, and I did not know what I was missing. Now I don't have to worry about damage to my hair, and also I don't have to blow dry my hair perfect. I can even go to bed with my hair damp, eventhough it gets all crazy. When I wake up in the morning I just use my Sedu, and it fixes everything. It is worth every penny.

I have naturally wavy, frizzy hair that is also extremely thick. Ever since I bought the Sedu, I have received so many compliments on my hair. My husband can't stop running his fingers through it. For once, his fingers don't get tangled in my ratty hair. I recommend this flat iron to everyone.

i recieved the sedu 1 1/2" flat iron yday ...........and my !....what a gr8 product it is!! i love the way my hair looks now! iam glad that it's working wonders for my asian thick/coarse hair!! just takes a few mins to have silky smooth hair.........and bingo , your'e all set to turn heads around!!

The Sedu is an exceptional Iron. I went back and forth as to purchase a Sedu or a CHI. I am very pleased with my decision and appreciate the reviews which helped me make the right choice. The first thing my husband said was "How come your hair is so shiny lately?" If he notices, that's a really good sign the Sedu does the job! It heats up quickly and just does a great straightening job on my fine, wavy hair.

I have long, frizzy, thick hair, and blowdrying aside, it usually takes me around a half hour to iron my hair (with other top-of-the-line irons). This iron is the best creation EVER for my hair, it takes me no more than 5-10 minutes to iron my hair to a stick-straight shiny and amazing quality. My hair has never looked so good or been so easy to maintain. The plates on this iron were smaller than what I'm used to, but don't fear that because you cannot find a better iron, that's a guarantee.

the iron saved my life. i could straighten my hair in 15 minutes. it used to take me at least an hour. after a few months though my iron broke. it just burnt out. i have a warrenty but it is very dissapointing

better than the CHI and I thought the CHI was the best. It even cut my straightening time in half and I was using the CHI. Gets closer to roots, 1 and half inch is perfect. BUY it it is so worth it

The product is of good quality and does a very good job. One thing I haven't been able to resolve is that my hair looks overdried, the edges don't look smooth. But I'm happy that it does a good job on straighning my hair.

I got one of these expensive sedu straight irons, and it was great, it seems great at first, but like several other cheaper brands, it only lasted one year and one month before not working any more, and the warranty does not cover the cord, which may be the problem, but warranty is expired a month before these things go out. It seems to be the average problem, and this is too expensive to have it only last one year. It makes the hair seems silky and great but after using it every day for 5 or 6 months, I noticed that it broke my hair in many places, so bad that no other iron I've used has done such breakage. If you have fine or thin hair, this iron is not worth the money. The only iron that seemed to really make my hair healthier and silkier without breaking it was the HAI iron. Although none of these expensive irons have lasted me without breaking or shorting out more than one year and one month, the HAI at least made my hair feel healthier.
By the way, I did not use the highest heat setting, I only used the low and the medium settings for my hair.

My other straightener was okay but when i got my new sedu straightener my hair was stick straight. It is totaly awsome. It also heats up really fast.

The thing that you can't get in some other irons is the extremely smooth motion you get with these plates. It slides through the most coarse hair without pulling at all. And the shine that it leaves is incredible. People ask me what product I use in my hair, and really, nothing except a spray protectant before I dry. The first time I used it, is was humid and nasty out and my sister could not believe how straight my hair stayed. (And you can put waves in with it, too) My whole family at one point has stolen it from me- from my mom with shorter gray hair to my sister with long thin hair. Everyone loves it! Yesterday I had my hair done in the salon and her iron did not go as smoothly through my hair as this. You need the higher temps- at least the 410 this offers, to straighten thicker hair without damage. If you have to go over your hair too much with a lower setting, you're wrecking your hair. BUY IT!

Well I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with my Sedu iron. When I got it, I had my curly pony-tail, and I immediately put my hair down and started straightening it. It did a good job, and my hair is really thick, and dry. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's not as hot as I thought it was going to be, I had read that it was really hot, but it wasn't. I mean it is, but it's not THAT hot. But yes, it's a great iron and I cannot wait until I really start to use it, because I've only used it once. :)

I recently bought this straightening iron based on the rave reviews it received. And basically this product is worth the price. It heats up quickly,it does not pull or snag your hair like other straightening irons, its lightweight, you're able to control the temperature and most importantly, it WORKS VERY WELL! Don't be afraid to buy it because believe me, you will be pleased.

This straightener is amazingly light. And my hair stays straight even the next morning. I do not have to straighten every morning like how I used to. Other brands of ceramic straighteners work fine too, but I still have to sort of straighten a bit the next morning...

You'll love this iron, it's the best I've ever used- heated up fast and I only had to go over my hair once, so it was a lot faster to get it done. plus it's a pretty design. I love mine!

I have course,wavy,frizzy hair, but not if I use the Sedu. This flat iron left my hair extrordinarily soft shiny & with lots of movement. The real test was on my bi-racial granddaughters' hair. Unbelivable! Now her hair moves too.
This iron is very much worth every penny. BTW we used biosilk & LOreal Vive Smooth-Intense anti-frizz serum. Great stuff!!! Didn't frizz, even in Indiana spring rain.

My hair is naturally curly and I always used to wear it that way because it was the easiest and quickest way to style it. However, the odd time I did wear my hair straight it would take 45 minutes to get it that way, but I seemed to get a lot of compliments. I decided to invest in a good flat iron. I researched to find the best and arrived at the Sedu. I received it promptly and WOW was I impressed. I had my hair perfectly straight in just 22 minutes (from wet)! This is how long it takes me to diffuse my hair. Now I can wear it straight or curly in record time!!

I have been through about 4 straighteners, numerous hair products, and 2 bad haircuts in the past year...and until I bought this flat iron, I was miserable with my hair. This product has amazing results, definitely worth the money. I will never have a bad hair day again!!

I LOVE this straightener. I replaced another straightener, and this one is so much better. My old one was a different brand (over $100 when I bought it), and it worked well, but hair would get caught in it.
The new one never pulls hair, heats up very fast, and gets very hot!
