I love this flat iron...I have major curly hair and at the root it is so kinky and I am able to straighten it perfectly straight, it does take time, but still its worth it and last for days....love it...worth every penny!

I have had this flat iron for over a year now. I was very impressed with it in the beginning. I have very thick urly frizzy hair. It got my hair pin straight but it took a long time. After time, it stopped working as well. Now the plates don't make perfect contact and I have to go over the smae strands a few times. For the money I would have expected it to last longer.

This really is the best flat iron. My first purchase was one from Wal-Mart and it pulled my hair out everytime I used it. The Sedu flat iron works fast and my hair style lasted all day long. I work on a beach and my hair didn't fall from the humidity or wind. This ones a keeper!

I've gone through a number of flat irons (both high end and drugstore variety); the only one that comes close to the Sedu is the Chi, in my opinion. I have long, thick, coarse, frizzy hair and this does the job in record time. Quite simply, it's a great flat iron. Highly recommend!

I have only been using the Sedu iron for a couple of months, but I just love it. I have chin-length course wavy hair and was worried about using an iron on it since I'm in the process of growing it out. However, it feels really good and I think it's better that I can just gently dry it with warm to cool air and then use the Sedu.
Previously, I had to wash and blow my hair dry to style it every day because it just doesn't do well overnight. It's always a wreck when I get up in the morning. But with the Sedu I can tame those kinks without having to put my hair through the wash & blow dry routine every day! And because it's smoother and straighter now it often doesn't need much straightening at all!
I used it on my mom's very wiry course frizzy hair and she was thrilled. She's never seen her hair look that smooth and under control. She's saving up to buy one of her own!
I highly recommend the Sedu. The only glitch I had was that the on/off switch is kind of tricky. I have to play with it a bit to get the light to stay on, but then it's usually fine. Every now & then it will kick of, but only rarely. I may exchange it since it's in warranty, but I like it so much I don't want to part with it!

Great Straightener! This product cuts my morning routine time in HALF. Quickly straightens hair and my hair stays straight all day. I live in Texas. The humidity here is horrible and my hair can't handle it. I have long wavy frizzy hair and this is the first straightener that has really worked for me.

Believe me, over the years I have tried every hair product and hair iron to combat my frizzy hair ~ the humidity just makes me look like "Ronald McDonald having a VERY bad hair day !"
I recently purchased a "Sedu" hair iron, ( and thought to myself: " oh, it will be just as adequate as all the others I have ever bought"....boy, was I wrong !!)
Whooeee !! The "Sedu" is simply the BEST ! I am SO glad that I purchased it. Not only does it heat up almost instantly, but it is light to use, has such a smooth ironing plate that it does not snag my hair, and it leaves it sleek and so smooth and it STAYS sleek and smooth, even with the summer humididty !

It makes my hair very straight since i have very curly hair. However, it also gives a lot of breakout, especially at the tip of my hair. Overall, it's pretty good!

It made my hair so straight and soft! I've never had a straightener that could take all the frizz out of my natural curly hair! I would suggest to anyone spending the money on this straightener! It's worth every penny!

I´m from Mexico, and I have a lot of curly hair, and this flat iron works really good on my hair, I don’t have the same results as the salon, but that´s not the fault of the iron, I’m not an expert. But I got a really good results, enough from keep me away from the salon …. The best one I ever use!!!.... and is not that hot as someone said, you can touch the front of the iron and no get burn.

The best thing about this iron is that it does not pull my hair, and does not seem to dry it out as other irons do. I also like the temperature settings, that allow me to make my hair pin straight or just relax it a little. However, it does not make my hair shiny straight like real straight hair (as others raved about), nor does it make my hair hold straight in humid weather -- I've used it twice now before going out near the beach (I live in LA), and my hair poofed out almost instantly. This might have something to do with my specific kind of hair -- very curly and very fine -- but after all the raves reviews, I am a bit disappointed.

This flatiron passes every test in my book. It is better than any of the other flatiron in my closet. And I have purchased a few. I have very thick hair and what the Sedu does is amazing. Yesterday I went outside in 100% humidity and it was still stick straight. That gets an A+ in my book
