The Sedu straightner is GREAT! I have thick, course, naturally curly hair, and dyed, so you could imagine how crapy my hair looks without being straightened! The sedu works wonders. It straightens and takes away the frizzy! My hair is a completely new texture after using this product. I recommend it! I used a hair straigtener from Italy called amazing inventions. The sedu works better than that and is less costly!

This is the best flat iron I have ever encountered. My hair is naturally curly, so of course, I like it straight. I have never been able to achieve the results that my hair profession does until now. I used to have to blow dry my hair straight and then use a flat iron to get the desired style, and then it wouldn't hold in the humid climate in which I live. With the Sedu, I can let my hair dry naturally and then flat iron. The style holds all day without any frizzies. My only complaint is that I didn't find this product years ago.

wow!! this is the best ever!! i have thick wavy hair and with my old conair straightener it took me hours to straighten my hair!! With the Sedu it only took me about 15 minuttes!!! you should really buy it, it is soo worth the money!!!

I got this straightener for a Christmas gift and I loveeeed it. Unfortunately, I dropped it onto the floor a couple days later. It broke, but I had a waranty.(sp?) So I sent it back, and I recieved another a few days later. It worked great, it didn't pull my hair or get caught. My hair is normally extremely frizzy and dry and it made my hair soft and shiny. I don't know what happened but it started shutting off while I was using it and it started sparking. Finally it just broke completely. I'm devestated that it's broken cause now I have to use a cheap hair straightener until I have enough money to buy another one of these.
I highly reccomend this flat iron. Just be extremely gentle to it, It's very delicate.

I purchased a Sedu and I absolutely love it! The only problem I had was after a few months, it stopped working. I called customer service and the woman that I spoke with was very helpful and told me exactly what I needed to do without hassling me. I returned my Sedu and within 5 days, I had a new one that works perfectly!

i have the sedu on high heat but it doesn't work as good as my previous ceramic iron. i had the hai 3" and after 5yrs it just stop turning on. it had a good run for the price i paid and i figured i could go for another brand but that didn't work out so well. im going to purchase chi next and see if that will be to my liking...

I am an African-American with long thick hair. My coarse hair is chemically straightened and the Sedu works so-so on the highest level. It works just as well as a hot-n-gold. The only selling point is the light weight design of the Sedu. It allows you to straightened hard to reach places like the back of your head without your arms getting tired.
Also, the ceramic plates smooth frizzy hair without snagging. If you have frizzy or wavy fine hair, then this is the product for you.
For those with ethnic hair, this product straightens ok, but you are not going to achieve the "bone-straight hair falling-in my eyes" texture that those with fine hair have.

I have been searching for a good flat iron for a REALLY long time. I have really thick curly hair and every time I buy a flat iron, it never really makes it look naturally straight, and they always made it poofy. BUT, the SEDU is AWSOME. Not only does it make it the straightest my hair has EVER been, but it makes it shiney and flat!! IT rocks, I reccommend it to anyone who has been searching for a really GREAT flat iron!!!

This straightening iron heats up in seconds, and has amazing results. I have more hair than anyone I have ever met, it is the length of my entire back, it has mixed textures, and is incredibly thick. This iron is able to straighten my hair in 15 minutes! That is really incredible! I would definitely encourage the investment to buy this iron!

When I first read the reviews ont this iron I decided to give it a try. I've been straightening my hair for 10 yrs now. The first time I straightened my hair with this iron I was shocked! It took less time, it did not snag my hair and my hair was straighter than ever no curls or waves. It also leaves your hair shiny and silky soft. I will never use another iron again and people are shocked to hear that my hair is actually curly. no one belives me. A friend thought that I had gotten extensions since she couldn't belive my hair was that straight. A must have for all curly hair.

I did not want to spend the money for the Sedu flat iron but I am very glad I did. It is the best flat iron I have ever used. My hair is in great shape. Yay.

i was used to the 'crap de jour' conair straighteners and then my mom bought me this and it took me 10 minutes to straighten my hair, whichi s amazing since my hair's so thick and wavy. your hair stays stick straight until you wash it too. my hairdresser told me about this straightener and spossedly it does alot less damage to your hair than a chi but works just as good, if not, better. i've used alot of flat irons and this one is the best by far.

I recently purchased this flat iron because of all the great reviews on this site-and they were right on target!
I really didn't want to spend this kind of money on a flat iron-but, boy was it worth it! I have bought other, cheaper, flat irons, and they just do not do the job! And, in what I spent trying to find the right one, I could have already purchased this one!
This flat iron is great! I have fairly coarse, frizzy, big hair and this straightens it right out! I went to my hairdresser recently, and he was impressed with the results, and said my hair looked healthier! And, I live in a high humidity area, and my hair stays straight until I wash it.
I would highly recommend this flat iron-it is worth the price! And Folica is a great company, with really fast shipping! No problems here at all. I also received the free flat iron pouch, which I also love.

I have owned two flat irons in the past (both in Australia) one Babyliss ($120) and one Revlon ($50). Both would take 5-6 goes through my hair before it was straight, then with a tiny bit of humidity it would curl again. It was very disappointing and annoying, and made me wary of purchasing another flat iron. This is why I decided to buy a professional iron, and after reading the reviews of the Sedu I was sold. I was looking at the GHD because in Australia everyone raves about it (and it has great reviews here) but it was just a bit too expensive.
The sedu keeps my hair straight for two days, and looks great the entire time. I've had so many compliments on my hair since buying the iron, I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Plus, all other irons I'd used snagged my hair - the Sedu just glides right through.
My one complaint is that postage to Canada is a total rip-off. Some places in America are further away than Vancouver, but if I'd lived there I would have gotten free postage.
