i have very thick, coarse, curly hair and have used other straighteners, i love this sedu iron. it does not pull the hair and heats up and straightens quickly, in half the time of others. i love the pouch/pad, i use it to set my iron on and store it in. great product!!!

I like my wavy hair (lots of it but thin), but sometimes I feel like going straight (and less frizzy). Even when I make it straight, I still want it to flow and look natural. That's why this Sedu is perfect - I don't need to use tons of products to make it look shiny and smooth and silky. Worth every penny! Would strongly recommend it, but please remember, we are unique and our hair is unique and whatever works for me may not necessary work for you.

OMG. i just got this straightener and i already love it! My hair is semi-normal hair. I used to have a superstar but it burned up within a year. This straightener makes my hair feel sooooo soft. My friends touch my hair and are like wow your hair is incredibly soft. I feel good about what i look like now.

The straightener is light weight and works well, however I returned mine.
I felt like it dried out my hair a little because it needs to use such high heat in order to straighten. Ofcourse when I try to use it on lower heat it is much less efficient.
Applying such high heat to your hair just CANT be a good thing.
Worth the money!

This hair straightener is fantastic! My hair is very thick (I usually have to get my hair thinned out at the hair dressers...and you can usually make a wig with all of the fallen out hair!!) and it frizzes out in humidity...so I always tie it back, but now there are no hasles. If I want to have straight hair before I go out,it only takes about 10 minutes. The Sedu hair straightener takes a few seconds to heat up and then it's ready to use. My hair is smooth, silky and soft! It's also really easy to manage. I highly recommend this product. I borrowed my sister's Sedu straightener and that's how I heard of it and decided to buy it.

I have been a CHI girl for years and was hesitant to try a new product, but I'm glad I did. I'm not sure the Sedu works any BETTER, but it definitely works FASTER. If I wash my hair the night before and let it air dry, I can get it reasonably straight in 8 minutes (my hair is in between wavy and curly and it's really, really thick). I don't notice any appreciable difference in shininess or the texture of my hair. One other hint . . . this iron gets even hotter than others that I've tried, you have to be careful not to burn your fingers/neck with your hair, and if you do touch your finger to the plate, run it under cold water right away!!!!

I love this hair straighter!!! It makes my hair soft and cuts my time in half. This product is as good as straightners will get. Ladies if your looking for a miracle than SEDU is not for you, or any hair straightner for that matter.

I can't say enough how awesome this flat iron is. I have always had trouble straightening my thick, frizzy hair. This iron makes it smooth as silk and it is so fast!! My hair takes so little time to do and I do less blow drying because the iron does all the work. I can also get away with going a couple of days without washing. Looks just as good when I wake up. Buy this iron!!

Heats up quickly and straightens my thick, coarse hair three times faster (and easier!) than any of the previous straighteners I've owned. If you're looking for a quality straightener, this one is worth the investment.

This is the best flat iron I have ever used! I am black and have soft, extremely curly, thick hair. Before I got the Sedu, straightening my hair would take about 1 and a half hours but now I can straighetn my hair in 45 minutes and it is so straight that it looks like Asian hair. No other straightening tool ever has gotten my hair as straight as the Sedu does. I can't articulate how this flat iron has improved my appearance and therefore I am much more self confident. Every woman of color should own this tool. It exceeded all my expectations. It works.

This is my second sedu. The first had cord connection problems at the swivel part and stopped working. They exchanged for me no problem but of course I paid the shipping both ways. Now the exact same problem occurs on the second one. I have sent numerous, numerous emails with absolutely no reply. Nothing, zippo! What's up with that??? Great iron, if it works. Be careful. I'm still waiting to hear from them.

Great iron! My girls love it. After dealing with cheap irons that take long to heat up and must be left on all day to saty hot, the new Sedu is awesome!

Great straightener but I wish it was wider; it would cut even more time off my hand. But I love how straight it gets my hair and even my sister's hair, who's hair is very coarse.
The only thing that sucked is that it gets so hot that it burns your fingers if it is not placed on lower on the handle.

I just want everyone to know that this hair straightener is the best I've ever used. I have ethnic hair that is thick and medium length and usually takes me 1 hour to straighten my hair from when its dry. I was so amazed when I was done. It took me about 20 mins to finish and the results were amazing. My hair was so straight, soft, and shiny. The Sedu really does promise what it says. I would recommend this product to all my friends and family, and to you. I'm a very happy customer :)

Wow! This straightener is the best thing that has ever happend to me!I bought it about a year ago and i was really nervous about ordering it off the internet. I thought maybe it would'nt be as great as it was made out to be, but it's amazing. I have hair down my back and it takes 7 minutes top's to straighten it and its still great the next day. I made all my friends buy one too! Even after one year it still heats up unlike my old CHI and Babyliss ones. My hair also hasnt been damaged by the iron although i do sugest putting some kind of heat protectant on your hair. Do your self a favour and buy this straightener!
PS- shipping was soo fast! I didnt think it would be so speedy considering I live in Canada but I was wrong.

I have owned the Sedu for one year and I love it. Hair dressers that I have gone to can't belive I straighten my hair because it is still so healthy and it comes out so nice and straight not fake looking. My only problem with it is that after a full year of continuous use (two-three times a week) it has somewhat broken but that could be my fault because I would wrap the cord around it when it cooled down (don't do that!). I live in Canada so it's kind of expensive to have it sent here but well worth it!
