I had a solia flat iron that did ok, but there was a tiny gap at the ends of the plates where my hair would get caught and pulled. It did ok for a while, but seemed to stop working. I recently got the 1" sedu, and the difference is noticeable. The sedu is much lighter and easier to handle, and I feel that it gets my hair straighter and smoother than my old iron. I would recommend this iron to others.

the package came in great shape and working condition. the product works really well. straightens and leaves your hair shiny. of course sometimes its so humid, that i dont think any straightener could help that...
still, great product, i have no complaints.
Way better than CHI!

Well, I bought a CHI two weeks ago, and after TWO uses, it died! I returned it, and after reading how many others it had happened too, I decided to switch brands completely. I came across the Sedu. It has awesome reviews, so I decided to try it. I can't believe the results! The Sedu is absolutely amazing. I will never own anything else! My hair looks and feels super healthy! I will tell everyone I know!

I am of Mediterranean origin, and have had thick, frizzy, curly and kinky hair all of my life. I have struggled for years trying to "straighten" my hair with the blow dryer/brush and straightner methods (Wigo brand), but it was always hit-or-miss as to what kind of a "hair day" I would have. After careful review and deliberation, I finally decided on the Sedu product. I can say that I never dreamed my hair could feel so soft and silky to the touch. I can straighten my hair in about 35 minutes, and can do my daughter's hair (which is similar to mine) in less than 30 minutes! You must use products to get the best results, but I have found with the right products and the Sedu 1 inch straightener, we have been getting awesome results! It feels like the texture of my hair has been altered, and it not only feels soft and silky, it looks great (whereas it always looked so dry before). It even looks great after being out in the high humidity weather that we have had recently - I can't believe it! I considered buying the 1 1/2 inch version, but decided on the 1 inch so I could have better control, and get closer to the scalp, and am happy I did so. Several people suggested the 1 1/2 inch because we have longer and very thick, coarse hair, but I am really happy with the 1 inch, and would choose that size again. I definately recommend the Sedu product to everyone, without any hesitation.

I had researched straightners and tried all my friends to find the one that I wanted to buy. Out of all the ones I tried, Chi and Paul Mitchell for example, the Sedu was the best. My hair looks great. I couldn't live with out it now. I can't believe I waited this long to get one!

This straightener gets really hot super fast! It is great for short hair and long hair. My roommate has crazy curls and this Sedu straightener had no problem straightening her hair. I would absolutely recommend this hair tool!

I purchased the Sedu after reading many reviews vs. the Chi hair straighteners. I find that this type of flat iron gets much hotter (be careful), is easier to hold than the 1 1/2 inch iron, and effects last longer without frizzing. The time it takes to flat iron my hair has not decreased any but I would still recommend this iron to any person who has wavy, thick, and unmanageable hair. I love that I can go a few days without my hair having to be flat ironed everyday! Thank you for such a wonderful product!

We have had a Chi and a Sedu...Sedu is by far the best. Much smoother performance and light weight. The Chi was very good, had no issues, but the Sedu is better!

I recently bought a CHI straightner. I had it for only a few weeks before it broke. I couldn't decide if I wanted to replace my CHI or switch to an entirely new brand. I came across folica.com & ordered the Sedu, Let me tell you, my Sedu is WAY better than my CHI! It is SO FAST. I straightened my hair in like 10 minutes. It makes my hair so soft & shiny & I've only used it this once!! I love my sedu its way better than the CHI! If you are debating, buy the Sedu. Best hair straightener EVER!!! has me hooked after just one try!
As for using www.folica.com I HIGHLY RECOMEND IT!! The shipping was SUPER FAST! (I ordered it Thursday it came Tuesday- Monday was a holiday!!) customer service was great!! and prices are even better!!!

I JUST BOUGHT A SEDU COUPLE DAYS AGO AND OH MY GOD! IT IS THE MOST AMAZING STRAIGHTENER EVER!!!!! I HAVE HAIR DOWN TO MY WAIST AND IT IS THICK, PUFFY HAIR. IT TOOK ME 1/2 HR TO 1HR WITH BABYLISS BUT WITH SEDU IT TOOK ME 15-20 MINS. I CAN FLIP THE ENDS AND IT LOOKS SEXY! I DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO BLOW DRY AFTER I GOT OUT OF THE SHOWER. I JUST LET IT AIR DRY AND IT WAS PERFECTLY STRAIGHT AND SHINY WITH SEDU! I DIDNT BUY IT FROM THIS WEBSITE BUT STILL I WANTED TO LET EVERYONE OUT THERE KNOW THAT THIS IS AN AMAGZING PRODUCT AND ANYONE IN NEED OF A STRAIGHTENER STOP LOOKING AND JUST BUY A SEDU!!!

I bought the Sedu last year and wanted an extra Flat Iron just in case. As my extra, I bought the Solia Pink because it was a bit less expensive and tried it once. I read the good reviews on the Solia and thought I would try something else. It felt cheap, and didn't have the safety cord so I returned it and bought the Sedu again. I'm VERY HAPPY with the Sedu and it's worth the extra money. I straightens my curly hair well and makes it look very shiny feels soft.

I always just left my hair curly because flat irons pulled my hair and didn't straighten it that much. This one doesn't pull and it is super quick.

I have owned and used straightening irons for many years. Prior to this iron, i used different CHI models. This iron is by far the best I've used. My hair feels great, looks healthier, and it seems to be allowing my hair to recover from the use of the CHI irons.. which i feel are somewhat damaging. I would highly recommend this one. You'll love it! It's also small, so you could carry it in a medium to large purse if you wanted to!!

This flat iorn is great, cuts my time down to five minutes. I have an angled bob so iorning my hair is a must. The size is prefect for short syles. I definitly recomend it.

I previously had a $85 Cricket that wasn't doing the job on my thick, short hair. This one is expensive, but it's fabulous!!! It heats up within a minute and it does not pull your hair at all! Worth the money!

Now I could wear my hair in anyway I want it. I could never wear my hair shorter without the frizz before and now its softer and manageable. People thought that I paid so much for rebonding but in reality, it was just one of those miracles that Sedu could do to your hair.

This is a great iron,it is even better than the chi. It gets the hair silky and straight without a lot of product on it, it just glides through the hair. I love this iron and use it more than any of the other irons I have purchased, it is worth the money I paid I wish I would have discovered it sooner.
