I had my eyes on a sedu for a really long time..and now I finally have one!
My hair is wavy and curly but sedu straightened it and it worked fine..I've used straighteners from target and drugstores that didn't work so well..(I was real lucky if my hair stayed "Straight" till lunch..) and almost decided for getting my hair done chemically from a Japanese hair salon, like my friends did. You don't have to straighten your hair with a flat iron and it saves you time but they put chemicals..in your hair. Another thing is I notice that my friends hairs have some split ends and another had her way too high at the roots..But someone online told me to try sedu (thank you!) and you get to make curls, flip, and straighten your hair. Bingo. Only thing is it fries it and does damage. I love my shiny natural bouncy curls and waves so I hope my heat protector does a good job.. (I use Nexxus Heat Protexx).
Anyways, yeah. Lovin my sedu here =)

I bought the Sedu back in 2006 and paid well over $130 at the time. Funny enough I only got a 1 yr. warranty and looks like they are now offering 2 yrs. You're gonna need it-and let me tell you why...
My cord shorts out. I have to move it around and the warrenty is over so I can't send it back....go figure!

well the design is very sleek and nice.
i did my moms hair first to see how it worked on her thick curly hair and it cut down on the time it took and left it smooth. i did my hair aswell and i loved it. my only thing is that the cord get wrapped up with itself and its annoying so i tied the lenght i dont need to see if it helps.

I love this iron! I thought it would not work on my thick, relaxed hair but it smooths my flyaways and leaves the hair shiny. Some might think the price is too high but when you consider the trips it can save you to the hair salon, it all evens out. I was so impressed with it that I bought one for my daughter to take with her to college. Now she tells me all of her friends are in love with it and I told her to give them the web site so they can also get one. I have to also comment on Folica's customer service. It is the best that I have ever dealt with and they are very efficient. Try this iron, you won't regret it!
Really worth all the hype!

I received this flat iron today and jumped right in the shower>blow dried my hair... and picked up the straightener. WOW. I couldn't believe how well it worked, and couldn't believe that *I* was the one creating that beautiful straight hair. Salon type hair in 30 minutes! I would say even better than salons in my case. This flat iron is amazing I would HIGHLY recommend!

I am fairly new to the flat iron scene.
I have very thick, coarse hair that developed some crazy & unruly waves after the birth of my children.
For awhile I was able to deal with it by blow drying it straight. But, for some reason, it has become even more wavy (NOT cute waves at all!) & very frizzy!
I started out with a 1" Chi. Really liked it a lot, but after using for only a short time, my hair seemed to be getting very dried out & damaged.
From there, I went to the 1" Solia (because the Sedus were out of stock). I loved the way it glided through my hair easily & made it super shiny, but it didn't seem to get my hair as straight as the Chi. So, I decided to try the 1 1/4" Solia thinking the bigger size would make a difference. But, I had the same issue...just didn't really get it that straight.
Finally, I noticed that Sedu was back in stock, so I decided to give it a try...& I am thrilled with it!
It's the best of both worlds & more!
It straightens as well, if not better than my Chi.
Glides easily through my hair & leaves it soft & shiny!
The best part is that it's super lightweight which makes it so easy to handle!
I think for stubborn, difficult hair, Sedu is DEFINITELY the ay to go!
In fact, I just ordered a second one to keep on hand as a "backup".
So glad I discovered this website & the Sedu!!!

way faster than traditional flat irons, makes my thick wavy hair lay nice, soft, smooth, straight and silky.
just need to do it in small pieces for best results.

I received the Sedu Flat Iron last week and am thrilled with the results. I have fine, layered, curly, hair that I like to style straight. This iron heats up quickly, is lightweight, and gentle on my hair. I have NEVER been able to get my layers this straight. I am very happy with the way my hair looks and feels. Definitely worth every penny!

I love this flat iron. It leaves me frizzy, poofy hair straight and sleek. I have had great results with it and have reccomended it to many friends. I live in a very hot, humid state, and my hair stays great even after being outside in the elements.

i was a little unsure at first when buying the sedu, but read some good reviews and also my beautician recommended the chi or sedu so i ordered one. after getting the sedu i loved it. my hair is not thick and when i straighten it with the sedu it is still soft and doesnt suck the moisture out and doesnt damage my hair. i keep it on a low temp and it does the job beautifully! i just ordered the hair dryer and am waitng 4 it to come in. i wld recommend the sedu flat iron for anyone!

I bought a Sedu recently and I LOVE it! I've had a CHI for the past two or three years. I bought it because I had heard it was the best. It worked for the first year really well, until the cord started shorting out. My sister got a Sedu and i really wanted to try something new. It is 100% better than my CHI!! My CHI would leave my hair straight but dried out and kind of ratty looking and feeling. The Sedu doesn't do that at all. It leaves your hair looking and feeling silky and healthy. It also heats up a lot quicker and isn't as heavy. Anyone who is considering getting one definitely should!!! You'll love it!

I was orignially hesitant to purchase this flat iron due to the price, but I now realize that it was worth every penny. My old $20 Revlon flat iron didn't compare to the Sedu; the Revlon flat iron pulled my hair and left it frizzy and dull. Now, with the Sedu, my hair is soft and shiny. My bad hair days are over thanks to the Sedu.
If you aren't exactly sure you should invest the money in the Sedu, take it from me: THE SEDU WORKS WONDERS!!!
Hands down the best flat iron i've ever purchased!

setting is great you can choose from 250 to 410 really hot but dont recommend it. heat's up quick and my hair goes from curly/waivy to slick staright in a few minutes & save's me lots of money instead of going to the salon. I luv my sedu flatiron, i myself have the 1 1/2 inch thinking about purchasing the 1 inch to take with me on trips just to have a back up one.

I am a professional hairdresser and I used to think Chi was dthe best no more,It has a faster recoverery time it is smooth and does not pull the hair , the sedu smooth is great for really curly hair,its less costly that the FHi runway and does not have the $400.00 price tag.

I've had the chi before and it was horrible on my hair I thought that it was about as good as the $20 flat irons that I've bought is the past, which is why I had a little skepticism about the sedu. I'm a black woman with very very thick hair who can't always get to the salon to get a perm. So, after reading a lot of reviews I thought what could I lose if it sucks I just return and get my money back. The first time I tried it and I haven't had a perm in a month it made my hair so straight it was like I had a perm in my hair and not only that it made is silky and soft usually after I straightened my hair it's a big frizz ball but after I finished with the sedu it laid down flat! I loved it and would recommend this flat iron to anybody.

I have been using the CHI ceramic flat iron for many years and was due for a new one. Although I was very happy with my CHI, I wanted to see what other brands of ceramic flat irons were available. After researching, I came across the Sedu flat iron and was surprised at the positive reviews. Therefore, I decided to order one for myself. After the first use, I was very happy with the results. My hair was straight and shiny, and the iron was very easy to handle. In addition to being satisfied with the product, I was very amazed at how quickly my product was delivered(less than a week to Hawaii). It took me awhile to order this product because I was very skeptical, but I am glad that I took that chance!

I have very FRIZZY CURLY hair and I let my hair air dry with no product today and when it was fully dry I ran the straightner through my hair and within 9mins it was bone straight and shiny smooth. WOW BEST DAMN STRAIGHTNER! I'm also from Canada and the sedu was here in 1 day.

Previously I had a GHD styler but there was no temperature dial so you couldn't adjust the high temperature. The Sedu is great because you can control the temperature which is great for fine hair like mine that can't take excessive heat. Very happy with it and it was half the price of the GHD!
