Product Rating: 5 Wow!

I received my new Sedu flat iron for X-mas and I love it. I had been using a Wigo, but it pulled my hair fairly bad. I was amazed at how small and light the Sedu is. It heats up very quickly and cools down fast as well. It is easy on my hair and does a great job of straightening. It also leaves my hair very shiny. I would absolutely recommend the Sedu flat iron.

this straightener does nothing that it says it does. i just got it and tried it and it made my hair frizzier and doesnt even straighten. i had to go over it about 3 times. im very disappointed and am going to return it now. ive used nice straighteners before like the chi and hai and trust me.. this is not the best one. The sedu doesnt even compare and its only about a $10 difference.

Product Rating: 4 best flat iron, so far

I have used a wiggo flat iron (ceramic peeled) and was planning to invest in a chi iron, but after reading the reviews, I decided to try the sedu. It has only been a few weeks, but it works great. It is very light weight, heats up fast and the cord is extra long. My hair is thick with stubborn waves, and it straightens out pretty quickly.

What a wonderful invention!!! I have naturally curly, fine hair. This tool is excellent for straightening without any frizz. I love it. When I want my hair to be perfectly straight, this works perfectly...it heats up quickly and is very easy to use.

I bought the Sedu ceramic flat iron for my daughter for Christmas. It is incredible! All her friends are jealous and come over here to use it as often as they can. It straightens her hair in a fraction of the time her old Chi iron took, plus leaves it soft and silky ... it's truly an amazing product. I would recommend that everyone forget about all the other brands and just buy a Sedu!

Product Rating: 5 Great Hair straightner
Reviewer: Mary Ellen from Rhode Island  Tue Jan 11 2005

I purchased this hair product for my 13 year old daughter. Her hair is not really curly but can be very frizzy. She LOVES this product. She has asked for a straightner for 2 years. When I finally relented I wanted to buy a good one beacause $40 on one that doesn't really work is $40 wasted. I was hesitant on spending $100 but I have to say it was worth it. This was her big Christmas gift and she said it was the bst gift she has gotten. He hair looks wonderful and has helped her confidence. She says it is easy to use and has had a lot of compliments on her hair. I would highly recommend this product.

I'm black with relaxed hair and i thought this flat iron would really help me out. I mean, here in Houston, it gets extremely humid. In fact, just today my cheer coach made us run outside and when i came back in, my hair was a frizz ball. So when my flat iron came today, I was so excited. When I tried it out, the results were definitely not what I had pictured, but not bad. I used to have a gold n' hot flat iron and the sedu was definitely better than it but paying 98.95 for these results werent all i had hoped for. i thought that since the features were so appealing that it would be a great iron, but im sure an iron slightly cheaper like the hai or solia could have done the same job. i wont lie and say this is a bad iron, because im sure on the right kind of hair it would deliver amazing results. But on my hair, it didnt give me the results i was looking for. Im not going to return it, but I will just say nothing can get my hair lookin great like my stylist's oven flat iron.

Product Rating: 5 Great Iron

I have used it few times by now and really love it. After getting the Thermal recondition done, my hair got really dried. I guess the process was not done right. But after using this iron, hair gets really smooth, silky and last till the next shampoo. I haven't used any other iron yet, but so far I am very happy with this one.

Product Rating: 4 Great but 1" is better
Reviewer: Dolly from dallas  Mon Jan 10 2005

I do love this product. My only complaint is how hot it gets on the outside. I have to use one hand and not touch the tip.

I ordered the 1 1/2 " and returned it.( My $$$ was refunded witouth any questions.)
I pln to buy the 1" inch. I think it will be easirer to handle even with my long curly hair besides I like to curl the ends and I found it more difficult with the bigger one.

Product Rating: 3 not as great as the reviews say
Reviewer: avamarie from NYC  Fri Jan 07 2005

I tried the Sedu thinking it would be great from the other reviews and was disappointed. It didn't seem to get too hot or to do anything to my hair that a hair dryer couldn't do (and I have extremely curly hair). I am thinking about returning it.

I have lots of fine, stringy hair. I have tried several brands (jilbere, chi, hot tools, conair... the chi was the best of these) and nothing compares to the Sedu for me. The Chi did a nice job and left my hair straight but it left my hair feeling dry and just blah. The Sedu leaves my hair pin straight, feeling like SILK with a mirror like finish. I cannot begin to describe the difference in my hair when I use the Sedu. I get so many compliments now. The other plus is that the temperature I use my Sedu on is much lower than the Chi which I feel is better for my hair.

It is lightweight, easy to use and heats up in no time. What are you waiting for... you NEED this iron!

I actually bought this hair straightner for my girlfriend. She actually said it works really well. So I guess this is a good product.

I love this flat iron. It makes hair styling so much easier.

Product Rating: 5 Better than Solano Sapphire
Reviewer: M.Rose from NYC  Wed Dec 29 2004

Wow! I got my order only a day and a half after ordering it on-line. Originally I intended on purchasing the CHI but not after reading all the positive reviews on the Sedu. Because my hair is fine I use the low, 160 setting (to prevent hair damage), I have to pass it more than once but it takes me 10 minutes to get naturally straight looking hair!

Product Rating: 5 great buy
Reviewer: Tyler from MS  Tue Dec 28 2004

I bought one of these for my girlfriend and she loves it. She has only had to straighten her hair once in almost four days, and it's still straight. Even when she wore it in a ponytail, and it didn't even leave a crease. And, it's also a bit cheaper than some of the competitors that got less engouraging reviews. I would suggest this for anybody, because even she would tell you, her hair is pretty tough to straighten out. She told me that it took her somewhere around two hours to get it straight. Now she can do it in no time at all. She is more than satisfied, and I can't be happier. Especially for it's price, it is well worth the money.

I have only used the Sedu straightener a couple of times, but it has worked excellent. At first I was skeptical because of the price, but it is worth every cent. It leaves my hair extremely smooth and very healthy looking. So many people asked me where i got my hair done or how long ago i had got it cut. The results are amazing, and i urge you to buy this!

Reviewer: Rachel from Los Angeles, CA  Mon Dec 27 2004

I've had this flat iron for about 3 weeks now and it works great. It's definitely worth the money. I looked at the other reviews on this site and chose this product based upon the feedback I saw. My friend has the Chi and raves about it. The reviews on this site weren't so great on the Chi and it was a little more expensive than this one. If you want to invest I'd say get the Sedu.

Hi! My husband bought me this flat iron. I'm 24 I have taken most of the curl out of my hair with matrix straightners but in the very back i have like a kinda curly crimp look. But when I got this OH MY GOSH! it works like nothing i have ever used. I have used balms, wax, you name it and I have used it i have really thin baby fine hair and i have to becareful with what i use on it and i also have blonde highlights so i really have to be careful.

I had a vidal sassoon iron but it broke my hair everytime i used it,and it was ruining it so i started looking for a iron and i found this one and i love it its so worth the money it doesnt break my hair and it only takes one time with useing it on each lock of my hair. my hair is shiny, silky, and soo straight and it lasts till you wash it the next day. i know this sounds like it doesnt work but it does. I wouldnt take anything for it! Thanks Folica.
