Took iron to my stylist on my last appointment for proper instruction on how to use. Apply hair straighter gel in while wet, let completely air dry or blow dry. Lightly apply a thermal protection spray. Can use the 1" iron to flip out or flip under the ends of hair, even make spiral curls. Stylist also showed me how to make more volume at roots using the iron (start as close as possible to scalp then move straight up, over and around, like making the letter C.)

Initially, I bought an inexpensive flat iron at a drugstore, but my hairdresser convinced me I needed a good iron to protect my hair. I have figured out how to use my Sedu to add waves and curls as well as to straighten my hair. It heats up fast and leaves my hair silky. The electrical cord looks like it will last for awhile; it is longer than most of my hair appliances, too.

i love sedu it works like no other straightener! its the best i have reall curly hair and it only takes me about 30 min straighten my hair!

My first iron was a chi. Loved it until problem after problem with the cord. It also pulls the hair. Of course I never realized the problem until I found the solution. Love my Sedu!!!!...........

I am impressed with the Sedu Flat iron! I use the Sedu Heat Protecting Boost and Citra Shine AntiFriz serum when I flat iron my hair and I have great results. I have naturally curly, frizzy hair and it looks great after I use this product. It was worth the money.

After my husband stepped on my chi hair iron and cracked it in half I decided to give the sedu a try and I am really glad I did. I do have to say that the 1" plate is smaller than the chi, however I like the iron better overall. If I had to buy it again I would probably go with the 1 1/2".
Either way, I highly recommend this hair iron!
Worth every penny!

This flat iron is awesome. I recently decided to stop having my hair chemically relaxed and invest in a professional quality flat iron. After getting a bad hair cut with lots of SHORT layers I was worried that nothing would tame my gigantic poof of hair (the roots had grown in and were quite unruly). This flat iron did the trick. I was absolutely amazed. I HIGHLY recommend this flat iron to anyone who has naturally curly hair and is fighting with a cheap flat iron or hair dryer. There is a Sedu moisturizing heat protecting spray that I purchased, as well (also highly recommended). Together, these products work wonders.
I thought more expensive would be better

I had a Babyliss hair straightening iron and I thought it was good, but I'm so afraid of my hair breaking off that I decided to try something more pricey and rated high. Not a good choice. I'm really VERY pleased with my Babyliss which was on sale at Beauty Brands. Not a very recent model but if I use the Chi hot iron protector on my hair it does a fine job. I do have hair breakage but the Sedu pulled and tugged and MUCH more hair broke off than with the Babyliss. All the best to girls with curly/wavey hair. This is really a godsend for us! No matter what!
Oh and....the straightening with the Babyliss STAYED. With the Sedu it was very susceptible to humidity and curled almost instantly after straightening. I have no idea what that's about.

I love my sedu straightener. I have tried a few different straighteners( corioliss, conair) but none of them gave my hair thelook, feel, and shine that the sedu gives me. My hair stays straight during rain and high humidity days. I reccomend it!!
Broke after a month

I read all the amazing reviews about this hair iron and finally decided to splurge. It only took about a month for the thing to break and I didn't even think it was that amazing to start with. I didn't even drop it or get it wet, it just started turning off in the middle of use and continues to have this problem. It also doesn't get as hot as it did when I first bought it. I am still able to get it hot enough to do my roots since it 1'' and the plates go to the edge, but I still rely on my trusty old gold plate Hot Tools flat iron to actually straighten my hair. Buyers beware!

Bought one straightener from local wal mart and was not good quality so instead of buying a good one I cut all my hair off! Mistake should of just went out and spend the $100 and got a great hair Straightener. Even with short hair it does the "flip" like they do in the salon. Would recommend it to anyone who likes to be curly one day and straight the next.

I have owned the 1" Chi brand flat iron in the past. Everyone claims that is the best?... NOT. The first one I bought died within 4 months. The replacment one died 10 months later. And it was pulling my hair out! I couldn't get 1 year out of them! And they are much more money. No more Chi for me. Then I tried the Bed Head flat iron. Mistake! It doesn't get hot at all. That got returned.
Finally I ordered the Sedu! Folica.com had it here the next day! Very smooth plates. Nothing catches my hair. I love it!

I've been using my Sedu 1" iron for 5 weeks now....it's the best flat iron I've tried! Better than T3 (plates don't line up correctly) and CHI (way too hot!). I have shoulder length heavily highlighted blond hair that's thick and slightly wavy. I use a little Beyond the Zone "Turn Up the Heat" spray, and the Sedu iron just glides over my hair. I like that the temp is adjustable...very important with bleached hair. I use a medium heat setting, and it takes about 15 minutes to get my hair sleek & straight. I can get very close to the roots and can curl my ends under easily with the Sedu. Could never do that with the CHI because it was just so hot I felt it was frying the ends. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This flat iron is the best I have ever used. It is lightweight so is easy to handle. And it keep my hair straighter for longer. I plan on giving one to my stepdaughter for Christmas.

I normally have stick straight hair (Asian), and am very low maintenance because I usually don't have time, nor do I want to spend time styling. I used to have very long hair, almost down to my butt, but recently donated it and now have shoulder length hair. My hair stylist used a straightener on my hair after she quickly dried it, just to turn the ends in. The result really added body and movement to my hair. I purchased the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Straightener after reading all the positive reviews so I could do it myself at home. I was not disappointed. I don't use it to straighten my hair but just to style the ends. It literally only takes me 2-3 minutes to style it after it's dry. Now I usually don't go a day without styling since it's so quick!

I received the Sedu as a gift over 2 years ago. I love it it works great and it is fast. I have long hair that goes down to just above my butt I get it done in less than 30 min. What sold me was I did my hair and one time it was drizzling and I was like OMG my hair is going to puff up. It didn't and I was amazed. I have referred it to everyone I know and just this passed month bought one for my neice for her birthday. It is a must have for every girl.
