I don't know what I did all these years without a flat iron! This one is absolutely fantastic. I have thick, course hair and it straightens it perfectly. I have not stopped using it since the day I bought it and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Definitely a terrific buy. I would recommend this flat iron above all others.

I love this flat iron! It is very smooth, and does not pull my hair like some other irons I have used. The only negative thing about this product is it does not have an automatic shut off, so you have to remember to turn it off when you are done.

I was somewhat skeptical on buying this flat iron at first but it works so good. I have a CHI and was just not satisfied with the results. The sedu is so light and much easier to use. The results are straight hair. My hair is wavy with some curl and very thick..Hate it. With the sedu, I don't have that problem anymore. Definitely recommend it.

I am order this flat iron for my daughther and I. My daughter has extremely tight curls and I could not believe the outcome. This flat iron has saved me from many unhappy moments with my daughter. Combing her is hair is a breeze. I have tried the "CHI" flat iron before but the "Sedu" take her super curly hair to straight hair in seconds.

Thats what I thought after reading all the rave reviews about this product. I had been doing research on all types of straighteners to find ones that would tame my really thick, unruly, coloured and wavy hair. I came across this site, with all of its positive reviews and said these are the ones for me....
The reviews did not fail the product, im over the moon.
Straight, glossy and hair that people comment on - thats me now.
P.S. The straighteners were a gift to myself for reaching a weightloss goal, which means I have an ongoing reminder about both successes.

Being a hairstylist I'm always looking for the next thing that can make haristyling quicker and promote healthy hair. I first used this iron when a customer bought it in to show it to me. I heated up in like 20 seconds and it was so lightweight. I've loved it from the time that i first used it so i ordered myself one. i use it everyday and my hair has such shine and is so soft. I have short hair and the 1 inch is perfect for the flip/spike or basic bump under. This product is wonderful and i recommend that everyone try it! It is amazing on African American hair!

This is the greatest straightening iron ever made!!! Just a light retouch in the morning will give you the just-out-of-the-salon look!! I love it and wouldn't change it for anything in the world!

I bought this straightener because I had not found a bad review about it and now I know why! This is amazing, my hair is so perfect and its not damaged at all. My hair is normally so pouffy it is out the edges of my shoulders but now its perfect and when I used to straighten my hair it would take an hour because my hair is SO thick but now it takes 20 minutes tops!

I have TONS of hair. It's so thick that a normal curling iron doesn't even begin to work on it. Also, I have some gray hair which is naturally coarse and wiry. The Sedu is just incredible in the way it makes my hair soft, smooth (no wiry 'springs' sticking up on top!) and soooo straight. I was a little concerned when I found out these things heat to over 400 degrees. Who wants fried hair? I've not had a single problem with that. I imagine if you don't keep it moving smoothly it might burn. I've never purchased a professional flat iron before so I really have nothing to compare this to but I can't imagine a product working better than this one. This has truly been a lifesaver (being over-dramatic) and a timesaver (being honest) because it's so FAST. I don't have to keep going over and over my hair. Once is enough. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a high quality iron that follows through on what it promises. I'm VERY pleased. Thanks Folica!!

I am a freelance hair and make up aritst (and photographer) that travels doing Editorial shoots, print, film, and the like... I have used MANY flat irons ( yes a chi..... I am not a casual user)....and decided to give this one a whirl! WOW..... it is very LIGHT in weight! the wrists and arms gotta love that! The slimness of this iron is espeically good at getting the hairline colicks around the face. I am thinking the 2 inch wide iron would be great for those super long haired girls that need the quick touch-ups... it would go soooo much quicker! The cord is nice and long and very supple....that is VERY important to me... heats up nice and quick, with a bous of getting to choose how hot you want it! As with any flat iron... if you are using a product that even slightly builds up on the surface of the plates... it will snag! choose your product carefully... and it is a dream! Good Luck!

I am latina and I have very short thick wavy and curly hair. I have kept my hair short for about 15 years and now I decided to make a change and let it grow shoulder length at most. When younger I had long hair and the time to spend 2 hours blow drying my hair to make it look straight and to wash it daily. Of course, when your hair is so short as mine was letting it grow is a horror because it has to go through that "ugly phase". I had hair like a boy!!! I wanted to be able to let it grow, have it straight and not have to wash my hair daily. I looked into Japanese hair straightening but my hair is still not long enough, maybe once it's shoulder length. I researched for days to buy the BEST ceramic flat iron in the market. I bought the Sedu and I love it. I also bought the CHI Silk Infusion and the BioSilk Therapy as well as the CHI Hair Shine Spray. I now wash my hair every other day and when I do use the Sedu the results last for 2 days. Last weekend it snowed here in NY and my hair got a little wet but it stood straight. Amazing!!! My hair is straight and shiny even after sleeping on it. I have to take care of my ends because we all know curly hair is dry hair so I moisturize really well. I am very pleased. People at work compliment me all the time on my new straight hair. Overall, I think it was the best decision I made. No regrets!!!

After purchasing 3 cheaper straighteners in the last 2 years and being disappointed with the results, I tried the Sedu. It's the best. My hair just glides through the plates like silk. And it straightens like no other one I've used. I wish I had purchased Sedu first and saved myself some money and frustration!

Purchased 2 Sedu Ionic flat irons, one for each of my daughters. Both were very satified with the product, and use them regularly.On one the plastic housing on the plug somehow became cracked. After contacting Folica for warranty information they e-mailed my proof of purchase and instructions on returning it right away. Both original purchase was very timely, and the new replacement they sent was quickly received. We are very satisfied with the products and excellent customer service.

The Sedu is Heaven Sent! I am an African-American woman with very thick coarse hair. Plus, I have not had a perm in nearly 9 months. The Sedu Works Wonders! After I used it, I got so many compliments about how great, healthy and wonderful my hair looks. Everyone says that it has so much body and bounce. I can't stop looking at my hair. I only have to use it once per week after washing my hair, I wrap it up like a doobie and my hair stays looking great for the entire week. Thanks Sedu, this was the best $ I've spent, and I'm saving by not having to go to the salon.

I have only owned this for about a month now, however after owning about 5 of these over the past 8 years, this one is definitely the best quality I've had so far. Whether this thing lasts an entire year (unlike many others I've had) is yet to be seen. The problem with most of these flat irons is that they don't stand up to every day use over time. I've had power issues with similarly priced ones, but this one has a reset button on the plug like many hair dryers which gives me some hope in that department.

I bought this flat iron on a whim because I was extremely frustrated with styling my hair. I have long fine, wavy (more frizzy than anything else) hair that usually flips up with the slightest humidity. Despite my attempts at blow drying and styling my hair with salon products, it was still very frizzy. The Sedu flat iron has transformed my hair, making it smooth, silk and healthy. Now, I do not even need to blow dry it. I can let my hair air dry, style it with the flat iron, and it looks like I spent the day in the hair salon. Be sure to use a fortifying heat styler with it.
