This is the BEST hair straightener I have ever used. It heats up in record timing and straightens my ends better than if I had it done in the salon! This product is top notch and I highly recommend it!

I was impressed with the quality of the product. The plates are as smooth as glass and that makes for smoother hair. I absolutely love it and have recommended it to several friends who use "another name brand".
Amazing!

I've been using the Sedu 1" Straightener for a few months now, and am very happy with it. I let my hair air dry then use the iron, and it turns my thick, coarse, curly/frizzy hair into a sleek, soft and smooth style in under half an hour. It's the first iron I've used so I can't compare it to others, but I'm very impressed with both the results and ease of use and recommend it to all.

After reading all the positive reviews, I broke down and bought this flatiron---I've not been dissapointed. It heats up in seconds, and there's no way you could ever get hair as straight and smooth with an OTC flatiron. For example, I have a Conair ceramic straightener, and although it works well, the Sedu is 100x better. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

Overall, this is a great flat iron. But even more impressive is the service that Folica provides. Initially, the flat iron shorted out on me after using it for about 6 months. When I called Folica to tell them about it, they had my information on file and I was able to exchange it for a new one without any hassles. I haven't had a problem with my current flat iron since. These flat irons are so expensive, it's important to be able to deal with a store that will follow through with excellent service.

I am super impressed by the Sedu. My hair is straight is 5 mins and stay straight even a day later.
I have owned a GHD (from Europe) and Wigo Straightner, and the Sedu far exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend this straightner.

I recently purchased the Sedu 1". LOVE IT! I'm African American and I'm letting my relaxed hair go natural. This flat iron makes quick work of straightening my hair. It looks and feels like a salon job! My niece is bi-racial--Filipino and Black. Her curly little ringets are no match for the Sedu. It powers through her butt length hair in no time. She's look so beautiful with curls but she likes having it straight too. She's 11 and it's really important to her now to have mmanageable hair. The Sedu gives her that. I just want to know how I lived without it all this time! If you're thinking about it....JUST GET IT! It will pay for itself in the trips to the salon you save. Now you can do it like the pros yourself. Even my 11 year old can!TIP: BioSilk Therapy is essential for smooth, flowing, shakeable hair. (That's the salon's secret!) You can also use Ojon's glosser spray--works nicely too.

This 1" iron works very well. It heats quickly, heats evenly and does not pull on your hair. The travel case is a plus. Many people said that there was a power problem with the 'no tangle' power cord. I have only had mine for 3 weeks so there is no problem as yet. I was a bit perturbed to see that the power cord is not included in the warranty. If it is a problem, then it should be fixed rather than eliminated from warranty protection. That would show concern for the consumer. At $120.00 it is not cheap, especially if it only lasts a year.

I am an AA woman with natural hair and the sedu makes me look as if I just had a fresh perm. It's really great and worth every penny. It takes me about 30 minutes to straighten my hair after I have washed and blow dryed it. It allows you to really get the roots of your hair, but you may need a hot comb if you want your front edges to not be frizzy at all, but I haven't had to use one. I love my Sedu!!

The Sedu Straightener is definitely worth the money! I receive compliments on my hair every time I use it! I love the ease and smoothness of using it and the fact that it doesn't pull my hair like other models. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who asks!

I really like this Hair Straightener. The ceramic is smooth and flattens my wayward hair nicely. I live in Florida and the humidity is murder - since changing to this straightener I've seen a noticeable difference in my hair - this flattener makes it skinny and smooth. My only negative comment and the only reason I did not give it five stars is that the plastic on the top and bottom of the iron get so hot that if you touch that area you can burn your fingers. I expect a burn when I touch the ceramic - but not the plastic.
Highly Recommend

My daughter and I both have very curly hair. This flat iron straightens it with one pass, and leaves your hair looking shiny and healthy. We are very satisfied with the product. The price isn't too bad either. Worth it's weight in gold!
SEDU is absolutely fantastic

I'm 33 years old and had finally accepted my VERY VERY tight curls but on my last visit to my stylist she said she wanted to "play" and see if I liked the straight look. She used a CHI iron. It was good and I loved how it felt! She gave me a great cut which worked for my hair either curly or straight and suggested I go get a CHI iron. I came to this site and read the reviews. SEDU sounded like it might be worth a try (plus I got free shipping)
I am so glad I choose SEDU over the CHI. I did my own long hair in about 25 minutes, including the blow out time, about 10 minutes less than my stylist using a CHI.
I've only had it for 3 days and I'm sold, best money I've spent in a long time. I'm getting my daughter and two friends all a SEDU for christmas. I'm also gonna take it to my stylist to try on my hair, maybe I'll convert her!!
Like I said, I have very tight ringlet curls and my length is about 2 inches below my shoulders curly and about 5-6 inches below when straight. The 1" workes perfectly and offers great control. I can leave the ends flat or flip them over or under.
I strongly recommend the Sedu iron.
