I've been using the Chi for about a year, but I decided to give Sedu a try. From all the rave reviews, I expected my hair to be shiny and much better than the Chi. I was a little dissapointed when I had first recieved it. I'm not sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me, but the Sedu looked a lot smaller than the Chi. I liked how Sedu had different heat settings, but my hair didn't straighten as quickly. I had it on the highest setting. I might just buy another Chi.

I bought the Sedu to replace my broken HAI that I was in love with thinking that the Sedu would live longer than the three years my HAI did. Unfortunately, I've been noticing lately that my hair looks brittle and dry after I've straightened it... I'm beginning to think it's because of the Sedu that I've been using for about 4 months. I would definitely recommend the HAI, because I'm planning on buying a new one as soon as possible. If you're switching brands in hopes of finding something better but already like what you have, trust me, stick with what you have.

I love this product...it's easy to control the temperture for any type of hair and does a good job on curly hair...and the mat is very helpful and you don't have to be worrying about if you burning any surface so you can concentrate on your hair instead!!

I have tried everything possible under the sun including re bonding at a beauty salon for $500.00 I thought nothing could work until I saw an ad on the internet for the Sedu. I live on Guam a tropical island almost like Hawaii We have very humid and unpredictable weather. I bought the Sedu and thought "I've tried everything, why not?" After seeing all the good reviews and comparing different flat irons to the Sedu I was convienced. I took a chance and bought it. After using it the first day everyone including my friends and family were surprised. They all thought I went to a salon. Not only did it look so good the time it took for me to do my hair was less than 10 mins. Hair lenght is about mid back. Thank you so much you have saved so much money on touch ups and my hair is not in contact with all of those chemicals.

I love this straightener. I've been using cheap ones from walmart and target. NEVER AGAIN! My hair stylist told me that my ends are fried! She has to give me deep conditioning treatment and I use pureology shampoo and conditioner (which is awesome by the way). Anywho.. i bought this because she had recommended the Chi, but after looking at all of the reviews i got the 1 inch Sedu. i can't compare it to Chi but i LOVE IT. makes my hair more healthy and it STAYS exactly how i style it in the morning. i want to try to make curls with it, or maybe curl my hair out.
I do recommend a couple of things though: use some kind of liquid in your towel dry hair to avoid burn. i used heat glide or whatever its called from redken. i also use their uv protection spray. after i run that in my hair i blow dry it and straighten it. it works incredibly. i see my stylist next week to do my color and i can't wait to see what she says. i know that she'll notice a difference.
i don't know how long the straightener will last. i've only had it for 2 days, but i know it works wonders. very great buy.. especially if you've been using cheap straighteners from cvs, walmart and target.

Br far this is the best flat iron I have ever used. I have hi-lighted hair with ends that tend to be fuzzy.
NOT ANYMORE..... Sedu gave me shiny, glossy staight hair.
NO flyaways, fuzzies or frizz. It does not pull snag or break my hair. WORTH THE $$$$$$.

i was very happy with the reviwes i read about the sedu straightener.. and i was even more excited when it came in the mail 2 days after i ordered it! then i decided to try it out right away.. omg i cant even explain how satisfied i was.. i have very curly hair and ive tried to many straightners to count.. but none of them work as well as the sedu, and they always seem to fry and dry out your hair.. unlike the sedu.. it gives your hair a smoother, softer look and feel. i would definately recomend this straightener to anyone who is in need for one. its worth the money!

I recently owned the solia 1 1/4" hair straightener but I like my new sedu 1" straightener much better. It is much lighter than the solia and I find it works much better and faster. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a good hair straghtener. My hair is shoulder length with layers and it is perfect to flip it under or flip it out. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I ordered the 1" sedu from Folica.com and it is the best investment I have ever made for my hair - My hair is semi curly wavy and when the humid weather starts it is just a disaster - I had originally bought a $50.00 flat iron at Sally's Beauty Supply last year and I thought that was alot of money - It worked OK, but nothing like the sedu - This product really works great! Makes my hair soft and straight and looks like I just left the salon - It doesn't pull your hair out either like my old one did - Would definately spend the money again when the time comes for a new one and I will purchase it through Folica.com -

I got my Sedu for a birthday present. I have course, relaxed African American hair and I was looking for something that would straighten my hair without damageing it. After reading all the great results from this site, I decided I wanted this iron. This iron is actually a very nice iron. It doesn't snag or pull at my hair and once I found the right temperature for my hair type I found that it doesn't burn my hair either. This iron does the job and works alot better than my old flat iron I bought from sally's. The results still weren't the same as salon quality but it did its job.

My new Sedu flat iron is wonderful. I purchased it after reading other reviews and am so glad I did. It works perfectly and is exactly like the one my hairdresser used as far as how quickly it heats up, and how quickly it smooths my hair. My hair is fine so I use the medium heat setting. My daughter has very thick hair so I use the highest setting and it works instantly on hers too. The Revlon flat iron didn't work on her hair at all. I think that says it all about the Sedu. It really is the BEST. Thanks.

Just purchased this iron for my fiance who swore by CHI products. After using the Sedu product, she was so happy with the results that she returned the CHI that she had bought only two days prior. Awesome product that more than lived up to the hype!

It's amazing, light-weight. Heats up in seconds! Best iron ever owned. Long lasting results!-- I keep my hair straight all the time, with other irons I would look at the floor and see tons of hair lost. Other Irons cling and pull out hair. My hair was also very dry and damaged. The results never lasted and I would have to fix it only a couple of hours later. Now with the Sedu, My hair seems shinier and healthier and the results last so that I don't need to touch it up! Must buy!

Like most others i saw the great reviews on this straightner so i had to buy it. The first time i used it it was amazing!it worked wonders, but about the 4 th time i used it it wasnt that much better then my old one. It does work well don't get me wrong, but i guess i was just expecting something more

I recently purchased the Sedu Straightner after my Chi straightner stopped working. I personally think it works just as well as the Chi staightner. I would recommend this product.

I recieved the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Straightener (1") about a month ago, expecting it to work like all my other $10-$50 flat irons but it actually worked pretty nicely. The iron heated up quickly and ,although my hair was already straight, it made mine feel silkier. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star was because since the Plate Width was only 1 inch it took a while to finish my hair.

I just got my Sedu and I love it! I ordered the Solia 2 years ago and it just recently stopped working. It was a great iron but I saw the reviews for Sedu and I just had to try it. The Sedu, is lighter, and although it's temperature doesn't reach Solia's highest, it seems to work much better! You can squeeze it tighter which creates straighter results and allows you to curl your ends under so easily. It also leaves your hair shinier and seems to hold the straight style in humidity. With Solia you can create great results but if it's humid outside, you may as well forget it. Anyway, I love it!!! Oh and if you live in NJ, it comes the next day!!!
