It is a wonderful tool! There is a HUGE difference between an inexpensive one and an expensive one. It is well worth the money - heats up in 30 seconds and is easy to use.

I was not sure which size to buy so I decided to try them both. I preferred the one inch even though I have long hair.
In general it is excellent product. I could not believe how great my hair looked with "salon" qulaity results. Highly recomend it A+++++++++. I have very thick and kinky hair by the way.I used to pay $40 to get the same result in salongs so this will save me lots of money now. The only problem may be that the I could not use it to curl the ends so I will look into curling irons now.

Awesome flat iron. I like it much better than the chi and it straightens my hair in 10 minutes every day with the salon finish look. I absolutely love it. It is definitely worth the money.

The Sedu hair straightening iron is the best I've used. It does not drag or pull your hair. My hair is naturally coarse and wavy. I use it every day and now my hair is shinier and straighter than ever before. I love this straightening iron and would recommend it to everyone who wants to have the best looking hair they've ever had.

I really like the Sedu. I first ordered the Solia and it was good, but it wasn't what I was hoping for. However, I really like the Sedu. It makes my hair so pretty and straight!

This thing works wonders. My hair is so straight and it even looks healthier when before I had a cheapo straightner and my hair just looked fried. Great purchase.

when i first got this straightener i was TOTALLY amazed!! it was awesome, it straighened my hair 10 times better than any other straightener and it took less time. it also made my hair shiny and not too flat which i think is a good thing.. but i guess i dropped it one too many times and now it sucks.. one of the plates is seriously about to fall out and wiggles back and forth everytime i move it. it also switches off and on so im never totally sure if its working. the heat is also never as hot as it used to be. now it takes much longer and doesnt look nearly as well.. but in the beginning i would have definitely have given it 5 stars...

After reading all the reviews comparing Sedu with CHI, I was scared away from CHI because of all the negative reviews about problems people had after a short time (such as it not heating up, plates falling off, electrical problems). I couldn't be happier with the Sedu. It's so lightweight and easy to use. For the first time, I'm using a product that actually gives me the same results I got from my stylist when she straightened my hair, and it takes me about half the time that I thought it would.

Just like the Chi, SUCKS. Just like all the others. Quits working after a few months. A waste of money. Piece of crap.

I have been waiting to write my review to make sure my take on it was correct. I have had the sedu for a month now. When I got it it did look cheap, but it works great. It does leave my hair looking more healthy than the chi for sure. I stilll have to go over the spot several times to get it straight even on the highest setting, but in my opinion it is better than the chi. I would like to add that Folica is an excellent site to buy from, they were super fast and my order was correct. I would use them over any other hair product site for sure.

Received flat iron on time; no damages noted. The Sedu definitely works better than my old Superstar flat iron; it's easier to manuever & the Sedu plates are super smooth - I'm impressed =)

I absolutely LOVE my Sedu Straightener!!! I have another high end/expensive straightener that doesn't even come close to the quality of the Sedu!
I have naturally curly hair and 4 years ago decided to try a straightening solution at the salon. Hands down, the Sedu has straightening solutions/systems beat! There's nothing like it and I'll never go back to time consuming, straightening systems again. With today's hair products and straighteners like this, anyone with curly hair can have gorgeous straight hair with fabulous results!

My interest peaked in getting a great flat iron when I used my friend's Chi. I have pretty straight hair, but the Chi made it straighter. My next predictament was when i looked for Chi, there was a million different products... until I went to this website (folica)and read everyone's review. At first,I wanted to stick with something I was familiar with but I didn't want the flat iron to break down in a year... so I ventured out and got the Sedu.
OMG - like everyone says, it literally changed my life. I usually put my hair in a ponytail and call it a day, but I see myself wanting to use the Sedu flat iron more often because of the dramatic results.
I literally have converters - from everything conair, chi, revlon etc. I have shared this with all my friends and they think it's an amazing product b/c not only does it straighten it, it makes it soft and healty. We tried it with short, long, fine, coarse, curly, and flat hair and everyone concurs, it's a product you can't live with out.
The pouch is awesome too. When i came back from the club, I found it sitting on the pouch with virtually no holes or indications that i left it on for that long on the pouch... it basically saved my apt since the flat iron gets soo hot so quick. It's also great to travel with!
Get the SEDU!!!

I do not know how I every got ready without this straightener. I had read the reviews and had tried my friends Chi straightener. Upon reading the reviews, it seems the Chi's durability is not that great. I was a little worrried about getting the Sedu, as I knew nothing about this product. Anyway I decided to go on and give the Sedu a chance. It is great! No more frizzies! I even used it on my cousins hair which is extremely naturally curly and for the first time she had straight hair which did not curl back up by the end of the day.

I USED TO HAVE THE REMMINGTON WET TO STRAIGHT FLAT IRON , IT GOT MY HAIR PERFECTLY STARIGHT BUT RIGHT WHNE I STEPOED OUTSIDE IT WOULD GET WAVY :[, SO I BOUGHT REDKEN SMOOTH DOWN SERUM AND THAT KEPT IT KINDA STARIGHT THROUGH HUMIDITY, BUT THEN I BOUGHT THIS FLAT IRON AND NOW MY HAIR STAYS COMPLETLY STRAIGHT THROUGHT THE TUFFEST HUMIDTY :]

I was hesitant to buy any flat iron at the price, but after alot of research, I decided to go with the Sedu. I have been very happy with my choice. I have had mine for about two months and it works very good, not only on my hair but also on my daughters. We all have very different hair textures and its great for all. Thanks Sedu!

The Sedu is so much better than the Chi I had. I had the Chi for about a year before it broke and loved how it made my hair. However, the Sedu is much more amazing. My hair has never been softer after using a straightener than it is with this product. Taking the same precautions for my hair as I did with the Chi, I find this product much better. It seems to get hotter which works better to straighten my naturally ultra-curly hair. I am extremely satisfied.

It works wonderfully, makes my hair shiny and straight. I don't even have to wait long for the iron to heat up. I really like the fact that it's light in weight. Great product! Well worth the $$.

I have tried several different flat irons of ranging prices, and this is by far the best one i have used. It can turn your hair from frizzy, curly, or wavy to completely straight in no time. It also makes your hair look silky and healthy, not dried out or damaged at all. It heats up almost immediately and has a little blinking light to tell you when its ready. It is also very leightweight;even lighter than other flat irons its size. I wouldn't trade it for any other straightener!
Great for all types of hair!

I am African American, and I recently cut the perm out of my hair, leaving me with a couple of inches that I normally wear in two strand twists. I ordered the Sedu after talking to my cousin and reading the reviews (specifically the ones wigh African American hair) on this site. One word: amazing. It got my thick, kinky, and course hair straighter than it was when I had a perm. I used it in conjunction with BioSilk (I've been using that for years), and my hair was so straight, that my friends and parents asked me why I cut all of my hair off, and put a perm in it again! I have so far convinced four of my friends to order one. P.S.: I loved my Folica.com experience. I got the iron very quickly, and in great condition.
